Bronzer vs. Contour: Which one is right for you?
I've been confused about the real differences between bronzers and blushes for quite a long time. I mean, they look quite similar, right?😂Having googled a lot, I finally manage to distinguish them and use them correctly! Here are my thoughts about them: What's the difference? They actually have different purposes! The goal of bronzer is to create natural-looking warmth on the face instead of noticeable shadows. Therefore, you can have a sun-kissed image by applying bronzers correctly! I've seen a lot of beauty gurus use bronzers and highlighters to create a dolphin skin makeup look or sheer makeup look! It's a must-have for a glowy makeup look! Bronzer can also be used for contouring, but only matte bronzers without glitters can do the job to slim your cheekbones. Blush is ideal for adding a lovely hint of pink to cheeks. It's much pinkish or reddish, and some blushes also have purple shades like mauve or berry. If you want to create a more colorful or cute look, you must get the blushes! What's my choice: Personally, I prefer the natural makeup style, so I'm more into bronzers, especiallyMILANI - MILANI Baked Bronzer! They are cruelty-free and of high quality but just about $12 for each on Amazon! The brush included is also easy to use and can blend the blushes well. They have three shimmer shades, but I'm afraid that some people may think that two of these colors are too reddish, so I deliberately took out two real blushes in the picture I've posted here for comparison to prove that they are not red enough to blush. My favorite color is 09, which is also the most famous one, recommended by Kathleen Lights. I have a pale skin tone, so these bronzers are the ideal colors for me to create a natural tanning look. This color is also lighter and not that shimmering. It is suitable for beginners to use as you won't be afraid to create a dramatic look with this! Bronzers or contours? What's your choice? Drop your words below xx!

Glowy skin HACK!!
Most of y’all must know this trick for getting glowing base but for those of you who doesn’t know should definitely try this out!! Mixing moisturizer with your foundation works as tinted moisturizer which gives you the healthiest glow while giving you a sheer coverage without making your base look cakey. This works perfectly for all skin types and especially the best if you’ve dry skin like mine. *plus* adding gel highlighter on top ( I used MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ) gives you the goddess glow😍

I used to always do the same look for work or hanging out with friends because I was really comfortable with it. Sound familiar? I’m the queen of hitting the pan on a beige shimmer eyeshadow time & time again, so during the beginning of quarantine I wanted to push myself to use all the colorful cosmetics I’ve bought impulsively over the years. In every photo I’m wearing CHANEL - Le Correcteur de Chanel Longwear Concealer in 10 & CHANEL - LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW Sheer Powder in shade: 20 Lol my container is beyond busted don’t hate... I purchased this in January 2019 & I still haven’t run out. I’ve repurchased the concealer 3 times now, it’s the first concealer I’ve ever found to match my skin flawlessly with shade & texture. *I haven’t been wearing makeup at all lately, but since I started using this concealer & powder on 1/15/19 instead of a full face of foundation, my skin got a lot clearer. 🎀SOFT PINK LOOK: I used a small amount of URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil shade: Woodstock towards the outer edge & diffused the color with the Gucci powder shadow GUCCI - Magnetic Color Shadow Mono in 090-Tourmaline My favorite curling mascara GIVENCHY - Phenomen’eyes Mascara in shade: 1-deep black—— my ultimate favorite is the dark brown shade I can’t seem to find anymore, but this formula is awesome! Holds my curl, adds length & always looks natural, not clumpy. Used it in every look🖤 I also used ARMANI beauty - Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer in 08 -my favorite buildable highlighter blush that I’ve used for years & still haven’t emptied. I used it in every look too💗 Finished withDIOR - Diorshow Brow Styler Ultra-Fine Precision Brow Pencil in 002- dark brown to add a little definition. 🐾KITTEN EYE WITH PINK MASCARA: I’m really not good at anything eyeliner related so I was proud of this haha... FirstToo Faced - Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliner in black on a prepped eyelid (for me that’s just conceal & powder) Then I used the Givenchy mascara on the top lashes & hot pink mascara on the bottom lashesDIOR - Addict It-Lash Volumizing Mascara shade: 872 No brow filling for this look, just added the ESTĒE LAUDER - Pure Color Love Cooling Highlighter in 002- Sultry Shine over the Armani liquid highlighter & one of my favorite glosses DIOR - Lip Glow Oil shade: 001 pink 💨420 LOOK: Wanted to have some fun with this look since I was just gonna hang at home alone... I used a really old TooFaced eyeshadow😬a duo called Fantasy Island🏝 On the outer third of my eyelid I used ARMANI beauty - Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow in shade: 8- Flannel, this color is really unique & the camera doesn’t do it justice. It’s a gorgeous smokey metallic mauve. I finished with same gloss, mascara & brow tool.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
