Probably many people will not agree with me about this brand, but my opinion is based on my personal experience. I have always read very positive reviews about Bliss products, I have to accept that the packaging seems beautiful and simple, and that gave those reviews a plus. bliss - Mighty Marshmallow Mask Claims: This airy whipped mask – with a brightening boost of marshmallow root extract – delivers a surge of hydration to instantly reveal a new luminosity. This is the first product that I had the opportunity to try, I purchased a mini size at target to try it out, the texture is nice and leaves the skin smooth, but that’s all. I wouldn't repurchase. bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum Claims: This effective yet gentle resurfacing night serum contains a unique six-acid blend of powerful glycolic acid plus gentler polyhydroxy and fruit acids to gradually dissolve dead skin cells for super smooth, refined skin overnight. ideal for all skin types. & bliss - Glow & Hydrate Day Serum This multi-action, power serum contains special grade niacinamide (a potent antioxidant also known as vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to replenish and defend skin for the ultimate everyday glow. I saw many positive comments about these two products, the truth... I didn’t like them 🙈. One of the two caused me a breakout, so it is a big NO for me. bliss - What a Melon Water Jelly Hydrator for Combination Skin Claims: Weightless jelly formula feels as if it transforms into water on contact. Best for combination skin. I didn’t like it either, because it caused me irritation, probably due to the fragrance, which is quite intense. Maybe it breaks some hearts, but the truth is that I don't like this brand and after the experiences I had, I don't feel like trying other products. Honestly for me it’s an overhyped brand 🙈🙈🙈. #CherieCreator

Who remembers this OG classic lippie?!
If you remember the REVLON - ColorBurst Balm Stain , you’ve been around for a while. This is 100% my oldest lip product! By the way, these used to be called “just bitten kissable balm stain” - thats how old 😳 I’ve likely had this for 7+ years. Yes, I know, that’s gross, but hear me out...it doesn’t smell, no mold, and it works just as well as day 1. This is in the shade “honey”. I do also own 1 or 2 other colors, but this is my clear favorite. In the second photo you can see how little I have left. This is in my project pan (more info on my IG page), and I think I can finish this before August. You can apply a thin layer for sheer color or build it up for opaque color. The formula is super comfortable and lasts for a few hours before fading, leaving behind a deep pink stain that I usually just top with a gloss or balm instead of re-applying. These can be a little hard to find, but I did see them at Walmart and on Amazon. I also suggest checking your local drugstores, especially in the sale section. Because of that, prices may vary from $7-10ish, approximately. The formula is totally worth the money. If you like hydrating, long-wearing stains, you’d like these. I would not repurchase, however, because Revlon is not cruelty-free. #CherieCreator

At-Home Hard Wax
Raise your hand if you tried to give yourself a wax during quarantine! 🙋🏽♀️ I actually started waxing my under arms long before the quarantine started so this wasn't anything new for me, what was new was trying to keep up my Brazilian wax. It was not easy, it was not fun, and it will not happen ever again! Let me tell you, I have a high pain tolerance and have gotten regular Brazilian waxes for a couple of years now, i thought i was ready and was absolutely wrong! Under arms on the other hand are totally do-able, with the right wax! I really loved the wakse - Metamorphic Lava Hard Wax Beans for a few reasons. PROS: ➕ change color so you know when to remove the hair ➕ smell amazing ➕ contain soothing ingredients ➕ heat up the the microwave so no fancy equipment is needed ➕ doesn't get too hard and crack CONS: ➖ A bit expensive at $36 for 12oz ➖ I wish the jar was bigger and also could double as the melting pot ➖ didn't come with popsicle sticks to apply wax Overall, the pros outweigh the cons and I would repurchase! I'm actually waiting on an IPL Laser to be delivered so I haven't repurchased. If you're new to waxing yourself, do your research but this wax gets the job done and the color changing and scent make it fun! #CherieCreator

Gisou- worth the hype?
✨My hair type is fine, bleached blonde and generally fairly dry. It’s also very long! ✨In this post I’m going to focus on two super popular products by Gisou which is a haircare brand that focuses in honey-infused products. I’m going to discuss the Insta famous Hair Oil and Hair Perfume. 🐝 Gisou honey is Mirsalehi Honey from the Mirsalehi Bee Garden which is the family garden of the creator Negin Mirsalehi and these products are cruelty-free. 🍯 HONEY-INFUSED HAIR OIL The Gisou hair oil retails for $87 for 3.4 fl oz and also comes in a mini size which I have at $46 for 1.7 fl oz. It can be used daily as a pre-styler and finisher, can be added to a hair mask or used as a leave-in overnight treatment. Honey is the main ingredient which has minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. ✨This oil is STUNNING. It is lightweight, smells amazing and isn’t sticky at all. It always makes my hair look better and I only use what I pull from the dropper either on wet or dry hair. It makes my hair feel softer and smell amazing. To use it, I use the dropper and add the amount to my hand then rub my hands together and brush it through my hair with my fingers while also lightly touching the top for flyaways. ✨I would definitely recommend this product, especially during one of their sales! 🍯 HONEY-INFUSED HAIR PERFUME The Gisou hair perfume retails for $83 for 3.4 fl oz and also comes in a mini size which I have at $44 for 1.7 fl oz. The main ingredient in this is of course also honey which is great for hair like I stated before. ✨I love this because using regular perfume on hair can be very drying. This on the other hand feels great in hair and also of course has that signature Gisou scent. One spray goes a long way and I will definitely be repurchasing the full size of this product. ❤️Although I’ve heard mixed things on their other products, the Hair Oil and Hair Perfume are a BIG win in my book 🍯 gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume

Fav skincare brands: Youth to the People
Considering a brand as a “favorite” of yours should go deeper than your love of their products. Youth to the People has longtime been a brand touting their sustainability efforts and their packaging is glass which can be recycled as well as the inking on the glass being made to be removed easily. They time and time again are sure to be inclusive, supporting and bringing in black creators to be part of their campaigns. I appreciate their awareness and wanting for change. I feel like they are never stationary—they are always evolving and moving forward in their space. I have been vocal about this in the past, but their adaptogen line gave me allergic reactions. This is because adaptogens are mushrooms, and my skin has had consistent reactions to mushrooms in makeup and skincare. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy their Superberry Dream Mask YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask as well as their Superfood Cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser . I feel these are formulated to help nourish the skin while being aware of harsh or irritating ingredients for sensitive skinned people. They’ve also recently came out with a “Pride” focused kit where they’re matching 100% of profits up to $75,000 to GLSEN, the leading education organization working to create safe and inclusive schools for LGBTQ+ students. I urge you to do your research on brands you support to see what they’re doing for their communities and what they’re being silent about. I want to address that YTTP did not have the most proactive approach to the recent murder of George Floyd. They only posted about it seemingly after pressure from the skincare Instagram community & did not mention anything about donating. I am disappointed, but with their track record I am monitoring their actions moving forward to see how they react to other issues, and I’m hoping they act in a more proactive manner next time and continue to support black creators. That being said, overall I have to say YTTP is one of my favorite skincare brands. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

My current favorite lip balm
You guys, I LOVE lip balms. I always have at least one near me at all times. One of my first steps in the morning post-skincare is applying a lip balm. It preps my lips for whatever lip product I’m going to wear. This is the HENNÉ ORGANICS - Luxury LIP Balm V2 I am rarely impressed by lip balms. Usually they only last for maybe an hour or two on my very dry lips. This balm lasts several hours and feels so silky! It glides on clear and is unscented. This balm is made with awesome ingredients, including coconut oil, Shea butter, avocado oil, jojoba, and vitamin E, to nourish and protect your lips. My vegan friends should note this does contain beeswax. Henné’s packaging is very luxurious. The black metal tube feels so sleek in my hand and protects the product well. I also have a tinted version of this that I enjoy. I have barely made a dent in this balm despite daily use over the past few months. This will be a permanent staple in my collection. This balm was gifted to me; however, I am so impressed with this brand and would happily purchase more from them. I’m glad they are a part of the clean beauty space! By the way, Henné has this same balm in potted form, if that’s what you prefer! Price: $19 for a full size. Samples are available for $3 on the Henné website. Totally worth the $ in my opinion, and I rarely say that about a balm that’s more than $10. Availability: Henné products are available on their website, Aillea, Credo, and other online retailers. #CherieCreator

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
