Learn these primer hacks that make your eye shadow as pigmented as it looks in the pan.
😌Eye Primer = No More Creasing
When I first started doing makeup, I didn’t see the point of eyeshadow primer. But as I kept doing eyeshadow, I realized my eyelids were oily! After a few hours, my eyeshadow would form a weird crease in my eyelid fold. So I finally gave eye primer a chance, and it changed the game. Right now, I used the Wet n Wild eye primer- which only costs $5.49. 🌺 PRODUCT REVIEW: WHO IS THIS PRIMER BEST FOR ? 🌺 wet n wild - Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer I’ve tried a lot of primers from Too Faced, Nyx, Smashbox and Urban Decay. Some are too thick and crease, while others are more pigmented to cover uneven eye tones. This Wet n Wild one stands out because: It’s so affordable It truly prevents eye creasing. It has a light tinted base (almost translucent), just the right amount to make eyeshadow pop more. This primer has a thin texture, making it comfortable on the eye. It dries in 20 seconds, so you have time to even it out. Honestly, it’s comparable to even some higher-end brands. 💄IN SUMMARY It’s for oily lids that need a brightening base. It’s not for people who want a primer that also acts like a concealer. 🌟 HOW TO APPLY IT 🌟 Do your foundation / base first. This helps if you want to even out your eye skin tone and cover under eye circles before eyeshadow. Put a pea-sized amount on your finger and apply to your eyelid. A thin layer will do for the WHOLE lid area. You can even take a little to the lower eye lid if you put shadow there. Using a finger helps this product melt in. (OPTIONAL) Apply a base eyeshadow color over primer. If you don’t like the whitish undertone to this primer, using a shadow that matches your skin tone will create a nice base for color- While still getting the anti- crease effect. FINALLY, apply your shadow like normal! 🌼 COMPARISON (PRIMER & NO PRIMER) 🌼 The eyeshadow on my primed eye is sliiightly more vibrant than the other one. But more importantly, it didn’t crease. The photo of my creased eye was taken 3 hours after application. I asked my sister if she saw a difference in my eyeshadow. I didn’t tell her which eye had primer, but she pointed at the primed eye and said it was more vibrant. Also notice the line on my eye crease. Indoors, it wasn’t creasing. But as soon as I stepped outside on a humid day, it started to break down. PS: WOW ring lights make a difference to noticing your makeup blend. Bonus pro tip from this post- use a ring light to see where you can blend more 😅 💐 What primers have you tried ? Are there any tricks you use to get the most of it ?

Good for oily skin——fenty beauty eye primer
FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Amplifying Eye Primer I learned about this eye primer through a YouTube video Created by Angie of “hot and flashy”. She has excellent makeup tips for people with mature or aging skin. Mature skin creates many challenges for the eye area, crepey skin, wrinkles and skin texture issues. This eye primer really helps with all of those challenges. So I bought it for my mom and she loves this product and highly recommends it. Then i tried it by myself and i love it too!! It does exactly what it’s name says, it Amplifys whatever you put on top of it. I use less eyeshadow because the primer makes everything Pop! As someone who has oily eye-lids, I had pretty much given up on finding something that would keep my eyeshadow in place. I have tried a small number of primers and never found them to be life changing, so I opt to use setting powders and sprays. It turns out I can throw those powders and sprays away, because this product does an AMAZING job all on it's own! I was skeptical, because I'm a skeptic about everything. But to add to my usual skepticism, the applicator seemed odd (because I'm used to tubes or twist-ups), and the texture seemed too light and thin to do anything. But after 11 hours of wear I can happily report I had no eyelid creases whatsoever! And I didn't use any powders or sprays on top. It's a weightless, color-boosting eyeshadow primer that smooths lids for better blending and longer, crease-proof wear. I REALLY Love this! It's the only eyeshadow primer that will keep my eyeshadow in place and crease free all day. It does take a little bit to work with. I usually put it on, and pat it with a finger, then let it set while I put on moisturizer. Then lightly powder lids with my face powder before putting on eyeshadow. Once you get the hang of working with it, it's quite amazing. I didn’t see any creases in my eyeshadow at the end of the day even though i have pretty oily eyelids and have a lot of trouble with creasing. It's extremely long wearing and keeps my shadow in place and crease proof for a long time. This primer is very tacky therefore grips tour eyeshadow and also makes it brighter and more long-lasting. I have extremely poly eyelids and nothing else works for me like this does. but beware and DO NOT get even the tiniest bit of this in your eyelashes it will totally mess up your mascara. So be extra careful Also be sure to give it a good minute to dry before going in with eyeshadow, or you'll have a tough time blending your eyeshadow. Now that I know how to work with it Other than than, good price and love the applicator as well!

Eye Primer YAY 😁or NAY 😩??
I love drawing my eyeliner on my waterline but without fail I always get panda 🐼 eyes within a few hours after application. The pic taken is my eye 👁 4hrs after application and my eyeliner has not smudge one bit. All thanks to this eye primer - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Eye Primer U only need a tiny dot as shown in my photo it can literally cover both eyes (trust me!). I have dry sensitive skin so I moisturise and wait for it to dry before applying this primer. Once I did my eye makeup and eyeliner I followed it up with a bit of setting power at the ends of my eye and my eye make up lasted the whole day with no panda 🐼 eyes in site. This is a 7ml water resistant eye primer has a light colour base so you do not need much product. I’ve applied too much before and my eyes were so white I looked like Jadis the white witch lol 😂. Do you have recommendations on how to stop panda 🐼 eyes - do share.... so far this has worked for me but I love to learn and try other products too!

A magic eye primer your eyes can’t live without!👀
MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer I heard about this primer from one of my favorite makeup gurus on YouTube. It does just what I need it to. This primer is pretty awesome. I have naturally oily eyelids and eyeshadow/liner will not stay without a primer. I have been using Urban Decay Primer in Minor Sin for a few years now, and I love that its one step with the tint and primer in one. However, this Milani is 1/2 the price and I can just throw some shadow on top of it for a little color. The Milani eye primer has amazing staying power. I can easily get a full day of wear out if it and it is easy to remove at the end of the day. I just wish it came in a shimmery-champagney color like the Urban Decay. It doesn’t cake or add texture like some previous primers I have tried. It goes on creamy and a tiny bit goes a long way. It doesn’t cover up veins or darkness but I can layer it over foundation without any problems. It dries quick, not too tacky so don’t I feel like I have to set it right away and it doesn’t crease unless I get too much- Easy fix to just wipe off the excess product. I find that with just concealer or foundation as my base my eyeshadow fades throughout the day so a primer is a must for me. My eyeshadow lasts all day just like it should, and colors are true to pigment. Overall I would definitely recommend giving this a try and you just can’t beat the price! Great product for those of us with oily lids. Highly recommend!

The magic of eye primer! Who hasn’t owned it yet?
Is there anyone who hasn't heard ofURBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion ? This eye primer is sort of the most famous product of the eye primer line. At previous visages at Urban Decay, it was known to be famous for its eyeshadow palate, with excellent saturation and powdery quality. When I was shopping in Urban Decay with the intention of purchasing the eyeshadow palate, the sales recommended me to buy one of these eye primer, but I didn't think it was special. Especially for lazy people like me, who don't even bother with eyeshadow most of the time, why take the extra step of giving it a base product to take more burden for myself? However, a behavior of sales afterwards made me activate intentions of purchasing this eye primer without hesitation. First, the sales applied this eye primer on her hand, then apply their eye shadow on it. On her other hand, she applied eye shadow straightly without eye primer based. The eye shadow after applying the primer shows very good quality in saturation, the color on my hand that can be displayed 100 percent of the original colors in the eye shadow palette, whereas eye primer eyeshadows that have not been applied are reduced in saturation. The sales also rubbed the eye shadow on both sides with her hands, but the eye shadow that had not been applied for eye primer faded away after a gentle brush. However, the eye shadow that had been applied for eye primer needed great strength to wipe off. It just blew me away. Therefore, I bought this primer without any hesitation. The new anti-aging series I bought has anti-aging effect, it also has good moisturizing effect, and owns the highest restoration degree of eye shadow color, which can make eye shadow show more pigment and prevent makeup from getting dizzy. It also doesn’t have any smell. The color is translucent after you blend it out on your eye lids, very easy to absorb. It also will not make eye shadow clumps, very recommended!

This is my secret weapon to get perfect eye makeup👀
Once I was choosing eye shadows in Sephora, the sales showed me theURBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion . I hadn’t used any eye primer before, and I thought that won’t make much difference in my eye makeup. But then, what the sales showed me let me buy the eye primer at once! She applied some eye primer on her arm and put some eyeshadow above it; then she put some eyeshadow on her arm without eye primer. The comparison between with and without eye primer was so obvious! The one with eye primer was much richer in color than the other one. Even more, after wiping both eyeshadow with a cotton pad, the one with eye primer was just lighter than before; and the one without eye primer was almost gone. So, of course, I bought the eye primer, and it is a game changer for my eye makeup. My skin is combination oily. Most eyeshadow can’t last very long on my eye lids, especially in summer. Usually, after three or four hours, my eyeshadow started to fade, and one can hardly tell what color I used for today. Even worse, sometimes, the color stuck into my crease. This is so embarrassed that there is a dark line in my crease. And things became much better after I use eye primer. The color is richer and it last longer, and most important, it won’t stuck in my crease! I am more interested in eye makeup because of the eye primer. I’ve also used the famousNARS - Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base, and I still prefer the Urban Decay eye primer. First of all, my eye lids are very sensitive; they feel itchy every time I use the Nars eye primer. I think the formula of Urban Decay eye primer is more suitable for sensitive skin. Second, I feel it to be difficult to blend Nars eye primer evenly on my eye lids. Even I try to massage it very carefully on my lids, there is still somewhere with the white cream. Therefore, the Urban Decay eye primer is my favorite. I would recommend people with oily or combination oily skin to try it!
