Battle of the Eye Masks ⚡️💙 Gel vs Paper Foil
Sometimes when things are rough it’s the little things that can get you through the day. For me today it was eye patches! They are my favorite little pick me up 🖤 In the mail today I got iNNBEAUTY PROJECT - Electrify Lightening Bolt Eye Mask which I was very excited about. They have a 4 pack for $20 on their website (or at the time I’m writing this they have this in a 2 for $2 mask bundle with this). I’m very drawn to the neon packaging. The blue lightening bolts are so cute and fun!! Definitely selfie worthy. They are a gel eye mask which instantly feels cool and soothing on the eyes. It claims to depuff, hydrate, and even out the skintone. My only complaint about them is I wish the lightening bolt, as cute as it is, was a little bigger so it hit more surface area. After 10 minutes my eyes were depuffed and hydrated. They did slip off my face a little but were easily pushed back into place (mind you I was walking around). It also doesn’t have a smell. I decided to compare this with another similar eye mask in my collection, the WANDER BEAUTY - Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks . Instead of being gel these are a paper foil mask. Because it is paper it doesn’t have that intense of a cooling effect as the gel formula does. You can get a 6 pack for $25 at Sephora. It claims to brighten, hydrate, and reduce the appearance of dark circles. What I like about this mask is the size! It definitely covers my under eyes and then some. They also don’t slip off my face. After 10 minutes my under eyes were definitely hydrated and soft. It also has a weird, soapy smell. While they both did hydrate the under eyes I personally prefer the INNBEAUTYPROJECT because of its gel formula. I feel like the gel formula helps depuff the eyes more than the paper foil. They are cuter and at this point it’s more about self care/feeling good for myself. Plus I love the cooling effect it has where the Wander does not. If they could combine the wander eye patches with the INNBEAUTYPROJECT you would have the perfect eye patch 🖤💙

Say Goodbye to tired eyes !
Last 2 days I got less sleep than usual. I spent most most of my day working and then ended up binging on Netflix to get work off my mind. I noticed the next morning my eyes looked so tired and under eyes were darker. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to catch up on sleep so I looked to an eye mask which would help me get rid of the tired look. Holler and glow under eye mask: First the packaging is pretty nice considering that’s its only 3-4 dollars. It’s easy to apply and stays in place. It is soothing and calming. Try not to smile or basically change a lot of facial expressions which could cause creasing around the eyes. I left it on for about 20 minutes. I didn’t rinse my face after and let my skin absorb everything. HOLLER AND GLOW - Money Honey Facial Treatments Oh k! under eye mask: I tried this out just yesterday. Personally the texture was a bit nicer as compared to the holler and glow mask. It contains ginseng and eucalyptus which probably helped with under eye brightening and even out my skin tone. The best thing was the quick absorption and soothing effect. I left it on for 30 minutes and my skin felt revitalized. Loved this k beauty product. Oh K! - Under Eye Mask, Ginseng & Eucalyptus

I love that the patches are sparkly, and of course the cute packaging (if you can’t tell, I’m a sucker for cute things lol). They feel really soothing and refreshing, and they actually stay in place which is nice. After removing them (directions are to wear them 10-20 minutes and I usually do 20), my under eye area is super hydrated and noticeably brighter. I think the price is great considering you get 30 pairs. I would definitely recommend these!

Budget Care for Eye Wrinkles and Dark Circles
You care a lot for your skin, but do you ever notice the skin around your eyes? My skincare routine consists of all the basics: cleanser, toner, essence, serum, spot treatment, moisturizer, and of course, eye creams. I’ve already talked about some of my favorite eye creams before like AHC - The Real Eye Cream For Face Season 5 and MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream so today, I’m going to talk about three kinds of products that also help me take care of the skin around my eyes. 1. Sheet Masks Sheet masks are good for the entire face, but they can be really beneficial for your eyes as well. As you know, these kinds of masks are packed with serums or essences that can really help in caring for your skin, including your eye area. One of my favorite budget masks is POND'S - Skin Brightening Serum Mask which costs only $1.99 per sheet mask. It brightens up my entire face as well as the area below my eyes. Plus, it’s just so refreshing. 2. Eye Pads Eye pads refer to those products that you put over your eyes. I normally just use real fruits or vegetables when I’m at home, but infused pads work well too, especially when I’m out traveling. The best budget eye pads I’ve found is PUREDERM - Hydro Soothing Cucumber Pads costing $1.99 per pack of 10 pads. Each pad contains cucumber extract, which is really great if you want to soothe your tired eyes. 3. Under-Eye Patches Under-eye patches, as the name implies, are used for your under-eye area. Most of the patches I’ve seen and used before are for dark circles, which is perfect for me because while I don’t really have huge bags, I do get dark circles a lot, especially when I’m doing late-night work. Not only can under-eye patches reduce the appearance of dark circles, but they can also help with fine lines. One budget product that I’ve been using for quite some time now is PUREDERM - Dark Circle Reducer Eye Patches which retail for around $1.49 per pack of 4 patches. You typically just put them on your under-eye area and leave them there for about 30 minutes or so. Have you tried using eye pads and under-eye patches below? I’m still looking for the best products in these categories so if you’ve got any suggestions, feel free to share in the comments below!

Looking like I got a full 8 hours of sleep 😴
Boutijour recently sent over a few products for me to try and I can’t stop using their eye patches! Lotus Melight Eye Patch: I've been using these in the morning to depuff and brighten my under eye area. I leave these on for about 20 minutes, or until they don't feel wet anymore before taking them off. These don't slide around a lot and I've found that working the gels into the skin disperses the essence so they stay in place. They work to reduce dark spots, hydrate, and brighten the under-eye with botanical extracts. I've been really enjoying the immediate cooling effect these have! You get 60 patches so if used everyday, you have a months worth. Petals of Botanique Tightening Mask: My skin is usually clear of acne but is dull in appearance. The goal of this mask is to help firm, tighten, and uplift a dull appearance. This is a very watery mask and its recommended to leave on for 30 minutes for it to set. I haven't noticed a difference in my appearance yet, but I love the feeling of my skin after using it. Snow Lotus Lifting Mask: This sheet mask contains Snow Lotus extract in the form of essence. It's ideal for illuminating and energizing the skin. There's quite a bit of essence so it was difficult to unfold the mask and apply this neatly. It was very cooling and the essence did give my skin a nice healthy glow afterward, however, it was almost impossible to absorb all of the leftover essences so I had to wipe some off.
