Liquid Foundations Vs Cushion Foundations
Product1: Armani Essence-in-foundation Cushion Price: AU$105 I have to admit that the packaging of this foundation is gorgeous. It is a very classic combination of red and black, a very modern-looking. It has SPF 23. Inside, there is a big mirror which is very comfortable. It comes with a little red sponge. There are only six shades available from this foundation. It starts from No.2, so this is an excellent option as a foundation for pale skin girls because No.2 is really pale. I don’t know why there is such a limited selection of shades. This foundation is quite moisturizing and glowy. The sponge is really comfortable. However, when you want to apply the foundation under your eye or around your nose, you still have to use your fingers or a tiny brush just to get in those areas. The coverage is like excellent medium coverage, and it is buildable. It instantly makes my face look really perfect and really fresh. It catches the light beautifully. I don’t use concealer when I use this foundation because the coverage is very decent. I love this foundation because it feels very lightweight on the skin. You don’t feel like you are wearing foundation, and your skin looks perfected and moisturized all day long. The only issue with this product, in my opinion, is the price. From my experience, I have to say that unfortunately, cushion foundations tend to run out a lot faster than a liquid foundation. Product2: Bobbie Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation Price: AU$93 This product’s packaging looks very luxurious. It has SPF 25. This product is a combination of serum and foundation, which means it can make your makeup looks more moisturized. Its applicator is like a pipette, and it is a little bit hard to get the foundation up into the pipette. The texture is not watery as other foundations but is still very lightweight. It has a light to medium coverage, and it is buildable as well. When you apply it on your face, it can give you a very natural look, and it is so easy to get in. This product has natural ingredients, so it smells nice. After using it, you can feel like your skin looks very healthy, and it will not be settled into any fine lines. It will give you a lovely radiant glow. Unfortunately, it is not a long-lasting foundation. However, it can easily last for 5 to 6 hours a day. To be honest, I prefer liquid foundations, because cushion foundations run out faster than liquid foundations. If I choose a liquid foundation, I might be able to use it for a year, but if I select cushion foundations, it might run out in 3 months.

Medium coverage make up!
BECCA - Pop Goes the Glow Champagne Pop Face & Eye Palette with the foundation it’s paired with, it works so well! I’ve found this palette works nicely on days where I don’t use foundation too. tarte - Face Tape Foundation it’s great in that it truly offers what is advertised- buildable medium coverage, but the color I bought doesn’t truly match my skin tone and overall color. I find I have a short amount of time during the year where it matches perfectly. An unexpected plus though- between summer and fall, I find if I apply it right, it can multi-task as an under eye concealer before my tan fades through fall and winter. tarte - Limited Edition Buff & Bronze Body Kabuki Brush I do use this baby on my outer cheeks to blend bronzer up into my hair and around my ears. It works really well with most foundations honestly! I’ve been finding that with one of my foundations it can have a small stamp effect- but 90% of the time it’s epic. This was used with my tarte - Park Ave Princess Waterproof Face & Body Bronzer which I’ve spoken to in the past! Check out my other make up posts that include this babe ☺️🤘🏼 bareMinerals - Multi-Tasking Concealer SPF 20 on days where I accidentally use too much spf/ moisturizer and I need to touch up my t-zone on hot days, keeping this in my purse has been fantastic to re-apply. FENTY BEAUTY - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter used this in the Ginger Binge/ Moscow Mule and the darker color worked beautifully as a blush. I also applied on my eyes over a darker matte light brown eyeshadow from my tarte - Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette and bam! My hazel eyes were electric-looking and truly popped. Unfortunately, the long-term ability wasn’t as long as I was hoping- there was a bit of creasing along my eyelid, but that’s to be expected when you don’t apply any eye primer! Let me know your thoughts below! Super open to finding the best eye primer for my big eye make up days/ nights ❤️

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation is....
I promised a review of The Ordinary Coverage Foundation and I always deliver 😂 As I mentioned in my previous review for the serum foundation, I love love loveeee The Ordinary. I love the transparency and the fact they truly do everything possible to crank out amazing skincare at prices we can afford! So when I saw they had foundation at $6.90, I immediately ordered one of each type. If you read my serum foundation review you know I recommend that one HIGHLY. Let’s talk about the coverage foundation. The Ordinary Coverage Foundation Shade 1.2P light w/pink undertones. This formula is thicker in consistency than the serum foundation but still not quite as thick as most others you can purchase. I would recommend using your fingers or a foundation brush to apply. I feel like as with the serum foundation, a beauty sponge would absorb too much product. I would call this medium coverage but it’s absolutely buildable. It does not feel super heavy on your face whatsoever. It leaves you with a slight glow even after apply powder. I loved this foundation for the first couple of hours after applying but it just could not hold up to my oily T-zone like the serum foundation did. It did not cake up it just seemed to melt off the sides of my nose. I think this foundation would work better on skin that’s more normal or dry. One thing I forgot to mention is both foundations have 21 colors which I believe is a decent shade range to start out with. I do like that there are quite a few shades I could have chosen from and it was relatively easy to choose my shades online which is something I’m normally very bad at. 😂 I definitely think these foundations are well worth the $ to try out! Give them a try! ❤️

Your Skin But Better In A Bottle!
Here’s a little background on my skin. She’s a high maintenance b*tch that likes to suck my bank account dry. Boujee on a budget it? 75% of the time for her that’s not the case. I hate her for it. I can’t stand that my skin looks so PERFECT when I applied Pat McGraths skin fetish foundation because this little bottle cost me $68 plus tax!😵 It looks so amazing that I bought two bottles: shade 5 a light neutral undertone for when I’m fair in the winter and shade 14 a medium neutral undertone when I’m the most sun kisssd in the summer. With these two bottles I’m also able to customize my shade when I’m in between shades during the year. Now to be honest I don’t wear makeup everyday. 90% of the time I’m bare faced. I usually put in makeup if I’m going somewhere special such as an event, on a date, feeling creative or when I need to remind myself that I’m still that b*tch. So I’m actually okay with spending a little more on a nice foundation because I know it’ll last me a long time and if it’s worth it. So the question is..is it worth it? For me YES! I bought her toward the end of summer 2019 and it has served me well through the changing NYC weather and my ever adjusting skin. Whether my skin was really dry or slightly oily the foundation sat on my skin perfectly throughout the day. It’s a nice medium coverage foundation that can be built up or sheered out depending on the look you’re going for. 1/2 to 3/4 or a pump is enough for me to get a sheer/light natural coverage where it looks like my skin just the imperfections have been discreetly masked. To get full glam coverage I can get away with one and a half pumps then not even a beauty mark in my face will peak through! In my profile picture was the first time I used the foundation and I really sheered it out because it was a hot summer day. That day I got a little oily in my t zone but the foundation lasted all day. I don’t really blot or powder because I like the dewy look on myself but also I don’t because I’m lazy and I forget and most of the time at the end of the day I genuinely don’t care haha! In my last picture that I added in this post was when I was feeling creative and really used a heavy hand to apply the foundation. In that post I DID NOT PHOTOSHOP OR BLUR MY SKIN!!!! All I did was adjust the lighting in light room and added a filter to make the three images to blend better. But I couldn’t believe how airbrushed my face came out. The proof is in the pudding. I think it shows how far you can go with this foundation.
PAT McGRATH LABS-Sublime Perfection Foundation
Favorite foundation for glowing skin
Product claims: A foundation with buildable coverage for a finish that enhances the look of skin, without masking the natural complexion. Skin type: Normal, dry, combination and oily Coverage: medium with natural finish My experience: you can probably tell by my picture that I’m pretty happy with this foundation lol. I have mentioned this before that I’m just not a big fan of full coverage foundations because they feel too heavy and I don’t like to cover up my skin entirely. This foundation does exactly what it claims! The formula is buildable but still offers that sheer glow, definitely enhances my natural skin and doesn’t settle in my pores. I love that it has turmeric in it because as an Indian I have grown up using turmeric in a lot of DIY beauty hacks lol 😂 the only thing that bothers me a lot is that it doesn’t come with a pump! It’s not a cheap foundation and also it’s 2020! Customers shouldn’t be required to purchase the pump separately in this age and that’s why I took off one star from my review. Do I recommend this? Yes definitely, I can see this foundation working well for all the skin types Price: $47 for 1oz. and the pump is additional $6 which is totally ridiculous

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
