My Favorite Wavy Hair Styler -2020
Finally, I found something that styles my hair effortlessly and after using this curl cream you do not need to put too much mousse or gel. MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Argan Oil 3-Day Smoothing Cream In the past few years after getting curly hair, I have tried many many products over the years to control my “frizzy curls”. Nothing has worked like this curl cream. I use to style my hair not using leave-in conditioners not oils. Sometimes I notice my curls are dry and frizzy and none of the conditioners or masques seem to work after dry out. This is my most used and favorite product. I got it on sale in Shoppers for only $3.99 and it was amazing. It’s really moisturizing and makes my curls so bouncy and full. To me, this is really what it says. I really like the textures. It is more of a light lotion or milky type product. Not thick cream or anything heavy. The consistency is creamy and not sticky. I prefer natural waves. This one is good for that especially if you are not a fan of strong intense hold on your waves like me. After washing, conditioning, I applied this curl cream in sections while my hair was damp. The next step I normally do is to apply applied the curl cream to my ends to seal in moisture kind of like a leave-in conditioner and wrap it in a towel. Let the hair dry and break up the cast. And I would use a hair oil for extra shine. It is easy to absorb and effortless to use. To me it is more of a moisturizing product so it really helps just define the curls. At the same time, it keeps the hair looks shiny, dewy and moisturize and not crunchy. This spreads so well and leaves my hair incredibly soft. Overall, As a drugstore product, it is totally worth the price. It defines curls, moisturizes they hair and smells amazing.

Wavy hair products
Ok so I recently started using a new shampoo and conditioner. I try to stay within the Shea Moisture brand and sometimes I’ll venture out into Cantu or something similar. I’ve had this shampoo and conditioner set for about 3 weeks now and holy crap! It’s like I have a new head of hair. I used to always use products that contained some sort of coconut product whether it be Cantu products or others and since I’ve moved away from that I’ve seen a HUGE difference. I’ve seen posts from a lot of other girls saying coconut in their hair products has really dampened their curl texture and I thought maybe I had the same problem and honestly, I think I was right! The more I moved away from coconut, the curlier my hair has gotten. Anyway, on to the products! The Shea Moisture Power Greens is a great combo. It’s got essential nutrients and moisturizes my hair extremely well. My only problem is, the shampoo is VERY watery. I guess the plus side to that is it makes me control how much shampoo I’m putting into my hand so, I’m not too mad about it. The conditioner though is perfect! Both have a very light scent, I don’t think it’s super over bearing at all but then again I’ve been using super strong scented coconut products so I may just not be able to smell it all that well (haha) The Shea Moisture Hair Milk is one of the best leave in conditioners I’ve ever used. It doesn’t leave my hair super greasy and weighed down and having wavy hair, that’s important to avoid! And last but not least, As I Am Curling Jelly. I love love LOVE this hair gel. It’s very liquidy and thin so it keeps a good hold without casting my hair into a rock. It’s by far the best hair gel I’ve tried and I hope I never find the day where I can’t buy it anymore. My Hair Routine!! Shampoo using only a quarter size amount Condition with my hair flipped over and scrunch my hair with conditioner until my hair clumps. I use about 5-6 pumps of conditioner to fully condition my hair and it forms clumps I rinse the conditioner out of my hair still flipped over and I just scrunch and squeeze until it feels like I got what I want out after that DONT FLIP YOUR HAIR UP YET While I’m still in the shower I scrunch my hair out until my hair isn’t sopping wet, BUT it is still very wet I then scrunch in my hair milk. I use about a nickel size of this then finally I take small globs of hair gel and scrunch it into my hair until it starts forming good clumps and everywhere has a good layer of gel to form a good cast after I get all my product in I plop my hair in a hair towel for anywhere from 20-45 minutes depending on how much time I have once I take the towel out, I gently scrunch my hair with the towel to make sure my hair isn’t still dripping wet (my hair holds A LOT of water and I really need to squeeze it out sometimes) after that I let everything air dry and then break the cast once it’s completely dry!

How to do a Half-Up Hairstyle on Long Wavy Hair
I have pretty long hair down to my hips. Many people just aren’t sure how to style long hair, and for a long time, neither did I. Up until recently, I would just let my hair down and call it a day. Because my hair is also wavy and most hairstyles are designed for straight hair, it’s been difficult for me to find cute styles that work on my hair without looking like an absolute mess. Also because my hair is on the drier side, I tend to stay away from heat tools unless I absolutely have to. Today I’m going to show you a heatless hairstyle that shows off your length without being basic! I saw this hairstyle on TikTok in a tutorial by @learnwithlati. This girl is absolutely amazing, and I urge you to check her out if you have long hair that you don’t know what to do with. This style doesn’t take long at all, about 2 minutes, and doesn’t even need a hair elastic! Products needed: Wide toothed comb Hair oil/detangler if needed Hair spray (optional) Bobby pins (optional) Steps: That’s it! Ridiculously easy, right? You can go ahead and hair spray it if you need to or use bobby pins to hold in place, but it shouldn’t be a problem at all if your hair is long enough.
✨ Wavy Hair Care ✨
I have wavy hair that I color, so my typical concerns are repair and frizz! Here are some products I use to take care of my hair! . I typically wash my hair every 2-4 days, depending what type of activities I’ve done (exercised or went out to the grocery store or just sat at home and worked on schoolwork). I haven’t found a good dry shampoo yet that works with my hair. Once a week, I use a scalp scrub to make sure I get all the products out I’ve used for the week and give it a fresh start. I also use a hair mask once or twice a week to further nourish my hair and help it stay healthy. I typically only put some frizz cream or spray into my hair after I wash it and then let it air dry and wear it down or in a ponytail or bun most days. . Zion Health - Deep Cleansing Scalp & Hair Scrub Pear Blossom With Sea Salt Key Ingredients: Sea salt (exfoliates and cleanses), argan oil (protects against damage), and aloe (soothes). Scent: Pear, with a hint of floral Consistency/Texture: Gritty scrub-like texture Price: $19.99 for 4 oz / 113 g Experience: The perfect amount of grittiness to scrub the scalp, but isn’t too harsh. The scent is nice, but doesn’t last long on the hair. I use this after I shampoo once a week and notice that my hair doesn’t get as oily anymore and has more shine because there isn’t as much product buildup. I was sent this by the company. . JOICO - K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock Instant Shine and Repair Treatment Key Ingredients: African Manketti Oil (protects color from fading), keratin (repairs damage), and argal oil (deeply hydrated and nourishes hair). Scent: Floral Consistency/Texture: Cream Price: $21.99 for 4.7 fl oz / 140 mL Experience: I bought the full size of this last fall when it was half off at Ulta during their hair event. It helps keep my color from fading as quickly and definitely has helped keep my hair nourished. I use this a few times a week and it keeps my hair sleek, soft, and it doesn’t break as often. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave my hair feeling or looking greasy. . ALTERNA - Caviar Anti-Aging Smoothing Anti-Frizz Blowout Butter Key Ingredients: Pure Caviar extract (helps with manageability, breakage, dryness, and dullness), and a blend of Abyssinian, Camellia, and Avocado Oils (condition and smooth the hair, restoring its strength and luster). Scent: Floral Consistency/Texture: Cream Price: $34 for 5.1 oz / 150 mL Experience: I don’t blow dry my hair often (make a couple times a year), which this is used for to help reduce dry time, but as a frizz cream. It really helps my hair air dry and not be as frizzy! I just apply it from the mid-length of my hair to the ends. It can make your hair look and feel greasy if you apply it too close to the roots. It works great even in the humid Texas heat! Whenever I have used it before blow drying my hair, it definitely reduced the amount of time it took to blow dry it. You only need the smallest amount, so worth the price.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
