90s Makeup Trend: Blue Eyes and Nude Lips
So, we’re all back in the 90s as far as fashion trends are concerned. Thankfully, we’re keeping this decade’s eyebrows! I decided to try out two 90s inspired makeup looks with different shades of blue from the MORPHE - The James Charles Palette . My light look was created using the shade “Hello” all over the lid and crease, and running a bit of “Playgroung” on my lower lash line, and onto the outer half of my upper lash line. This added a little definition and brightness to the pale blue base. The light shimmery blue all over the eye and crease felt super retro and fun! ❄️🧚🏻👗 My dark look was created using the shade "Brother" all over the lid and blended into the crease, and "A capella" tapped onto the centre of the eyelid. This rich, dark version of the 90s blue eyeshadow trend felt much more modern and striking. 🧵🌊🌏 These looks are great for brown eyes - as you can see - but there are really no rules! You could achieve a toned down version of this look by lining your eyes with blue shades and adding lashings of mascara! Or pairing a navy blue or turquoise waterline with a bronze or copper upper lid! Don't be afraid of the blue! 2020 is the time to realise your colourful makeup dreams. Complexion Details 👸🏻 If you were interested in my complexion products, I used the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in the shade 1C0 Shell, the REVOLUTION - Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer in the shade C1, the Revlon Sculpt + Highlight Contour Kit in Light/Medium, and a touch of Juvia's PLACE - The Saharan Blush Palette shade Yara to warm up the apples of my cheeks slightly. Lip Details 💄💋 I did a DIY lip colour to get the 90s nude look. I put some L.A. Girl - L.A. Girl Luxury Creme Lipstick in the shade Teddy around the edges of my lips, and patted some Covergirl Colorliscious Lipstick in the shade 230 in the centre (I think this line is discontinued!) Skin Details: I have fairly dry and fairly sensitive skin. I am very fair, too. I live in Brisbane, so the weather is getting more humid by the day, and is generally very sunny.

MERMAID MAKEUP 🧜🏼♀️ #CheriePartner
A few years back I was a mermaid for Halloween. I decided to recreate the look as it is still on trend today. This look can be perfect for a Halloween party— even if you do not have the costume, people will still know what you are. I made this tutorial simple so anyone can recreate the look. How to: •Take any fishnet pattern you can find and place it over your head. •Plan out what color mermaid you want to recreate. Choose 2-3 colors. I chose a light pink, a medium purple, and a deep blue from MORPHE - Morphe X Maddie Ziegler The Imagination Palette and laura lee - Party Animal Pressed Pigment Palette . Take your light shade and “bronze" the face as you normally would. Take your medium and deep shades and “contour" the face as you normally would. (optional: I added some of these colors on my jaw and on my collarbone) •Next, take off the fishnet and work on your eyes. I used the same colors; putting the lightest shade in the crease, the medium shade to add depth to the crease, and the deep shade in the outer corner. I used COVER FX - Shimmer Veil on my lid and stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in the center of my lid for a glittery pop. Next, I added NYX - White Liquid Liner . I think the white eyeliner makes it more costume -y and that was what I was going for. •I then covered the “scales” in glitter with COVER FX - Shimmer Veil , stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow and a glitter from the craft store. Adding the glitter really makes the look come together. I recommend to dab the first two products on a little bit then go in with your finger tips and blend the rest of the glitter out. The glitter will become a little tacky and that's ok because it helps the craft store glitter adhere to it better. I applied the last glitter with a stippling brush. •For the lips, I used COLOURPOP - Ultra metallic lip and it created an iridescent look that I feel like a mermaid would have. •I added some pearls from the craft store with lash glue. This created different mediums and i like the contrast it created with the glitter. •Lastly, I curled my lashes and put on ARDELL - Cluster Wispies Demi Wispies to really pull the look together. Here is my first time recreating the look where I went for a blue/pink mermaid: https://pin.it/68Z5NMS For reference I have light medium skin tone. My skin in pretty sensitive and these products did not irritate me. #CheriePartner

Super simple bedazzled eye makeup 🤩
I... 😳 didn’t think I’d like this look as much as I do! I think we’ve seen a rise of editorial makeup worn as everyday makeup since Euphoria aired and I’m 100% here for it. I’ve seen all my friends on Instagram experiment with cool colored liners, rhinestones and glitter and I am, as always, late to the party but guess what? I’ve arrived 😌 I got some rhinestones at a beauty supply and got down to business, I had no idea what I wanted to do, I just started placing the stones on my eyes (yes, on the hood of my hooded eyes 😜) using my trusted Sugarpill - Duo Eyelash Adhesive to stick them on and this is what came out! It’s such a cute, simple look in my opinion. I actually would wear this to go out, specially since wearing a mask pretty much hides the rest of your makeup, I feel a statement eye like this works great. I decided to keep the rest of my makeup pretty light, I thought it looked kinda model-esque and I love 😍 for complexion I used this winner trio: e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer + DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer + UNDONE BEAUTY - LIP TO CHEEK 3-IN-1 CREAM PALETTE And my favorite lip duo: COLOURPOP - Crème Lux Lipstick in 21 questions and KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS High Gloss in Krystal. So, how did I do? Would you wear a rhinestone eye look out? 😌✨ #CherieCreator #CheriePartner

👄 80s meet rococo!!!
I wanted to look like my inspo pic, but I feel like I came out looking like Marie Antoinette instead. Still, 80s and 90s makeup look like they’re trending on Instagram. And I love the deep nudes from the 90s- but I couldn’t resist playing with 80s color! In the 80s, bright fuschia as contour was all the rage. Here’s how I recreated that look. 🥀 TUTORIAL 🥀 Blend fuschia/reddish shadow almost all over your lid. Ideally, use the same color as your blush. Use a lighter hand near your brow bone. You can apply highlight to your inner corner, too. Do regular contour. Use your favorite brown contour, and make it SHARP. Don’t worry about blending it yet. Connect your blush to your shadow with contour. Not as hard as I thought it would be! Pack a crease brush with brown shadow, and draw it out from your outer eyelid toward your temple- like if you were doing a giant cat eye. Apply sharp blush to your cheeks and temples. The temples are really important!! Without them, the shadow and contour will look detached. I recommend another ‘skinny’ blush brush for application. Pat it on first so you don’t overblend it - you want to keep it at a sharp angle. Only blend the edges with a tiny brush. Use a shadow crease blush to blur the outlines~ Without moving anything out of place. Do black eyeliner. Wing or no wing, that’s personal preference. I opted for no wing so the blush could be the focus. Final / optional - Apply colored mascara! I used a blue to make the whole look pop! 🕺 PRODUCTS 🕺 Sugarpill - Feline Fancy Makeup Collection I used every shade in this palette. Shades Kiss and S.W.A.K were my shadow + contour. Wink was my inner corner highlight. Text Me was “wing” to the temple. This palette will not let you down on pigment. Then again, Sugarpill never does. Beware that the red can stain a little- but it is vegan and eye safe! MAYBELLINE - Snapscara Washable Mascara in Deja Blue. I love the curled brush of this thing. And just 2 coats of it gives your eyes a Pow. It doesn’t smudge on my eyes, and lasts a long time! NYX - Slim Lip Pencil A pigmented, comfortable lip liner. I applied it all over my lips. Only con is that it transfers, but I still enjoy it . What’s your favorite makeup decade ?
