Lip Treatment in disguise
Kopari’s Coconut Lip Glossy is a petroleum free lip treatment that doubles as a gloss. I think of it as a luxe tinted lip balm. While I love the original, the tinted shade in “Birthday Suit” is one of my favorites. I’ve used this product for a little over 2 years now. I have a tube of this lip glossy everywhere. There is one at work, one at home and one in my bag. I admire the high quality ingredients in this product that help heal and moisturize my lips. It’s formulated with squalane, shea butter and 100% coconut oil. This product makes my lips feel so smooth and hydrated. I love to throw Birthday Suit on when I have light makeup days because it’s easy to apply and I love the sheer tint that it gives my lips. I also really enjoy that it’s not sticky and that it’s super long wearing, I can feel it on my lips hours after applying it! With that being said, I definitely think it’s worth the price tag; especially considering that one tube lasts me at least five months with everyday use. I’d highly recommend this product to people on the go, who would like a flattering and hydrating lip treatment and who love a long wearing lip product.

Drugstore Lip Gloss that Blew me Away...
When I first heard about NYX - Butter Gloss I thought it was probably too good to be true. A good, non-sticky lipgloss with a bunch of colors and affordable? No way. But, I tried them out and was so pleasantly surprised. These perform well (last about 2 hours), the color selection is pretty decent (mostly nudes/pinks, but that’s what I always wear anyway), but most importantly, they are not at all sticky! The price of these depends on where you shop for them, but they’re usually around $3-4. I think this is well worth it for the price and I have recommended these to many. I even give them to clients when I do makeup so they can leave with the shade I put on them. These are an all around win and I give them 4/5 stars.
My Favorite Lip Glosses
Talking about lip gloss, sometimes I love using clear ones as a topper to make my lips look juicy and plump; if my lips are too dry, I also love using lip glosses with pigmentation alone to get a healthy look. And here are three of my favorite lip glosses. I want to start from a clear one, the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer from Fenty Beauty, named Fenty Glow. This is the first lip gloss Fenty Beauty launched and is a shimmering rose nude shade, which is suitable for all skin tones. What I love about this is that it has gold and silver shimmers inside, really beautiful under sunshine. It looks sticky but after applying, I feel it more like oil. It also comes with peach-vanilla scent and I really love sweet scent. FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer The second one can be used not only as a topper, but as a tinted gloss. It is called Bronze Temptation from Pat Mcgrath Labs, which is famous for its eyeshadow palettes and matte lipsticks. But after trying this gloss, I think it’s an underrated product. This is a golden peachy bronze shade, giving lips a three-dimensional luster. Comparing the $38 lipstick, this gloss only costs $28 and has more products, you can feel the packaging is quite heavy. The only thing I don’t like is that t’s a little sticky, so don’t wear it in a windy day or your hair will stick on lips. PAT McGRATH LABS - LUST Lip Gloss The last one is called Aragon from Nars. This one is the perfect everyday lip gloss for me, non-sticky, great pigmentation, instant smoothing and wonderful color. I have light skin with yellow undertone, so this red chestnut color will brighten my skin. Even though the shade is a little bit darker than the other two, but the luminous shine will make me look healthy even without makeup. NARS - NARS Lip Gloss Summer is coming, it’s time to try some new lip glosses and enjoy the sunshine.

This is the colourpop ultra glossy liquid lip in Dropout. This shade is stunning. It looks very dark in the tube but it comes out very sheer and sometimes patchy so you have to work with it but it pays off! The formula isn’t sticky and doesn’t leave a bad taste in your mouth. I love how many choices in colour there are on colourpop’s website, they’re so adorable and lovely to have on. COLOURPOP - Ultra Glossy Lip

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.4 DAYS AGO
