Oily / Inner Dryness Skin Care Routine
Oily / Inner Dryness Skin Care Routine
I have always resented the fact that I have oily skin because it made me break out more often and left enlarged pores on my face. At the same time, I have inner dryness and if it’s not addressed, my face tends to produce more oil, which makes my skin concerns worse. However, over the years, I have come to terms with my skin and found a daily routine that works well for my skin type. Step 1 – CleanseProduct: Bioderma (Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire)I like to go through a double cleanse system every night and I always start with cleansing water to remove the oil and dirt off my face to prevent build up that will clog my pores and lead to breakouts. This water is my holy grail item because it is very gentle on the skin yet effective in removing makeup residue or sunscreen, which I would apply every day. It does not have any scent, which is ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Step 2 – Wash FaceProduct: Neutrogena (Deep Clean Facial Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin) Even though Bioderma’s cleansing water claims that it does not require wash-off, I still like to use a cleanser to get rid of any residue. This cleanser starts in a gel form, then lathers into a gentle foam when it touches water. I would have preferred it to be more foamy. However, it is just as effective in removing all the impurities and oil off my face, so I have no complaints. It has a citrusy scent, which I find quite pleasant, and my face feels very clean after using it without being stripped of moisture, so I quite enjoy this product. Step 3 – Soothing and Hydrating MistProduct: Avene (Eau Thermale Spring Water)I use this mist day and night, right after cleansing, to sooth my skin after the double cleanses and target my inner dryness. The mist spreads very evenly, covering every part of my face, and feel very refreshing and cooling, which wakes me right up in the morning. Step 4 – MoisturiserProduct: Clinique (Moisture Surge 72-hour auto-replenishing hydrator)Using an moisturizer is an essential last step of the skincare routine because it seals off the moisture we have applied beforehand and acts as a protective barrier for the skin. I chose this moisturizer because it is very light weight, in a gel texture, but hydrating enough to address my inner dryness, which prevents my face from over-producing oil. It also does not have any scent, so very safe for sensitive skin.

The antioxidant pore purifier by paulas choice is a popular products because of many reasons. I kindly received this from the brand and I was super excited as I often have congested pores due to my oily skin. When trying this product, I’ll admit I was hoping for a little bit more pore- clearing to happen, however I knew the saliclylic acid amount wasn’t too much and there is many great ingredients in this product so I still enjoyed it, especially because of its antioxidants also. After a little while of usage in the mornings, I slowly noticed I wasn’t getting as oily throughout the day and wondered why until I realized it was down to this. Now, I use this most mornings because it really helps me stay a little more matte. I’m guessing it’s because it is helping my pores clear out and produce less oil after all, even though the clearing out is not that noticeable. This product hasn’t made me break out or give me any irritation, and if somebody is looking for an everyday antioxidant serum that will help with keeping blackheads away/ slow down your oil production, then I would recommend this! It is also below $35 which is not a bad price, and there is no alcohol or nasty chemicals in this product! 4/5 stars! PAULA'S CHOICE - Antioxidant Pore Purifier

TIPS & TRICKS FOR OILY SKIN💙
TIPS & TRICKS FOR OILY SKIN💙
for those of you who have oily skin like myself, we all know what it’s like to constantly keep blotting sheets on you for touch ups and powdering constantly to ensure your skin remains matte and looking nice all day. Here are some simple tips and tricks to help your makeup last longer without looking heavy or cakey!👏🏽 TIPS make sure your skin is hydrated before starting! This is a key step to ensure your makeup not only glides over the skin smoothly but it also helps with the over production of oil ( the more matte and dry your skin, the more oil it will produce) i used the goodhabit - Water Jelly Dew Cream then go in with a gripping primer! I use the Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer which is damn good and a little goes a long way. I blend this out with my fingers and it works super well each time! Make sure to let it sit for a second after application before moving on to foundation for oily skin, use a satin/ matte finish foundation for your skin! I stick with either the L'ORÉAL - Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation which is a great choice for winters where your skin could be more dry so better to use a satin, or I use the COVER FX - Power Play Foundation which is a favourite of mine and always makes my skin look super nice oh and use a good coverage concealor as well and ALWAYS BLEND WITH A DAMP SPONGE! after your skin is blended, grab any loose translucent powder to set, I used #NIKKIA JOY COSMETICS - Velvet finishing powder[products]#[FiveStars] which is amazing for setting my oily skin and really making sure I look airbrushed without the cakey ness! Here is the rule with powder, apply it also with your damp sponge and roll it over the skin while pressing. This way it will set the skin and press in the powder kind of like baking without letting it sit on the skin and using just enough for the skin for your oily lids, make sure to always use a eye shadow primer, not a concealor. The reason is because concealors have some hydrating and oily bits in their formula so they glide over your skin and don’t dry it out. Apply that on oily lids will eventually ruin your Aleut makeup with all that build up. Primer I use is the URBAN DECAY - Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion which is pretty good! I have to admit it’s growing on me these simple tips are really great for oily skin friends or even those stubborn summer nights when the heat is unbearable for any skin types but for me this is an all yes round thing I have to take care of so I’ve been able to perfect it over time ☺️

For a better oily skin, you cannot miss these!

Summer is about to end but not my oily skin! I truly wish my oily face can go away with endless hot days and weather. For people with oily skin, it is always a long journey when figuring out the best way to control oil and keep it clean and clear. My way to survive the summer is these two simple products that work for me. The one thing I cannot agree more is that: less is more. We need to decide our own routine and products we are gonna use. What I am currently using is this La Roche-Posay DUO+. This little tube is so famous and I bet it is the best seller. It targets skin imperfections, which are spots and acne marks here, and like other La Roche-Posay products, it is also non-comedogenic. When I stay up too late, there will always be some new red zits, and what I do for the following days is just applying this all over my face like a moisturiser after the cleansing, morning and night, and nothing else. I have to say that I am so amazed by it: my face is brighter and the spots are reduced. Its fresh smell is so adorable and the texture is smooth yet light, which is so suitable for me. Recommend this to everyone! The Ordinary is another brand that holds a lot of great products. I checked the webpage of this product on its official website and the introduction just gives me an " I must have this" vibe. It is a serum, a little thick like all the other hyaluronic acid products, but totally breathable on face. The ingredients include copper peptides, amino acids and hyaluronic acid to help erase fine lines, fight inflammation, and control excess oil. These sound nice, but I doubt if it will work.  For a whole week, I apply nothing but this serum and a Clarins cooling gel I usually use in summer, and when I touch my T-zone before bed (I sometimes look at computers for hours after my night routine and it becomes super oily), there is nothing on except for these products I apply. My face is still very comfy the next morning. I don’t know how it works but it is effective! If you have heard this product but haven’t tried it yet, it is time now!

facial oil for excess oil????
facial oil for excess oil????
HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin This is the Herbivore Lapis Facial Oil. this product claims to soothe skin, reduce excess oil and help calm breakouts. this oil is pretty thin, but it takes a while to absorb, so i use it at night. the scent is pretty intense but after a while you get used to it. overall, i liked this oil but i don’t think i would ever purchase the full size. it hasn’t broken me out, but i don’t think it really cleared my breakouts, but it did soothe the skin and reduce excess oiliness. i recommend trying this product first before you buy it though, but if it works for you, it’s pretty worth it.

Affordable&Amazing! Game Changers for Oily Skin!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I have oily skin, and my skn is quite skin. Hydration and elementary anti-aging are my biggest requirement for choosing skincare products. After careful search, I come up with this unique combination. 🙊🙊🙊I hope this can be helpful to you as well! After using this combination for one night, I can see that my skin is less oily than it used to be. 1. The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% This formula includes a 1% concentration of pure Copper Peptides. It can effectively support a wide range of skin health functions like maintaining normal immune function, collagen synthesis, fibroblast production and anti-inflammatory responses. If you like retinol products better, you can use a retinol serum to replace this serum in the combination.  2. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Affordable moisturizing lotion! It formulates three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid. It moisturizes and helps restore the skin’s protective barrier. It can also improve the skin's ability to lock in hydration, changing the skin's capability in the long-run. 3. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream It is formulated with Glacial Glycoprotein and olive-derived Squalane. Squalane is known for its exceptional affinity to skin. It is a highly-refined moisturizing oil. So it can cause oily skin to get whiteheads and pimples. But when we use it with ceramide, this problem can be eased. I have used this combination for a few months. My skin has been stable and hydrated during this entire time. They are DEF high-quality products at affordable prices. I really recommend you to give it a try! You won't regret! If you have any other combination that you find awesome, let me know🌞🌞🌞
