Is it worth it? Moisturizer edition! 💦💧
💧What are the claims? •Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon - a recovery treatment gel that transforms skin overnight so you can glow during the day. For all skin types & formulated for dryness, dullness, uneven texture, & fine lines & wrinkles. •Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic cloud cream - a concentrated 30% Hyaluronic acid cream that transforms atmospheric vapor into fresh pure water providing skin with a burst of hydration for up to 72 hours. For all skin types, formulated for dryness, dullness & uneven texture. •First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream - a fast absorbing rich moisturizer that provides instant & long term hydration for dry sensitive skin. It’s for normal & sensitive skin & formulated for dryness, fine lines & redness. 💧Texture/Consistency? •Dermalogica - a lightweight gel -cream •PTR- a medium weight gel •FAB - a thick cream. 💧My thoughts? Is it worth it? In my opinion the Dermalogica sound sleep cocoon is not worth it! It is $88 & I found 2 moisturizer that work just as bomb! I personally love PTR over anything, it just works so great on my dry & sensitive skin. It really hydrates & it doesn’t clog my pores or make me too oily. The Dermalogica I felt made my skin way too oily & it want hydrating enough. My skin would still peel in the winter! It smells great though & it’s very relaxing to use but not worth the price tag! The FAB is bomb too, just maybe if your skin doesn’t clog easily! My skin was a bit too sensitive for this one but you can still get both these moisturizers for the price of the Dermalogica! You can get both the PTR & FAB for the same price as Dermalogica! 💧Price Vs. Size? •Dermalogica - $88 for 1.7! Not worth it for me. •PTR- $52 for 1.7, worth it for me! •FAB- $34 for 8 oz, very reasonable price. dermalogica - Sound Sleep Cocoon Night Gel-Cream PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration

Dry skin vs Dehydrated skin ✨ Dry skin is a skin type. Typically it does not change, though it can come and go with seasonal changes, ie you can experience more dry skin in winter, and more normal-normal/dry skin in summer. Moisturizers can really help make your skin less dry, but it may not be a longterm effect, so if you stop using that moisturizer, for example, your just gonna go back to dry skin. If your skin is getting unusually drier than it normally is, odds are you need a better moisturizer, something with more occlusive ingredients in them, to hold moisture in the skin better and prevent trans-epidermal water loss and some emollients to heal dry, chapped or irritated skin. Occlusive ingredients include plant waxes, shea butter, cocoa butter, some fatty acids, cetyl alcohol. Emollients include plant oils, ceramide, squalane, Vitamin E, fatty acids. These two moisturizers by @jouviance and @vivierskin are good examples of moisturizers with both types of ingredients. @jouviance Hydractiv moisturizer with the Vitamin E and caprylic triglycerides (emollients) and lecithin (occlusive) and @vivierskin Lexxel moisturizer with the squalane, grain wax and vitamin E (emollients) and shea butter (occlusive). Slugging Season! Dry skin dream ✨
How does it work? Why this would help dry skin? I have used Vaseline but lately CeraVe - Healing Ointment and I can’t get enough. I apply this as the last step in my skincare routine at night. I do it a few times a week. I recommend adding petroleum to your routine if you: 1. Have dry skin 2. Use actives or ingredients in your skincare that are drying (for me it’s retinol and vitamin c) 3. You need to heal your skin after a skin care treatment or after your feel you have over exfoliated your face Honestly, my skin feels so hydrated and glowy when I wake up. As we approach the colder months, I know I’ll be reaching for this more and more!
My skin care routine for dry skin
Hello this is my skincare routine :) So first I start of with my CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin It seems like a nice product but it hasn’t really done anything for my skin except give it pimples :/. The second thing I do is put on my The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 when I put it on my skin I can really see a difference in my skin..I suffer from dry skin and it really brightens up my skin definitely recommend :>. The third thing I do is put on my The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA which I do 3x a week It definitely brightens my skin and I would definitely buy again :). The fourth thing I put on is my CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin I loveeee this so much recommend for dry skin! The Last thing I put on my skin is The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane ....this product id say it was nice but I don’t really know..it did get rid of redness which I am thankful for buttt it makes me look like a glazed donut so like...😔. PS:Can anybody help me I have small whiteheads on my chin and I don’t know what to do with them I also have a little acne on me...please help ;-; T H A N K Y O U F O R R E A D I N G!

Is it worth it? Vitamin C edition🍊
🍊What are the claims? •Sunday Riley C.E.O Vitamin C Serum - a high potent, fast absorbing serum infused with 15% vitamin C to fight the look of dullness, darkness, & increasing brightness, radiate & luminosity. For all skin types & tones. $85 for 1oz. •E.L.F Beauty Shield Vitamin C serum - a fast absorbing, vitamin C pollution prevention serum. It has vitamin C, E & pomegranate extract to help fight darkness & skin stress. For all skin types. $16 for .93oz. •Murad Rapid Age spot serum - a fast acting spot lightening treatment that is formulated to help fade the look of dark spots, age spots & sun spots. $60 for 1.2oz. 🍊Texture/Consistency? •C.E.O - is a lightweight cream consistency •Elf - is a lightweight oil •Murad Rapid age spot serum - a thick gel 🍊My thoughts? I really enjoyed all of them! But I defiantly prefer the Murad & elf duo! You can get both for the price of the one Sunday Riley product. Plus I think the elf & murad Duo brightens & actually works better in my opinion! I wasn’t too impressed by the ceo glow, it wasn’t my cup of tea! It worked for a vitamin C serum but it is way too expensive in my opinion & I wouldn’t purchase the full size! However, I love the elf & Murad since I can use more of whichever or less of whichever. I use the elf all over my face day or night depending on my mood & my skin. I think it really hydrated my skin & brightened it. My sensitive skin wasn’t irritated by this product & I will defiantly repurchase! The Murad spot treatment is worth it too! I suffer from acne scars & this stuff has been a lifesaver! It helps lighten my scars in a couple of days where I really notice a big difference! And it doesn’t irritate my skin either which is great. Will you try any of these products out? Babe you before?!
