Vitamin C in skincare
Vitamin C is one of the best anti-aging ingredients on the market — and the key to maintaining a smooth, even, and glowy complexion. Although you’re probably getting vitamin C in your diet, using these skincare products is the most direct way to reap these benefits.
HOW TO: Vitamin C. All Tips and tricks!
Skin need a little pick me up? Some brightening? You definitely need to add Vitamin C to your routine! Our skin naturally produces vitamin c, but as we age the amount we have naturally becomes less and less. Sun exposure and pollution accelerate the loss of natural VC. Why Vitamin C? It’s a powerhouse ingredient! it evens out skin tone reduces fine lines and wrinkles protects skin from environmental stressors And radical damage “Problems” with Vitamin C it’s extremely sensitive to air and light. It’s oxidizes and breaks down. It loses it potency. packaging needs to be opaque and let as little light in. It also needs to be able to be closed and keep air out. YOU NEED TO WEAR SPF when using vitamin c. Your skin becomes more sensitive to the sun. *from my own personal experince, I felt burning and breakouts from taking any dog for a walk after applying my VC and no sunscreen.* How to use it in your routine? apply morning and night. Always use SPF in the day time with it. apply in the typical order of your routine. If it’s a serum, apply from thinnest to thickest serums. Vitamin C works just fine with other ingredients, so feel free to use it with Niacinamide and even retinol. Just be wary of what your skin can handle MY FAVORITE VITAMIN C PRODUCT: VERSED - FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC + powder form has a longer shelf life. + add to/mix into your favorite serum or moisturizer. + a lot more effective that I thought it would be! + noticed visible brightening and faded dark spots within the first 3 days of use. + fine powder that mixes in perfectly with other products. + made with tapioca starch. VERSED-FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC
Works good on dark spots
I often get dark spots from my acne and this does work to fade them away. It also is very smooth and makes you skin feel really soft. It's a runny product, I suggest a good shake before using and do not over use. I used it mainly at night and it was fine. Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of aging. This product is a water-free suspension of 23% L-Ascorbic Acid powder.
Gentle vitamin c derivative
The ordinary is a great affordable brand with sooo many different ingredients. Due to this it is a brand that you need to be well versed in skincare to understand and successfully shop from. One of the ingredients that the ordinary sells so many varieties of is Vitamin C. It is very easy to get lost when shopping for Vitamin C from the ordinary as they sell options for all different skin types. The way I sort through the options is to sort then into either true vitamin c (L-ascorbic acids) and derivatives. I have my preference from both catergories as sometimes I like to use a more potent product and sometimes I like to give my skin a break but make sure I maintain my glow. The Ordinary - Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F is my favourite of the vitamin c derivatives as it is very gentle but effective. Effectiveness: I have really noticed that my hyperpigmentation has reduced while I have used this product. It also works well with other products, never piling. Since it is a derivative you don’t have to worry about using it in conjunction with niacinimide or peptides which is great. It is the perfect morning serum as it boosts the effectiveness of my spf and it includes Vitamin F which is a great antioxidant. Experience: I have dry skin so I like that it is a light oil that is very quickly absorbed into my skin. It really leaves my skin soft and glowing. There is no stinging or flushing from this product so it is a nice user experience. Price: The ordinary has very affordable prices, this cost $17.80 cad for 1oz The Ordinary - Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F overall I really enjoyed this product and I would repurchase

Naturium Skin Vitamin C
🌼The Vitamin C Complex serum from @naturiumskin 🌼Vitamin C is always great at brightening the skin so I was excited to try this product. 🌼After research I found that this product claims to brighten skin, boost collagen production and shield the skin from environmental stressors. 🌼I have been using this product for 2weeks now and I can see subtle changes in my skin, especially since I have not had a good vitamin C in my routine. 🌼I use it in the morning, with my other serums and I make sure to use sunscreen as well. 🌼I also like that the packaging of this product contains information about the product and it’s ingredients. 🌼Do you use vitamin C? 4 VITAMIN C FAVES 💕 Mini Reviews
Vit C should be the most commonly purchased skincare serum. There are so many reasons why a Vitamin C serum is important to use and it's basically a cure-all beauty product. Most serums help with sun damage, fine lines, acne scars, under eye bags, free-radicals and antioxidants. These are the 4 serums I own and love! I wanted to make a post about each of these in case you need help finding the right one. I received @thrivecausemetics Liquid Light Therapy as PR in April (I believe). I can not obsess enough over it. This one is 100% my favorite one I've tried, there is just something about the texture and consistency that feels so good ($59). I love this because it brightens the skin with red and blue light therapy to stimulate collage production and dramatically reduce wrinkles and reveal clear skin @summerfridays CC Me ($64) is next up on my list of faves. This one is also formulated with squalane to boost hydration while sealing in moisture and a peptide complex to help improve with elasticity and firmness. I find that this serum as well as the next one I am going to talk about are really good at brightening dull skin or if you have a lot of hyperpigmentation and use these twice a day, I do find that it truly helps combat it. I love @farmacybeauty lately! I am obsessed. I had a sample of the Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum and once I finished I was really reaching for more, so I caved and purchased a full size ($62) I find this one to be an interesting formula because it has 4 forms of Vitamin C. They use Acerola Cherry Extract which is one of the richest sources of NATURAL vitamin C to known to reduce signs of aging. If we want to talk about funky formulas, nothing could beat @volitionbeauty Strawberry-C Serum ($42). This formula is powered by Strawberry Fruit & Seed Extract to help brighten dull skin as well as unclogging pores and remove excess oil. This was the first full sized Vitamin C I purchased, mainly because of the reviews and the price! Although I no longer reach for this one as much, I do find if you want a great started serum or you aren't looking to spend a lot - this one does the job!
SUMMER FRIDAYS-CC Me Vitamin C Serum
The best vitamin C serum, for a great price 👆🏻
Give me some of that vitamin C🍊. @timelesshaskin. . . A new favourite in my morning skincare routine! Do you use vitamin C in your skincare routine? - - This serum contains vitamin C; also has Ferulic acid and vitamin E which help stabilize and enhance the function of the vitamin C. - - Benefits of the use of vitamin C in you’re routine: - antioxidant: helping protect from sun damage and air pollution. - helps build collagen. - can help with discolouration and hyperpigmentation. - helps with acne and acne prevention - because vitamin c has strong anti-inflammatory properties. . . My thoughts on the product so far: I really love how it makes my skin feel. The consistency is more watery of a serum which feels refreshing on my face. It is not irritating to my skin at all. I apply 2-3 drops and use my fingertips to massage into my face. I’ve noticed it’s helped with my discolouration around my mouth which I’ve mentioned before I really wanted to try and fix! So I am extremely happy about that. My skin appears to be smoother, radiant and no blemishes since I’ve added it into my skincare routine. I will be testing it out more but I truly have been enjoying it!
