A Method That Can Rescue ANY Dehydrated SkinType
A Method That Can Rescue ANY Dehydrated SkinType
As promised in my first post I’m here to talk to you guys again about the KOREAN 7 - SKIN METHOD. ( In Korean skin means toner) A little Refresher: A Hydrating Toner is water + a humectant. A toner is highly effective because they are thin and absorb at a fast rate, which means you can layer this product comfortably, without fear of it being to heavy. I layered my toner using the 7 skin Method. Now when doing this method you want to make sure your using a non- irritating toner or essence (if an essence make sure it is lightweight and not to heavy). This method is all about finding a hydration level that is comfortable for you skin type because 7 layers might be comfortable to me but not for the next person. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO APPLY ALL 7 LAYERS!! AGAIN DO WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU!! It is recommended that you start off with three and increase your layers to 7 ONLY IF YOU WANT TO!! This is a method that is meant to be done in a consecutive order... 1.Cleanse 2.Tone layer 1, layer 2, layer 3,layer and so forth 3.Continue with the rest of your routine When applying make sure that you allow a drying time between applications!! I am going to leave a link below on how to get the most out of the 7 skin method by avoiding certian mistakes: https://theklog.co/7-skin-method-biggest-mistakes/amp/ If this method is to much (as in layering consecutively) you can follow The Golden Rx method a LICENSED ESTHETICIAN: https://youtu.be/b8nKTHwufZc 1.Cleanse 2.Tone 3.Exfoliate 4. Tone 5. Mask 6.Tone 7.serums 8.Tone 9.Moisturize and Oil ** This method allows for spaces/breaks from toning in between so you can apply different products but your still achieving that good level of hydration for your skin** Now your probably wondering why do I need so much toner or (hydrating toner)?? Well to simply put it—WATER!! “Water is a transport system” according to the GoldenRx. This means water will make your skin permeable allowing all your other products to penetrate effortlessly, effectively and efficiently! While getting in a good amount of hydration, especially if your skin is dehydrated!! I’ve been trying this method out for about a week now and my oiliness has decreased drastically (I also use niacinamide and have been for a while, it’s made a difference too) but adding a hydrating toner has been a game changer. I literally throughout the day don’t have to blot my face with a blotting sheet or napkin as much any more, and you know if you don’t have to do those things throughout your day you are doing something right! When layering I use 4 layers of hydrating toner and if I’m feeling up for it I will use 1-2 layers of an exfoliating toner. I hope this method helps you as much as it’s helped me so far (I’ll keep you posted) and if you want to read more about skin hydration and mositurization here is another link: https://www.cosmedica-skincare.com/blogs/news/hydration-vs-moisture-what-does-my-skin-need Remember Hydrated skin is Healthy and Happy Skin!

Witch Hazel 🙅🏻‍♀️ vs. Hydrating Toner 😍
Witch Hazel 🙅🏻‍♀️ vs. Hydrating Toner 😍
Let’s start with Witch Hazel.... I’m sure you hear and see all of the Esthetician’s you know say this but, if I could ban witch hazel from being sold as a skin care toner. I think I would 😂 it honestly does nothing positive for the skin and it is an astringent so it’s taking all of those natural oils off of your face that your skin NEEDS. This can in turn cause your skin to actually become more oily. Not a fan of this product at all. 😣 **When looking for toners you want to make sure they are hydrating for your skin and don’t contain harsh alcohols. Or you want to look for a toner with a specific acid in it and make sure it is medical grade ; for example a glycolic toner is wonderful. But those toners that are strictly alcohol? No no no, not good for the skin let alone for daily usage.** Now to our beautiful rose water hydrating toner!!! I LOVE this stuff. It contains glycerin and hyaluronic acid which are two very hydrating ingredients that will nourish your skin, give it that moisture and hydration it needs and prep it for your after products. That’s exactly what you want in a toner!! And you can find this one actually at Ulta or Target, how perfect is that? And it will not break the bank. Best budget friendly hydrating toner!
I picked up the First Aid Beauty Wild Oat Hydrating Toner about 2 months ago in a pinch. I had run out of all my hydrating toners at the time and needed a quick and inexpensive replacement to hold me over until I replenished my stock. Never did end up repurchasing my old toner. FAB claims this toner hydrates, relieves and soothes and I agree on all counts. If my skin is feeling irritated or sensitive I always reach for this and apply a few thin layers or until my skin audibly sighs with relief. The toner is a milky consistency, you see it’s viscous enough to form steady droplets but still very fluid. I love the consistency of this because it doesn’t disappear instantly and leave you wanting more. It takes a while to soak in so you’ve got to pat it in a bit but it leaves behind a moisturized, protected feeling finish that’s not sticky or heavy, just healthy. Strangely I LOVE how this toner smells. It’s unscented but it’s got the best unscented scent, I can only assume it’s the oat aspect coming through. I find it makes my user experience that much more enjoyable and you can find me, fave buried in my hands huffing this stuff on the nightly. I’m nearing the end of this bottle and ive gotta say, this is the most bang for your buck hydrating toner I’ve ever tried. At $22 and a 2 month duration with daily use, this is the toner I’d recommend to anyone and everyone. 5/5 ⭐️

I have had quite some time to try out these toners & everyone has their own opinion on them individually. Here’s my breakdown on each & which would be the best pic for your skin type! • @laneige_us cream skin toner & moisturizer: I have loved this toner since I first tried it last year! It has a light milky consistency, and does a pretty great job at hydrating. Retails for $33. Recommended for those who have Normal/Combination skin. LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer • @firstaidbeauty Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner: This has become my new found loved! Retailing for $22 this toner is a bit more hydrating and adds a soothing factor for those who suffer from irritated skin. Recommended for those who have dry/irritated skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner Have you tried either of these toners?! Which one is for you?!

Is your skin craaazy dry? Read my do’s and don’t
Is your skin craaazy dry? Read my do’s and don’t
I’ve got very dry skin in the colder months. I also live in a dry environment. I’ve put together some general do’s and donts that work for me when my skin is seriously dry. Now, please note that I enjoy 99% of the products I’m going to mention, but some I just have to reserve for using in warmer months when my skin is less dry. DO pay attention to what kind of first cleanse you use. I like FORMULA 10.0.6 - Bare Face Beauty Skin-Hydrating Cleansing Oil because it breaks down my makeup and leaves my skin feeling soft. DON’T use a first cleanse that dries your skin out like the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm (a little bit drying) DO look at ingredients lists and brand descriptions of cleansers. Opt for something with a gel or milky texture that either doesn’t lather are all, or barely lathers. I enjoy the bareMinerals - Pureness Gel Cleanser (but not if you’re sensitive to coconut). DON’T use a cleanser with harsh acids, such as salicylic acid in the TRULY - CBD Jelly Anti Acne Facial Cleanser , because they can dry out your skin even more. DO use a hydrating toner. I love the PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist Advanced Replenshing Toner because it contains hyaluronic acid and has a soothing, milky texture. DON’T use toners with astringent properties or essential oils like the MARIO BADESCU - Witch Hazel & Lavender Toner (I steaigjt is just don’t really like this even when my skin isn’t super dry). Toners with those ingredients can dry your skin out further. DO layer and mix serums (make sure you do some research first!). I enjoy the Wyldflower Labs - Sunshine Serum - Multitasking Day Repair Serum and LILY SADO - Green Tea + Vitamin C Super Serum . DO use some chemical exfoliants when experiencing a breakout, but be careful to use a concentrated spot application. I like the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator because it is effective and can be easily applied in an affected area. I use this 1-3x/wk in the PM. DON’T use harsh chemical exfoliants and don’t use them too frequently. The YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner is very strong. It can cause irritation, especially on dry areas, and if used to often has caused white heads. DO moisturize! I love the pixi - Rose Ceramide Cream when I have stubborn dry patches that won’t go away. I also like the unscented, soothing GOOD MOLECULES - Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer . DON’T use a moisturizer that’s not geared towards extra dry skin like the Clark's Botanicals - Jasmine Vital Cream While this is a nice moisturizer, its light gel texture is more suited for normal-oily skin, or dry skin in the summer.

I just bought this product like a week ago and I have to do a review on it because it’s just THAT good...I actually even have oily skin, usually combo in the winter time and I must say....I LOVE THIS toner for cold , dry, winter months when my skin can definitely use a little extra TLC. So here is my thoughts/opinion : LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Hydrating & Toning Duo is a re-hydrating comforting toner with Acacia Honey! It not only hydrates, but tones your skin as well. Moisturize and comfort your skin !! I got the box that actually has a full size (6.7 oz) and a smaller sample size (1.6 oz) bottle as well. This feel so good on your skin, I usually use this at night since I don’t have very dry skin but it has yet to make my skin even the least bit oily. It’s awesome. Also is a great price...I paid $33 (value at $38). Totally worth it. I highly recommend it. If you have used or use this please share your thoughts about it with me!! ✨
