Holy Grail for Redness
Wow! Where has this been all my life? I suffer from redness and rosacea and have always looked for a product like this Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 I usually have to wear full coverage foundation but when I put this on it faded from the green to my exact skin color and has a better finish than foundation, letting me skip foundation completely. A product that color corrects, calms my redness, replaces my foundation or can be a primer AND includes sunscreen, yes please! Note: after a few days use I learned that you don’t want to use anything that sits on the skin that has a silicone feel like The Ordinary’s Azaleic acid or some silicone primers before applying this . It still works but tends to pill with makeup 😀

Easy (five minute!) makeup for ZOOM Meetings
Doing my makeup and feeling put-together is one of my favorite things, however I don’t always have the time or energy to be able to achieve a full-face beat every day. Soft and gentle glam, I use this look when I want to feel ~soft~ and glowy, but only spend minimal time on it. I start with NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer which I use all over my face, spot concealing redness of pimples, around my nose and lips, tip of my nose, and between my eyebrows. This brightens and evens your skin tone without a full face of foundation. You can use primer if you want, when I do I use a blurring primer like TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer or beautyblender - Pore Minimizing Primer which smooth skin and even look good just on their own. I set with BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder and then move on to my eyes. I use one eyeshadow palette with a few colors, two of my favorites are NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette and EM COSMETICS - Limited Edition Divine Skies Eyeshadow Palette which have both mattes and shimmers. Important: they don’t patch! This makes blending a breeze. I put a neutral brown in my crease and outer V, then layer a dark brown in my outer v and smudge on my lower lash line. Adding shimmer is optional, but I usually do. For this I just use my finger and swipe on the lid. All powders for my face bronzer, blush, & highlight applied with one fluffy brush. I apply blush by pinching the powder brush in my fingers to elongate it to place product where I want— my fav is PATRICK TA - Monochrome Moment Velvet Blush which applies smoothly on all skin (prepped or not). I layer with benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer in a 3 shape, and finish with whatever glowing highlight i feel like. In this image it’s OFRA - Nikkietutorials Everglow Highlighter Brow filling is optional, but brushing them up with a gel helps you look awake and youthful with little effort. Finish with mascara and a tinted lip balm or moisturizing lipstick like Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick or EM COSMETICS - EM Cosmetics Lip Cushion and you’re ready to go in less than ten!

5 Steps for Soft and Natural Everyday Makeup 💋
Most days I prefer to go light on makeup if I’m just going out to run a few errands, or doing something casual with friends and family. I have a few key products that I use to help elevate my natural features, ones that I think are the most essential to help us feel more put together. Below are a few of my go to products when I want a fast, easy, and natural makeup look for everyday. You can substitute any of the specific products I mention for your own, these are just what I prefer! 1. BROWS BROWS BROWS Anytime I have nicely groomed and defined brows I immediately feel more confident. There’s something about a nicely fluffed brow that just makes me happy. Not only that, I find that it helps frame the face and adds a bit more definition to the eye area. My current favorite brow routine uses only two products: The Anastasia Brow Wiz and the Anastasia Brow Gel. The Brow Wiz has a very precise pencil tip that helps with shaping my brows and filling them in with small defined strokes, and the gel helps with adding even more definition and shape while making sure they stay put all day. 2. Conceal and Powder Concealer is the most important step to this routine. I focus my concealer application to the center of my face - think under the eyes, around the nose, and chin area. This is where I have the most redness so I focus here and then follow up with some powder. We’re not using a foundation in this routine, but for me the concealer is enough to help even out the skin tone and blend in with the rest of our bare skin, giving a seamless natural look. I’ve been using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and powder for years now, and they never fail me. 3. Rosy Cheeks I find that blush is a very important step after adding all that concealer and powder, which tends to flatten the face a bit. Blush will give your face a fresh look and help in defining facial structure. I don’t focus the product on the apples of my cheeks, I prefer to take it up on my cheekbones and then blend it to the apples just a bit, this defines my cheekbones more than if I only applied to the apples. Currently I’ve been loving the Wet n Wild Color Icon blush. 4. Bronzer This doesn’t serve the purpose you might expect in this particular routine. When I’m in a hurry out the door I don’t bother bronzing my face, but what I will do is put a bit of bronzer in the crease of my eyelids. It’s a quick and easy step that will define the eye and give it a bronzy look. I use the Benefit Hula Bronzer. 5. Maaaaascaraaaaa This speaks for itself. Without mascara my eyes just look incomplete lol. I’ve been loving the Buxom Lash Mascara, it gives my lashes ample volume and length, and opens up my eyes. Bonus (6.): Throw on some lip balm! 💋 I hope you’ve enjoyed taking a look at my quick and simple natural everyday makeup routine. Comment below on what your go-to everyday makeup products are, I’d love to know!

Makeup Routine for Sensitive Skin
I have sensitive normal-dry skin (depending on the time of year) and always look for products that are lightweight, hydrating, soothing, and that cover redness. With sensitive skin, you want to be careful when selecting and applying your makeup; your skin is likely very easily agitated and if you’re like me, you’re often dealing with redness. I struggle with redness on my cheeks, around my nose, and on my chin. For the most part, I try to avoid any products (especially face makeup) that is super heavily fragranced, because I can pretty much guarantee it’ll make my redness worse and/or cause a breakout. Here are some of the products that work for me and my sensitive skin and help to give me an even, glowy, but natural look! 1. COVER FX - Water Cloud Primer - this primer is very hydrating and soothing, it also helps to protect against blue light and pollution. I like to start with a hydrating primer, especially in the cold weather months, because my skin tends to be drier and I want my makeup to look smooth and even. If you find that your makeup clings to dry patches, make sure you are exfoliating 1-2 times weekly and adding moisture back into your skin with your skincare! 2. Quo - Quo Liquid Foundation (shade C3 Vanilla) - this foundation has a satin finish and always gives me a healthy glow (if you are oily you may need to set with powder but should still be able to wear this). I only use maybe 5-6 drops for my whole face because I like to still be able to see my actual skin. 3. HALEYS - Re:Cover Pressed Powder Foundation (shade 2.15 in the winter and 2.25 in the summer) - I am obsessed with this powder foundation; it melts into my skin and is so natural looking. It doesn’t make me look cakey or powdery and is so easy and quick to use. Typically I either wear this alone or I’ll use a bit of it over my liquid foundation in my t-zone to set it. 4. tarte - Shape Tape Concealer (shade Fair) - this is a holy grail in the beauty world for good reason, it has amazing coverage (can be drying). I apply a dot of this near the corner of my eye and another one near the outer corner, if my redness is really bad, I’ll also use a bit of this around my nose and on my chin. 5. ILIA - NightLite Bronzer Powder (shade Novelty) - I use a bronzer year round to warm up my skin & give a glow. This one is super pigmented so be careful! 6. essence - Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara (shade 02 Browny Brows) - I loooove this stuff, it’s so quick and easy and holds up really well throughout the day. Also it’s like $3!! 7..HONEST - Extreme Length Mascara + Lash Primer - this stuff is amazing! It has a primer on one end and really does give amazing length. 8.DIOR - Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss - gives my lips the best glossy look! It’s iconic for a reason😉 #CheriePartner

My key makeup step for rosacea 🥵
Hi friends ❤️ today I’m getting real and raw with you and sharing a hard fact of my life: rosacea. Rosacea is a genetic skin effect where your skin appears red, usually as a reaction to something in your body or an environmental aggressor. Rosacea is different than other irritants as it can cause multiple types of acne and can leave permanent redness and eye dryness. Traditionally, rosacea only affects those with fair or light skin tones, and only in patches on your face, chest, and back. A calming, hydrating routine can help rosacea. However, some studies show that probiotics can help rosacea too! There are many probiotic skincare products to aid in rosacea, like those offered from Biossance and Paula’s Choice. However, there are so few makeup products that provide probiotics! One of them is: CLINIQUE - Redness Solutions Makeup Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Clinique offers SO many skincare products. One of their amazing lines is specifically for fair and light skinned pals with rosacea. It includes a proprietary blend of probiotics (not much info about this mixture anywhere) as well as SPF! This formula helps heal your current rosacea flares as well as any acne formed by your rosacea. There is virtually no smell, and it blends out to a medium coverage, evening out your skin tone well, my shade is “calming alabaster.” It has helped me come so far with my rosacea and you only need a tiny bit to over your whole face. I am still using a sample I got from ULTA back in January. A full size bottle is $31 for 1oz. I am rating this 4/5 stars because it is only offered in fair and light shades (since rosacea only traditionally affects these skin types) and because it is not cruelty free. What are your saviors for your rosacea? #CheriePartner

Makeup Routine for Enlarged Pores & Scaring
Addressing my skin concerns with my makeup is simple with the right products. I have combination skin so my pores are larger in my T-zone, but I also have dryness around my nose. Typically, I aim to address the appearance of my pores when doing my makeup. I always will use the correct foundation to cover up my hyperpigmentation and redness. When doing my makeup, I like to start with a primer to set base for the next product. This helps with a smooth transition for the foundation. I use Touch in Sol No Porblem primer if I am looking to smooth out my skin and texture. This primer is amazing at minimizing the appearance of my pores and fine lines. I apply a small amount to my fingers and focus most of the product in my t-zone. You will instantly see a difference, it is almost like a filter on your face. I will warn oily skin types this primer contains silicone which can be clogging for your pores, so I would recommend sticking to a water based primer such as the Milk Makeup Hydrogrip primer which is Silicone and oil free. When applying foundation, to solve my redness concern I will use a full coverage foundation such as Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation. You only need one pump for your whole face. It will cover your redness and scaring with a little amount. I will use a beauty blender to apply so it's evenly dispersed. This foundation leaves your skin with a natural beautiful finish. This foundation also lasts all day long leaving your skin flawless and smooth for hours. Sometimes my redness will peak through with certain foundations but with this one it does not. If you have dry skin, look for a hydrating primer or foundation with ingredients such as Hyaluronic acid or vitamin E. Vitamin E is also great for scars and uneven tones. For sensitive skin types look for ingredients in your products such as aloe or green tea extract. I love the combination of these two products together to target my larger pores and scars. They layer on top of each other so well and help me achieve the flawless base I look for, while helping with my skincare goals.
