Fight Acne with Retinoids and Retinol to GLOW ✨
🚨If you suffer from stubborn acne (like I have) you may want to consider adding OTC retinoids to your routine! 🔑Retinoids, a vitamin A derivative, are a key player in the skincare industry. Many studies have proven retinoids fight acne, promote collagen, reduce wrinkles and hyperpigmentation to give skin a healthy glow. The good news is now there are plenty of options for Rx strength one now available OTC! 💁🏻♀️I only mentioned products I’ve use and that work! Best OTC Rx Strength Adapalene 0.1% proactiv - Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment This former prescription-only retinoid works to unclog pores by slowing pore lining growth and reduces the skin’s sensitivity to inflammation! This is a great introductory retinoid if you’ve never used any before. ✨Prevents pimple formation ✨Speeds blemish healing time ✨Reduces inflammation and redness ✨Evens skin tone and texture ✨Anti-aging benefits Best OTC Retinol Serums Why do I like OTC retinoids better than retinol? Retinol actually takes much longer to work. In fact, because retinol must convert at the cellular level of the skin, it can take 6 months to a year before seeing results. Retinol can be 20x less effective than a Rx strength retinoids. Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Serum dermalogica - Retinol Acne Clearing Oil SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream ✨Gentle formulas - good for sensitive skin ✨Decrease fine lines over time ✨Serums contain other skin hydrating ingredients Myths True and False: ⚡️Retinoids thin your skin - FALSE They actually strengthen your skin by promoting collagen production. ⚡️Retinoids have drying side effects - TRUE and FALSE When you start using retinoids, skin may go through a process of Retinization, the adjustment period in which dryness, flaking and redness can occur. Symptoms subside in about 4 weeks and are almost eliminated my using a great moisturizer. ⚡️You should wait till your older to use retinoids - FALSE Retinoids and retinol are safe to use ages 12 and up! 💁🏻♀️Right now, I personally use Proactive adapalene 0.1% for acne fighting and anti-aging at the same time! I’ve Tried Murad Retinol Youth Renewal For A Week And Here’s What Happened
This is a best-seller this year but I've never used it before so I just bought a set (serum+cream+eye cream) and gave it a go. I've been using it for about a week as of now and here is my review. I have combination-oily skin. Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Serum It looks thick, but it actually absorbs very easily after application and doesn't feel greasy at all. It feels very moisturizing instead and smells nice. I've also been using retinol for a year already so I didn't find it irritating at all! I couldn't see any immediate anti-aging effect, but I could feel my face revitalized. The only downside is its bulky packaging which means it doesn't come cheap! 🙃 Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream The texture of this one feels a bit granular, so it's not very delicate and is relatively oily but it's still quite easy to apply. It feels a little oily on my face but not so much that my face shimmers. But I really dislike its smell. 😰 Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum This has a very thin texture and absorbs quickly. As an eye product with Retinol, I think it is worth a try. It does take a bit of time to see the effect of retinol on our skin, to me, the most important thing is to find the right product then use it consistently. 💪🏻💪🏻

🌟NEW✨ StriVectin Retinol Serum
☀️ this product is so new that I had to add it to Cherie myself! it’s a new vitamin C anti-aging serum from StriVectin which contains retinol. ✨ first impressions of StriVectin - Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum - color: it is a gorgeous orange color, that sort of glows through the dropper. I love the pictures I got of it - texture: watery serum, not gloopy and also not too runny 5/5 - scent: wow, this product smells good… Because it has fragrance. If you have sensitive skin this is probably not for you but it really does smell fresh and floral 3/5 - price: $72 for 1oz, which is normal for Strivectin products but more than i usually like to pay ✨ active ingredients - retinol: a weak form of retinoid that increases the speed of skin cell death and Rick Ross, making it very good for anti-aging - vitamin C: A powerful antioxidant that prevents the extra creation of melanin

Expensive=Effective⁉ For The 2 Retinol Serums, My Answer Is...
I have combo-oily skin. Anti-aging and reducing acne are two of my biggest focuses for skincare. After doing some research, Retinol is exactly what I am looking for! It can reach the inner skin layer to fight with acne and it is a powerful anti-aging ingredient. I first tried CeraVe - Skin Renewing Retinol Cream Serum Because it's famous for having great effects at an affordable price-$18.49 for 30ml. Sounds great right? However, I don't like how it feels on my face. It is very greasy, and it cases pilling on my face. At the same time, my acne did not get any better. Although it is not expensive, it is very disappointing. So I later bought CHANTECAILLE - Retinol Intense+. This is definitely more expensive-$140.00 for 50ml. But!!!! It works surprisingly well! My acnes got controlled soon. And I can see that my skin has changed not just on the surface, but deeper in the root. It is not that irritating as Cereva. It feels so amazing! I noticed that it also added niacinamide and plant extract into the product. But Retinol is different from hydrating serum, Retinol hurts! So you have to make sure you are doing the basic hydration correctly to protect your skin. After using Chantecaille for a couple of weeks, I can see the changes on my face. My acne scars got reduced, and the pimples got flatten. My face looks cleaner than it used to be. I used to put a lot of concealers and use think foundations. Now I can use lighter ones! I am so happy to see this change. Chantecaille makes my skin smooth, and it can help anti-aging. I can't tell you how much I like it!

Retinol Serum Review
This is the Inkey List Retinol Anti-Aging Serum. I got this from Sephora first for my mom who wanted to dive into retinol but didn’t want to splurge on an expensive brand. This product contains 1% retinol and squalane. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A and is a big ingredient that is frequently talked about when it comes to anti-aging or skin renewing products. It is supposed to help with the turnover rate of your skin and help quickly shed that old/dead skin away. I have tried a few products from this brand and I was curious to see if this product was good or not because it is pretty affordable at $9.99. My mom loved this product. She said it absorbed so easily into her skin and didn’t irritate her at all. She said it went on like a light moisturizer and she loved how her skin felt smoother as she continued to use it. She emptied her first bottle! So when I went to Sephora a couple of weeks ago, I picked this guy up for my mom and also for myself. I wanted to try and see if it is comparable to the DE retinol cream that I had been using. And I have to say…it definitely is quite similar. The consistency is a bit more thin than the DE A-Passioni retinol cream and feels more like a very light moisturizer or a thick serum. It left my face feeling very hydrated and I do feel like this could act as a moisturizer for me in the summer time when I do get even more oily. And I know that the results are too pre-mature since retinol takes a while to really notice the difference but I do feel like it did a great job preventing any textures that my skin is prone to. I do think I will have to keep using this but I definitely will be repurchasing this instead of the other one bc it is literally a fraction of the cost. 5/5 for me! And of course, from mi madre 😘 THE inkey LIST - Retinol Anti-Aging Serum
