Is it worth it? Vitamin C edition🍊
🍊What are the claims? •Sunday Riley C.E.O Vitamin C Serum - a high potent, fast absorbing serum infused with 15% vitamin C to fight the look of dullness, darkness, & increasing brightness, radiate & luminosity. For all skin types & tones. $85 for 1oz. •E.L.F Beauty Shield Vitamin C serum - a fast absorbing, vitamin C pollution prevention serum. It has vitamin C, E & pomegranate extract to help fight darkness & skin stress. For all skin types. $16 for .93oz. •Murad Rapid Age spot serum - a fast acting spot lightening treatment that is formulated to help fade the look of dark spots, age spots & sun spots. $60 for 1.2oz. 🍊Texture/Consistency? •C.E.O - is a lightweight cream consistency •Elf - is a lightweight oil •Murad Rapid age spot serum - a thick gel 🍊My thoughts? I really enjoyed all of them! But I defiantly prefer the Murad & elf duo! You can get both for the price of the one Sunday Riley product. Plus I think the elf & murad Duo brightens & actually works better in my opinion! I wasn’t too impressed by the ceo glow, it wasn’t my cup of tea! It worked for a vitamin C serum but it is way too expensive in my opinion & I wouldn’t purchase the full size! However, I love the elf & Murad since I can use more of whichever or less of whichever. I use the elf all over my face day or night depending on my mood & my skin. I think it really hydrated my skin & brightened it. My sensitive skin wasn’t irritated by this product & I will defiantly repurchase! The Murad spot treatment is worth it too! I suffer from acne scars & this stuff has been a lifesaver! It helps lighten my scars in a couple of days where I really notice a big difference! And it doesn’t irritate my skin either which is great. Will you try any of these products out? Babe you before?! Let me know! SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum e.l.f. - Beauty Shield Vitamin C Pollution Prevention Serum Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum

Battle of the Hydration Serums: Hyaluronic Acid
Me: Combination Skin, Eczema, Hormonal Acne, Very Sensitive. I had dehydrated, super oily skin for the longest time. I started using a hydrating serum (Drunk Elephant B-Hydra) and by giving my skin the hydration it desperately needed, I saw my sebum production reduce drastically. Over the years, I’ve used different HA-packed serums and want to share my experience. In the photo, they’re organized from thickest (Drunk Elephant) to thinnest (NIOD), but I’ll be ranking them from least to most favourite. 5. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is a fave of many budget ($6.80/30mL) routines. It is a goopy, odorless serum that’s not quite a liquid or a gel. It utilizes sodium hyaluronate and sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer as well as a couple other hydrating ingredients. Very basic. I used it twice a day. After applying, my skin felt hydrated- and tacky! It took a bit to dry down and made my moisturizer pill. But it did hydrate my skin nicely and didn’t irritate so it’s “okay”. I won’t purchase again. 4. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum is a good budget ($7.99/30mL) HA serum. It is a thin liquid serum that soaks in quickly. It not only includes sodium hyaluronate and actual hyaluronic acid, but other humectants and a couple peptides as well. It hydrated my skin and didn’t cause any pilling issues- plus I noticed some plumping after a couple weeks of twice-daily use. I would purchase this again if I was looking for a budget HA serum! 3. NIOD - Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex is cool, but pricy at $60/30mL. the thinnest liquid of the group, it soaks in nearly instantly. The INCI list is stacked, including 15 forms of hyaluronic acid and HA precursors, plus peptides, for hydration, soothing, and anti-aging benefits. It soothed redness and made my skin feel so soft and hydrated, very plump, after twice daily use for a couple weeks. But the results aren’t worth the price since I use a separate peptide serum. I won’t repurchase. 2. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum is a bouncy gel with sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, and niacinamide, it costs $48 for 50mL. It soaks in slowly but completely. Twice daily use for only a couple weeks transformed my skin- hydrated and less oily! It also includes pineapple ceramide and plant extracts. I enjoy this serum and can’t recommend it enough to oily/combo folks. I repurchase often as it’s so nice to layer with other serums without any pilling. 1. PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster is my favourite HA serum. Sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, 3 ceramides, and many other humectants beef up this INCI list. This serum has helped me so much with my eczema and any redness, making my skin plump, soft, more even, and wonderfully hydrated. It’s a “creamy” gel that I happily apply twice daily, with zero pilling. I’ll repurchase forever, even at $36/15mL.

My TOP Ingredients for Hydration and Glow!✨
Hi everyone- it’s been awhile! Between moving houses and the Holiday season, I’ve been super busy. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been trying out some new products for you all! Over the last month I’ve found some new staples from an amazing New Zealand brand called Antipodes that really take my natural glow to the next level. The first things that caught my eye were the scientific and ethical claims, completely vegan and scientifically backed bioactive ingredients— this means whatever ingredients they include has a claim that is scientifically and clinically tested by independent labs. Antipodes is also committed to repurposing, reusing and recycling. This includes using recyclable boxes made from 100% biodegradable cardboard from sustainable forests as well as glass bottles, aluminum tubes, and printing with 100% eco ink from vegetables. Totally amazing! And no guilt from purchasing. They have various skincare lines based on different ingredients. I was looking for hydrators and glow, so I picked the manuka honey line. I love honey, it’s one of my favorite things to use in skincare so it was an easy choice. ANTIPODES - Aura Manuka Honey Mask utilizes sustainably wild‐sourced manuka honey from New Zealand which locks moisture into the skin, while helping to keep skin super fresh and blemish‐free because It’s antibacterial, which means acne causing bacteria can’t grow as easily on skin. The second key ingredient is Pohutukawa, which is extracted from a New Zealand native tree (don’t worry, they sustainably grow and harvest!) that conditions and deeply moisturizes. These essential minerals are easily absorbed into the skin because of the mud’s fine texture. It can support the stimulation of skin regeneration and help to powerfully detox and transform the texture of your skin. It smells like oranges and vanilla with a touch of honey and leaves you soft, smooth, HYDRATED, and glowing. At 32$, a little goes a long way. It’s not priced as expensive as other masks though it could be with all the amazing ingredients. Another winner for amazing glow and hydration is ANTIPODES - Manuka Honey Eye Cream 30ml which is the best eye cream I’ve used. No irritation or milia no matter how much I apply, and it doesn’t sting eyes. Manuka honey hydrates while kiwi and grape seed extracts brighten even the darkest bags and veins. This smells like oats and honey, and is super luxurious feeling. I need half a pea for both eyes, morning and night. Though eye cream sometimes feels like a chore, I really enjoy using this one. Though it’s 46$, I can see it will last me for a very long time. Do you have a go-to ingredient you’ve always used? i’ve always used honey, even as a kid making oat and honey face masks. I love finding products that elevate my skincare experience while keeping true to what I believe!

Dry skin vs Dehydrated skin ✨ Dry skin is a skin type. Typically it does not change, though it can come and go with seasonal changes, ie you can experience more dry skin in winter, and more normal-normal/dry skin in summer. Moisturizers can really help make your skin less dry, but it may not be a longterm effect, so if you stop using that moisturizer, for example, your just gonna go back to dry skin. If your skin is getting unusually drier than it normally is, odds are you need a better moisturizer, something with more occlusive ingredients in them, to hold moisture in the skin better and prevent trans-epidermal water loss and some emollients to heal dry, chapped or irritated skin. Occlusive ingredients include plant waxes, shea butter, cocoa butter, some fatty acids, cetyl alcohol. Emollients include plant oils, ceramide, squalane, Vitamin E, fatty acids. These two moisturizers by @jouviance and @vivierskin are good examples of moisturizers with both types of ingredients. @jouviance Hydractiv moisturizer with the Vitamin E and caprylic triglycerides (emollients) and lecithin (occlusive) and @vivierskin Lexxel moisturizer with the squalane, grain wax and vitamin E (emollients) and shea butter (occlusive). Byroe Bell Pepper Serum
🍅 Byroe Bell Pepper Serum (I know this emoji is a tomato but there is no pepper emoji) 🍅 What is it? An antioxidant rich, skin soothing, and hydrating serum. 🍅Call Outs: Free Of: Alcohol, Parabens, Sulfates, Silicones, Mineral Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Pthalates, and Triclosane Cruelty Free 🍎Who’s it for? Anyone looking for a serum (because this one does just about everything), anyone looking for glow, hydration, or soothing. 🍎What’s in it? So much! The more I’ve been looking into this brands ingredients the more impressed I am. The brands philosophy is to nourish the skin like you nourish the body. All their products are jam packed with extracts of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and protein which are rich in antioxidants and nourish the skin. Some of the ingredients of note in this particular product are antioxidant and photochemical rich bell pepper extract, brightening and skin protecting abscorbic acid (the strongest form of vitamin c), barrier replenishing ceramides, and soothing centella asciatica as well as a plethora of other fruit and vegetable extracts. 🍎My thoughts? I really enjoy this serum. I was afraid this serum would smell like bell peppers (the absolute worst food) but it doesn’t at all it has a very light, vague, fresh scent. It is intensely hydrating and has the consistency of almost a very lightweight oil. I prefer this for nighttime because it is a little too rich for me during the daytime but when I use it at night I woke up with the softest glowiest skin. I also swear it makes my skin feel more plump. I don’t know if this is just a delusion born out of my recent visit to the doctor where I was told I have no cheeks but I swear it makes my skin feel springier and gives it more bounce.

OMG！🌟Best couple for acne
These two are the best couple of products for my acne-prone skin! I have been fighting acne since I was 16 and nothing has been able to clear my face totally. Until last month my dermatologist recommended SkinCeuticals serum and Differin Gel to me. After using them a few days a week for one month, it is very helpful for helping reduce breakouts and calm redness-prone skin. These two products really had made a difference and also seem to have clarifying qualities to it. Phyto Corrective Gel is a hydrating, soothing gel serum with botanical ingredients ideal for calming and hydrating skin. The key ingredient contains hyaluronic acid, cucumber, thyme, which help to soothe and calm skin. I think it does exactly what it claims. It calms the skin, reduces redness, is moisturizing and calming. I have been using it for more than a month, consistent night and day use is the key and not putting too much on because a little goes a long way. Best discoloration product ever! Differin Adapalene Gel, this is a great acne treatment. Prescription-strength retinoid provides the fastest results—you'll start to see changes in about a month. So it took only a fast 3~4 weeks until my skin was completely cleared, and I've never been more confident in my skin ever! I like that it absorbs easily when applied and does not irritate my skin. Since using the product regularly, I have seen a significant difference in my acne breakouts, and my skin is more even-toned. It is also smoother & softer.
