Products for Sensitive Skin
🍌 So I don’t have particularly sensitive skin but I definitely am prone to SENSITIZING my skin which I blame on my late stage chemical exfoliant and retinol addiction. I’ve had my share of contact dermatitis and these are some products I love when my skin is really reacting. 🍌 Glow Recipe Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream - a lightweight soothing moisturizer. The texture of this is really interesting...it kind of jiggles in the jar and reminds me of banana pudding before it sets. This moisturizer contains magnesium and banana which are both great for calming irritation. It has a very light banana scent and is a great daily moisturizer if you have sensitive skin or are using heavy actives. 🍌 REN Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm - a heavy balm for really dry or sensitive skin. If you’re oily you’ll hate this stuff. It has the texture of literal Vaseline. But if your skin is really dry or irritated this will calm it down. I use this when my skin is in a state of emergency and it always helps. This balm contains a plethora of soothing and moisturizing botanical oils...it does also contain essential oils and fragrance if that’s something you’re sensitive to. 🍌 Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream - this is a GREAT moisturizer for stressed out skin. This one is a little heavier than the Glow Recipe but not too rich. The star ingredient in this is Guaiazulene which is derived from chamomile and gives the cream it’s beautiful blue color. This also contains Centella Asciatica a great soothing ingredient for calming redness.

Face Creams I DO NOT Recommend for Combo Skin
I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. Let me introduce two facial creams that I tried recently but don't recommend using. 1) Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream I do not recommend this product, especially for people with oily skin! It has a greasy texture and doesn't get absorbed easily. No matter whether you follow it up with sunscreen, primer, or foundation, it tends to ball up, so it can only be used before bed. I still haven't even finished using it. 2) CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator I've used Clinique's Moisture Surge before and felt pretty good about it. Its gel texture doesn't ball up and it's very refreshing and moisturizing in summer. I bought its Moisture Surge Intense this time and the texture is very greasy in comparison. It doesn't absorb easily and will rub off onto the pillow when I sleep at night. I do not recommend this for oily or combination-oily skin, especially in summer. People with dry skin can give it a go.

Elf - Hello Hydration Face Cream
e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream I was extremely excited to purchase this product due to all the success I’ve had with Elf’s makeup line, but let me tell you, this product was not worth it whatsoever. Although the price point is very low, I do not recommend the Elf Hello Hydration Face Cream. When I first purchased this product, I slowly introduced it into my skincare routine ( As I do with any other products ) and it felt amazing! My skin felt hydrated and looked incredibly dewy and overall very healthy. After maybe a week, I noticed very small whiteheads on my chin and forehead. I was thinking it was due to my makeup, but after another couple days, my entire face was covered in whiteheads and peeling. I had never experienced anything like it and was confused on what could’ve been causing it. Then I realize that it was the face cream! I immediately stop using it and returned to my original face cream, and within a couple days the whiteheads were gone, and the peeling had stopped. I know of another person who had been in the exact same position and once she stopped using this product, her face cleared up. I dislike this product a lot and would not recommend to anyone. Not sure what cause the problem but I know it was really bad!

BEST facial creams for combo/dry skin type
First of all, my skin type is combo/dry, so here are what i have used and will repurchase once empty. Avène - Skin Recovery CreamAvène - Skin Recovery Cream Rich This is a moisturizing repair cream with very simple ingredients. There are two versions: one normal and one rich. I prefer the normal version because the rich one is very thick and heavy, which is probably more suitable for people with very dry skin to use in winter. It used to be packaged in an ordinary plastic tube, but it's been modified into a sterile vacuum tube packaging for the new version, making it more hygienic now. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Ultra Face Moisturizer for Sensitive SkinLA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Ultra Night Cream for Sensitive Skin The ingredients are simple and unscented. There are three versions of this product: The normal version, the fluid version, and the blue bottle Nuit (night) version. They are all pretty decent. It uses vacuum packaging but there's an issue: It's hard to squeeze out the last little bit of it that left in the bottle. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Skin Rescue Daily Face Cream Although this oil-free facial cream is more suitable for oily skin, it's almost summer, so I still tired it even though I have combination-dry skin. After using it, I feel that there's no issue for people with dry skin using it in summer as it is absorbed quickly and is not sticky on my face at all. It's also very moisturizing!

This SAVED my SKIN!
I am super late with making this lost and I am SO SORRY! 😩 But, we’re here now! So, it’s really a simple routine that I have noticed worked within 2 weeks of clearing my skin of those little forehead bumps and breakouts! Check it out ⬇️ • wash my face with “Our Earth’s Secrets” African Black soap from Ghana (you can find this on Amazon) • moisturize with CeraVe Moisturizing cream. VOILLLLAAAA ✨ That’s it!

Perfect Makeup Cream for Hydration
I like using this “Happy Hydration Cream” by e.l.f. Cosmetics. It helps moisturize your skin before you apply any makeup to your skin. I sometimes add this to my skincare regimen in the morning before I head to work for that extra boost of hydration. It does have CBD in its formula. It hasn’t given me any problems for the past month that I’ve been using it. It cost about $5 off of the e.l.f. Cosmetics website. It’s kind of small but all you really need is a quarter size for your entire face. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream
