This or that oil!
My skin type is overall very dry! And these oils are very different in comparison to how they help my skin! The first oil, the indie lee squalane oil has a very hydrating but a little bit to greasy texture, where the drunk elephant virgin marula oil is very moisturizing without the greasy feeling! The indie lee is for hydrating, and renewing! The drunk elephant is for nourishing and balancing! The indie lee oil is very hydrating and lightweight, but leaves a good amount of product on top of your skin that doesn’t soak in, so if that bothers you I wouldn’t purchase this one. But others then that it’s amazing! I would chose the drunk elephant one because it has amazing antioxidant properties, and helps so much for my dry skin, but isn’t greasy on the skin! But this is just because I have dry skin, both oils are amazing and you may find that the other works better do you!INDIE LEE - Squalane Facial Oil DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

BLACK CUMIN SEED OIL 🙌🏼
| The Body Shop - Oils of Life $55 (Marked down for $33 on their website!!) | What is it: Quick-absorbing oil infused with Black Cumin Seed, Camellia Seed, Rosehip Oil, and Community Trade organic olive oil. Claims: lightweight daily facial oil that replenishes moisture and radiance. Leaves your skin non-sticky (yes), velvety-soft (yes), and quick absorbing (yes). This was one of my FIRST facial oils that I have ever tried! It worked like a charm and looked forward to using it every morning and night. I bought this initially because I was super intrigued by the black cumin seed oil (which is SO good for your skin). It really did wonders to my skin and helped with my inflammation and re-hydrating a TON. The only reason I'm rating this a 4/5 is because it stopped working :( I guess my skin got used to it? and the benefits that I was initially seeing had kinda stopped. I would definitely still recommend this to other people though because it is such a great oil and I would've finished the bottle if it hadn't stopped working. There continues to be amazing reviews on this product and I can see why! THE BODY SHOP - Oils Of Life™ Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil

My Favorite Face Oils
I always steered clear of moisturizer because I had very oily skin. I would have never even thought to no less put oil on my face but here I am every morning and night slathering my face with oil. Sometimes we can over produce oil because our skin is dehydrated and some people are just pre disposed to being oily. One product that has helped me get my oil under control in NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% and I also started adding retinol to my nighttime skin care routine. I don't feel like my face is dry very often but I did start to feel like it needed something more than my moisturizer. So I started adding oils to the last step of my routines and I loved the results. My skin looked so healthy and bright. Oils can do more than hydrate they have other benefits!!! NATURIUM - Vitamin C Face Oil I use this oil in the morning because I already use a lot of active ingredients in the morning but I still want the even skin tone and brightening effects. NATURIUM - Virgin Marula Face Oil 100% I use this oil at end of my baby facial routine and if my skin is starting to feel a little dry, it's the most hydrating of all the oils listed. Marula oil can also smooth skin, sooth redness and strengthen the skin barrier. NATURIUM - Plant Squalane Face Oil 100% I use this oil all the time!!! I have used this oil in place of the oils listed above. Morning, night after treatments you name it it's good for it. This is good for people who are oily, acne prone or who have combination skin because our bodies produce Squalene with a E, Squalane with an A is a refined version of Squalene because apparently it's very unstable product-poor shelf life. Squalane doesn't feel heavy in my skin just gives me that added hydration. It also helps to protect against environmental aggressors such as UV rays and pollution. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil I love this product because it's a 2:1. Squalane with the added tea tree oil. I get the hydration and the acne fighter. Tea tree oil is knows to be an antibacterial so it helps fight skin imperfections. I typically use this at night. Last but not least Rose Hip seed oil, I bought this on off Amazon. What doesn't this oil do?? It brightens, firms, exfoliates, you can put it in your hair and even treats wrinkles. In my opinion its heavier than the Squalane oil but lighter than the Marula oil. This is my newest addition so I have been alternating this in the morning with the vitamin C oil. I have also bought a larger bottle and use it all over my body after the shower. I don't really like the smell but I typically shower at night so it fades by the morning. My skin definitely has a nice glow but I think I need some more time to see if it evens out my skin tone. What's your favorite face and body oils?!

My Favorite Daytime Facial Oil
🐉 I’m have combo skin leaning dry and I am always looking for a little extra glow so I am a HUGE HUGE fan of facial oils. Right now I’m using the Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil and it’s truly my favorite oil I’ve ever used. 🐉 I really love the effect the Maqui Berry in the Superberry Dream Mask so I wanted to try it out in an oil and this did not disappoint. 🐉 This oil contains maqui extract (most antioxidant rich fruit in the world NBD), omega rich acai extract, hydrating prickly pear extract, and antioxidant rich goji berry. It is choc full of antioxidant and humectants and my skin LOVES this stuff. 🐉 I would describe this as a medium weight oil and I love it for daytime, but if you’re a little more on the oily side you might prefer to use this at night. This makes my skin incredibly soft and glowy immediately after application and over time has made my skin noticeably brighter. I definitely recommend this oil especially if you enjoyed the Dream Mask!

Best nourishing oil!!!
Hello beauties 🌸 Hoping this Monday finds you ready for the new week! I cannot believe it’s March already! January went on forever and February flew right on by! Anyone else feel this way? . Have you ever received a sample size so small that you just want to roll your eyes because you think “no way can I formulate an opinion on such a small amount.” I’ve had several samples like this and while it’s too little of product to obviously know if it will work, usually I can determine if it is worth investing in the regular size. I know this by how my skin reacts. I had one sample cleanser that I knew within the first use it wasn’t good for my skin. If I have no reaction and the product is intriguing to me, then I will go ahead and invest in it. . That what I found with this beautiful oil from First Aid Beauty. This was actually the first oil I’ve ever used on my skin besides murula oil. I’ve been afraid to look “oily” using them. Boy was I mistaken. My skin looks so incredibly boosted when I add this oil. It’s like it goes from an 8 to a 10 in an instant! I knew I wanted this in my skincare routine within the first couple of uses. . _____ Let’s hear from the company This antioxidant-rich facial oil contains a blend of 16 cold-pressed active botanicals including Hemp Seed Oil, rich in omegas & fatty acids, and Colloidal Oatmeal. Together they help calm and soothe dry, distressed skin. This unique dry oil absorbs quickly and never leaves a greasy after-feel. $30 1oz ______ I use this almost every morning in my routine. The added glow it gives my skin is perfect for makeup days. In the evening, I use it on nights when I use my retinol for that extra layer of protection for my skin. So far I’ve only had one breakout since starting retinol and I know this has helped keep my skin calm and receptive to the treatment. This nourishing oil been apart of my routine for approximately 30 days and most likely will be a continued staple in my skincare. . Do you use oils? What’s your go to? And how do you implement them into your routine?

Good molecules face oil trio has my heart ❤️
Me being a dry skin gal I love anything that deeply moisturizes my face I notice it takes some texture away too when my face is very moisturized so I am very much loving this face oil set I bought from good molecules. I mean the ultra hydrating face oil is my favorite out of this bunch 10/10! The rest are very good for day time when I just feel like I need hydration and want my face to look like a dewy glazed donut, who doesn’t want that right?! 9/10 for the rosehip seed oil and the squalene oil too, very good oils but that ultra hydrating oil just saves my skin. I can’t wait to do this trio during the winter especially! Highly recommend you check out good molecules it’s cheap but very effective!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
