Hyped Products: A Hit & A Miss
Hyped Skincare Products.. are they worth it or not? I 100% was influenced by everyone and their mom to get the balm dot coms, which was a regret for me. However, I am already a huge fan of Milk Makeup since they first launched so I was very excited to try this, and purchased instantly. 1. Milk Makeup Moisturizer I don't like seeing this one disliked but that is probably bc I also love almost everything Milk has put out. But for my skin, I find this to be my favorite thing to use in the evenings. It's made up of "Desert Milk" (melon, baobab, jojoba, & aloe vera) to provide deep, but lightweight hydration. Those 4 ingredients thrive in an arid environment. There is also fig milk to soften, soothe & refresh. Oat milk is going to help calm and comfort our skin, while Argan milk is going to help provide antioxidant protection. She's thic but I find she soaks right into my skin! 2. Glossier Balmdotcom These aren’t worth the hype IMO. I don’t find that they keep my lips hydrated at all, it’s more of a thick coat to put over my lips. The formula of Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin does not soak in to my lips well. If I had to pick one it would be the mint because they do tingle and feel refreshed.
Lightest yet hydrating moisturizer and so clean!
I wanted to talk about one of my favorite moisturizers in the whole world! My absolute go to is the @tatcha water cream💦 (at a later date we can discuss my whole obsession for @tatcha products) While currently I’m using a vitamin c moisturizer, anytime I need to feel more hydrated and don’t want to use my serum I just take a pearl size amount of this and it will cover my whole face. It is so soft and luxurious feeling and while it’s not super thick the second you put it on your skin you feel hydrated! It smells amazing, leaves no sticky residue and is paraben, sulfate, synthetic fragrance, and oil free! It clarifies and refines the skin for a poreless looking finish and feels like a dream ☁️ TATCHA - The Water Cream

Magic hydration! - Clinique Moisture Surge
CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator My Honest Review Summary: This was a life saver through my pregnancy, my skin was so dry and it was winter! This really hydrated my skin through the day and left my skin smooth on application. SMELLS so fresh! I wouldn’t say I would have this as a stand alone product as I like mix with serums at night, and goes really nice under make up in the day! Definitely does what it says- a moisture surge for your skin and very hydrating! Uses: AM & PM! Acts as an amazing primer. Also great texture to mix with oils/serums for extra night time moisture. Texture: Light weight. Creamy to touch, smooth and absorbent on skin. Recommended for: Dry and Combination/oily Skin (I had oily t-zone and dry patches- this did help balance the hydration) Will I add to my skin routine? Yes!!! A moisturiser that gave me hydration through the day and didn’t make me break out is a winner!.... ussually I avoid creamy moisturisers but this was very light weight and silky to apply! LOVE this texture!

Exfoliating Acids x DermDoctor
Exfoliating acids are an amazing addition to your skincare routine! They have multiple benefits including improving skin texture, tone, and uneven pigment. They also have anti-aging benefits and can minimize the appearance of wrinkles! Exfoliating acids should be used no more than 2x per week with leave on products. Face washes with acids can be used more often. Here’s my rules to the roads (there’s always exceptions, of course) and product picks: Glycolic acid: Most effective but can be irritating with sensitive skin or those who are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Salicylic acid: Best for oily, acne-prone skin NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum Lactic acid: Best for dry and combination skin. Exfoliates while hydrating, gentle on the skin, and my personal go-to! SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA Mandelic acid: Most gentle exfoliating acid. Best for sensitive skin and those prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA #cheriepartner

farmacy honey grail
Literally feels like straight up honey on your face, the FARMACY - Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil is so soothing and hydrating! Claims: — lightweight — smooth fine lines and wrinkles — ultimate hydration and glow Key Ingredients: — honey — sea buckthorn oil — flower oil blend (hibiscus, rosehip, evening primrose, crambe, sunflower) My Thoughts: — smells like honey, so sweet and so thick! — I use this mostly at night post moisturizer and pre sleeping mask. Usually 3-4 drops does the trick and it doesn’t take much to spread it easily! — If I only want a little bit, I just mix in a drop or two into my moisturizer. I’ve used this in the day time that way, and it doesn’t make me oily or greasy and gives my makeup a glow. — I’ve also used this on frizzy flyaway hair (we love a versatile product). — It’s one of the best oils on the market (I think) and for sure the most hydrating one. — It’s $48 for 1oz and lasts forever, like for actual forever!

Legit luxury but worth it? 🤔
You are all super familiar now of the brand Tatcha. It became really popular and you started seeing a ton of influencers touting their products. This brand was started by a Missouri-born Taiwanese American who holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She worked in large corporations for over 10 years and decided she wanted to start a skincare line with a more holistic approach using classical Japanese beauty secrets passed down by generations that took a different approach to skincare - that less is more. You’ll see some really unique ingredients in Tatcha’s products! So needless to say, I needed to try it! Here’s one of the products I’ve tried. TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream Claims: An anti-aging eye cream that melts to release a double shield of hydration with line-smoothing liquid silk and moisture-locking Japanese White Peony for youthful, radiant eyes. Cushiony balm designed for comfort around the delicate eye area melts upon application to release a powerful moisturizing elixir with liquid silk. Blurs the look of fine lines and wrinkles, helping skin resemble the soft, smooth, natural radiance of pure silk. Ideal for prepping the eye area before makeup application. Key ingredients 🌸 🌸Japanese White Peony Extract- helps strengthen the skin barrier function, providing a “seal” that enables the thinnest skin around the eye area to retain moisture for reduced dryness and sensitivity. 🌸Silk Extract- Includes the two proteins that comprise silk — sericin and fibroin — that together closely parallel the amino acid structure of human skin. This complete protein provides a protective veil of hydration like a second skin without weighing it down, revealing a lustrous glow. 🌸Hadasei-3 Complex- a signature trio of pure Japanese superfoods, double fermented to yield essential skin nutrients for visibly radiant, more youthful-looking eyes. My experience- I know a lot of us think eye creams are just unnecessary because you can use a regular moisturizer and it works the same. I agree with this with the exception of a few eye creams and this is one of them. After applying this lightly to my under eye area, the skin just looks better with a hint of brightness. As I’m aging, I notice the skin under my eyes getting saggier and most likely thinner and since I’ve been using this eye cream, alternating with one other, that is actually getting better. It’s looking brighter and my eye bags aren’t as bad. This cream really does seem to melt into silk on my skin and looks like it literally lifts that area. I’ll definitely continue using and provide some before and after pics to see how it goes with long term use but for now I really like it! This is expensive at $60.00 for .05 oz. so I wouldn’t really recommend this unless you are trying to combat aging. Otherwise I do think a less expensive cream or just a moisturizer is fine! 🌸🌸🌸
