My Winter Body Care Holy Grail
Hi 👋 Cherie 🍒 is spotlighting love body care this week, so I thought I would share my favourite body butter that is a staple on my Christmas list every year! THE BODY SHOP - Coconut Body Butter I absolutely love this body butter. I’ve been using it every winter since I was a teenager. The smell is so delicious you almost want to eat it. It feels very pampering and luxurious to apply after your shower. And is the perfect cure for winter dry skin. It’s a thick body butter consistency, but applies and absorbs easily. $21 for 200mls it’s a staple in my cupboard. Additionally, you can feel good about the Body Shop’s product since they are 100% vegan, against animal testing, and use community trade coconut oil. For a bonus I’ve been using THE BODY SHOP - Coconut Oil Hand Cream Dry hands are always a concern in the winter, but this winter especially with all the extra hand washing and hand sanitizer.

Body Care: Bye-Bye Hyperpigmentation 🌼
With winter around the corner and fall being so unpredictable, I love to tackle body issues I would worry about during the summer. One of them is definitely hyperpigmentation. WOC tend to have discoloration and other dark spots on their bodies more often (it’s normal). My knees, leg scars, and booty have always been a target of mines. So I purchased this: #Ancient Cosmetics - Even Skin Healthy Glow Body Oil[products]#[FiveStars] & #Ancient Cosmetics - Even Skin Hyperpigmentation Body Butter[products]#[FiveStars] These two products are amazing! Ingredients: Tumeric Essential Oil: I love Tumeric benefits. It has powerful anti inflammatory properties, high in antioxidants, also great skin “lightening” abilities. I love Tumeric powder and in this product it’s amazing. Lemmon Essential Oil: great skin lightening properties. Lemon is also high in antioxidants. Shea Butter: one of my favorite moisturizing ingredient great for stretch marks and dry skin. I swear by this product. Coconut Oil: I do not use this on my face, but on my body and hair, coconut oil is amazing. Very fatty and easily absorbed it’s a staple for skin moisture. My experience: I got this about 2 months ago. They do have expiration dates so you have to use it. This also lets me know this product is natural. They both have a lemony smell and absorb very quickly. The texture was amazing for the body butter. It was light and airy but dissolved quickly. The oil was heavy but not too heavy. I used this after my shower for 30 days straight and saw a great improvements (especially my legs). The oil is $18.99 💰 The cream is $19.99 💰 BUT you can get coupons for signing up and they have sales. I paid a total of $25 after my coupons and sale deals.
Winter Hydration Saviors! Affordable Body Care
With winter fast approaching, those of us with dry skin can begin getting weary of the cold and harsh weather that wreaks havoc on our dermis with chapping, burning, flaking...it’s not fun, you get it. Because of my super delicate body skin, I like to layer hydration which can not only get costly but sometimes feel slimy. Enter, Flamingo body products! First up is theflamingo - Light Hydrating Spray which I’m in love with. It’s a mix between something like evian and a lotion, that sprays on skin with ease. I rub it in after like a spray sunscreen and my skin already feels hydrated and ready for the day. I could stop here as the hydration lasts until the next day (even sleeping through it!). It does have fragrance, but it doesn’t irritate my dermatitis and eczema prone skin. A little goes a long way, but i’m interested in seeing how long this will last using almost every day. But, at ten dollars it’s definitely worth it! My next favorite is the flamingo - flamingo Deep Nourishing Cream which is a creamy pudding texture. A little goes a long way, and it doesn’t smell like much. I like to layer it on top of the damp mist on areas that are super dry, like my legs, elbows/knees, and upper arms. It keeps them soft and hydrated throughout the day with squalane and shea, but doesn’t leave me sticky or slimy, just soft and smooth. You get quite a lot in the tub, and I use a quarter size for each leg. With clean skin brightening and hydrating ingredients, this is a 10$ steal! Last but not least is flamingo - flamingo Daily Moisturizing Lotion which is perfect for using alone or on top of the mist for warmer days where you still want hydration. It has the same scent as the mist, earthy and floral with hints of base notes, and lightly hydrates with squalane to last the day while not being overwhelming in warmer climates and melting off. I love the lack of stickiness. Bonus, with this product you don’t need a perfume as it smells lovely on. Only 8$, it’s really worth it to try. I love that these products are all gently brightening with papaya extract (one of my fav brightening ingredients!) but balance it nicely with the mix of hydrating squalane oil. These products don’t make me itch or breakout which is a huge deal for me, as my skin is super sensitive. I look forward to continuing to use them throughout the winter for soft and smooth skin! It reminds me of Nécessaire - The Body Collection (sans the scrub and body wash, maybe flamingo will make those next!) but more affordable for a wider range of budgets. They also come in a bundle, all of these products for just 25$! Available at target too 😍 as well as online Thank you @cheriefor supplying, these products are gorgeous and I will be using them for the foreseeable future. Do you think you’ll try them out?

How I pamper my body
Kicking off a #selfcaresunday with some of my favorite body care products 🛀 I am working on my “fake bake” and love this watermelon scented lotion by ST.TROPEZ - Gradual Tan Watermelon Infusion Everyday Moisture Miracle Body Lotion The scent is amazing and I always get a flawless tan! My new discovery that has changed the shaving game for me is this razor by flamingo - Razor (Found it at Target) I get the closest most comfortable shave with this razor, and it makes shaving quick and easy! I always have a body scrub, my favorites are by BROOKLYN BOTANY - Watermelon Body Scrub Always use this to buff my skin before applying my self tanners. Add a good body wash FARMACY - BEE CLEAN like this one from Farmacy. Gentle, soft cleanse Follow up with an oil m. greengrass - Beach Air Dry Oil Spray and a good lotion SOL de Janeiro - Bum Bum Carnaval Celebration Set And you’ll have the most soft, subtle, glowing skin this summer ☀️ Hope today finds you well. Many blessings ❤️ #CherieCreator
New Body Lotion from Dr. Jart+ !!
Dr. Jart+ recently released a ceramide-rich body lotion affectionately dubbed “Ceramidin” and I was so excited to be able to try it. I have super dry body skin that often becomes itchy and ashy, so I had high expectations. This product has five different ceramides, five different forms of hyaluronic acid, and plenty of great plant extracts like turmeric root extract and cocoa seed extract. (And can we talk about how aesthetically pleasing the packaging is!) It claims to absorb into the skin immediately without leaving behind a greasy feel. All of this, AND moisturizing very dry skin?! I gave it a 5-day trial run to see if it would live up to its claims! FIRST IMPRESSIONS The texture is certainly unique. It’s a watery cream that is completely fragrance-free. While I love heavily scented body lotions, the fact that it’s unscented didn’t bother me and my perfume got a chance to shine. Before testing it, my legs were extremely dry and itchy (I skipped my regular body care routine for a few days prior, giving this lotion a real test) and the lotion did sink right in! Impressive, especially since I’m used to using thick creams to combat my dryness. RESULTS After nightly use for 5 days, I notice that my legs are still quite itchy. This lotion did moisturize, just not enough to eliminate the itchiness caused by the dryness. I let my mother try it, and it was just right for her. She has dry skin, just not extremely dry. It’s a solid lotion, and I’m very happy with the ingredient list. Because it’s full of ceramides, it may take more than 5 days to reveal its true effects. I’m going to continue using it and observe if my skin adjusts better to the hydration! OVERALL RATING : 6/10 This product has very great qualities and ingredients and will be perfect for those with normal to dry skin. For my very dry skin, it didn’t quite measure up. As a hand lotion, however, I think it’s perfect! The non-greasy texture is great if you don’t like the feeling of any lotion on your hands like me. The fact that it’s unscented is a bonus when used as a hand lotion since it won’t aggravate your facial skin or allergies. It felt pretty great under clothing- none of that stickiness that comes with heavier creams- and was like nothing was on my skin. It truly is one of the least-greasy body lotions I’ve ever tried!
