How to create a wavy hairstyle with Milkshake Incredible Milk styling product?
How to create a wavy hairstyle with Milkshake Incredible Milk styling product?
I am sure you will agree with me on this... When you have fine, straight hair, getting any sort of style/wave in your hair is really difficult!!  I spent years curling my hair just for it to drop out a few hours later, no matter how much hairspray I used. So, I was so glad when GHD bought out a range of styling tongs/wands.  I discovered the GHD Creative Wandghd - Curve Creative Curl Wand when working in my previous salon, and it is the best styling tool I have ever used!! It allows me to create volume and body in my hair, which I cannot normally achieve.  To create this beautiful wavy hair style, you must first shampoo and condition your hair. I always prepare my hair with milk shakē - Incredible MilkMilkshake Incredible Milk; this is my all-time favourite styling product.  It has 12 benefits including heat protection, adding body & volume, detangling, giving shine and making any style last longer.  Also, it smells AMAZING! (Like Vanilla Milkshake)!! Once the hair is prepared, rough dry until your hair is completely dry, you can then start adding the waves... I always start on the bottom section of my hair, taking sections that are about an inch wide. I then move onto the 2 sides, and lastly the top section at the back, wrapping the hair around the wand from root to ends. Generally, I hold the wand on the hair for around 5-7 seconds.  Top Tips: For smaller waves, take smaller sections. Keep the wand vertical, pointing down. Keep your sections rough for a more natural look. ALWAYS USE HEAT PROTECTOR! This style normally takes me around 10-20 minutes to create and will generally last in my hair for 2-3 days, it is also a very popular hairstyle amongst my clients. It is perfect for an everyday style that’s low maintenance.

Turn on the sound for the cool effects 🙃 • Found a new fun & easy way of getting wavy hair overnight! • Instructions: (DISCLAIMER): Hair should be 90% dry after a shower before doing this. Roll a t-shirt and secure with a hair tie. Put t-shirt onto your scalp and curl your hair around your shirt while clipping your hair down with bobby pins. Leave overnight to wake up with subtle waves! 🌸 •

How I get fast curls that last for days at home
How I get fast curls that last for days at home
Remington Style Inspirations Fast Curls and Syoss Keratin Hairspray Sometimes I’d love some curls, as curls could volumizing my thin hair. And not just any type of beach waves, but real curls. This is the reason why I got the Remington Style Inspiration Fast Curls. What attracted me first when I saw it in the shop, was the “fast” on the label. I mean, I wouldn’t have wanted to spend forever getting some curls for a night out. I also liked the idea of hair rollers, brought back sweet memories from when my mom and grandmother used them when I was little. Felt like the symbol of femininity back then for me. I use the rollers a few times per year, so not very often, but it is really fast. Before using them, I wash my hair and blow dry it for a few minutes. The hair doesn’t need to be perfect dry, but not wet either. I plug in the device as it takes about 10-15 minutes to get the rollers hot enough to curl the hair. Then I start applying them one by one (there are different sizes, I use the larger ones mostly). It takes a bit to put them on, maybe another 10 to 15 minutes depending on how fast you are. Then about 15-30 minutes I let them on while I get dressed or watch some TV. After I take them out, I put my fingers through my hair and arrange it properly before securing everything in place with Syoss Keratin hairspray (I like it a lot because it comes down easily just by brushing the hair and it makes the hair shine and smell great). All in all I think it takes me somewhere in between 30 to 40 minutes to get great looking curls for a dramatic appearance!

Finish Your Workout With Wavy Hair✨😍
Finish Your Workout With Wavy Hair✨😍
Something you may not know about me, because I’ve never shared about it here before, is that working out is a huge part of my lifestyle. I do some variation of exercise every single day, whether it is lifting heavy weights, HIIT cardio, hiking with my dog, etc. With that, I sweat a lot because I jump and run around a lot. My main concern is, surprisingly, usually my hair! It’s been bleached a couple of times and dyed many times over the past couple of years. So even if I have sweat, I may not wash my hair afterwards as it can dry out my hair and fade my hair dye color much quicker! So I’ve found a hairstyle that I LOVE for working out for no matter what intensity: a french braid. It keeps my hair out of my face without tugging at my hairline and causing breakage, and also leaves my hair super smooth and wavy when I take it out! I’ve tried pigtail braids but the size of the braid causes my hair to end up looking crimped instead of wavy. So I like a single french braid down the back of head! Let me know if you try this for your next workout!

Sephora Best & “Meh”: Hair Products
Sephora Best & “Meh”: Hair Products
About my hair: very thick, wavy/curly, & prone to dryness & frizziness Fave: IGK - Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray This is a recent addition to my collection and came in an Influenster box. It claims to detangle, fight frizz, prevent heat damage, & add shine. spray on damp hair post-wash, comb through, and wrap my hair for about 30 min in a cotton t-shirt. This stuff gives me the sleekest + shiniest blowout with NO additional products. I’ve never had one product do that. Most other blow dry sprays require me to also use a smoothing cream. I have used this as a leave-in for air drying or diffusing & it leaves my hair soft. Has a sweet “salon”-type scent, all hair types can use. This will be a repurchase. $27 Meh: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo This contains tapioca, charcoal, rice powder, witch hazel, & biotin. It’s a powder that is dispensed by turning the nozzle & gently squeezing the bottle. Cool concept because it’s more easily recyclable. While this does soak up excess oils & makes my hair look cleaner on day 3/4/5, I don’t like how heavy it feels and my hair feels...gross. Light rose/perfume scent, all hair types can use. Gifted by brand - wouldn’t repurchase. $24 Fave: Bumble and bumble. - Bb. Curl Reactivator This spray is designed to restore moisture definition for curly/wavy hair the next day & beyond. It contains avocado, jojoba, & coconut oils, and shea & cocoa butters. I’ve played around with this a few times (including dry hair), and found it works best for me when I dampen my hair about 15-20% with water, then spray liberally and scrunch lightly. It does add some moisture and revives my wave/curl pattern. It does leave me a bit frizzy, though. Has a “salon”-type scent. Will repurchase on sale. $28 Meh: OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This is a bond-restoring treatment to strengthen & improve hair appearance. I’ve only tried this once, but based on others’ reviews I expected to be blown away at 1st use. I applied the cream to damp, towel-dried, unwashed hair & waited about 12 min. My hair didn’t feel or look any different post-wash. Maybe my bar was set too high? Also, I would fly through this product because a full size is only 3.3oz. So far I’m not wowed but will try this again. Mine was a Sephora freebie & I will have to cut the tube open to get 2 uses. Light perfume scent, all hair types can use. $28 All brands are cruelty-free & products are safe for color-treated hair. Briogeo & Olaplex are part of the “clean at Sephora” program since they are sulfate and paraben-free. The Sephora VIB/holiday sale is coming up soon (I think 10/30?), so this would be a great time to try something new or restock on faves. #CheriePartner
