Whether the highlighter brush is tapered or fan-shaped, the ability to apply cream or powder is essential.

Real Techniques Everyday Essentials Brush Set
I went searching for the Real Techniques Blush Brush after seeing my friend @beautyblogbystef rave about it forever. While I couldn’t find the single brush by itself where I live, I did end up finding this Everyday Essentials kit and I couldn’t resist.
This is how I’ve been using them -
• RT 309 Deluxe Crease Brush - I’ve been using this to apply my @pixibeauty Correction Concentrate to brighten my under eye area, it works really well for cream products.
• RT 400 Blush Brush - I’ve been using this one to apply bronzer and I love it for that! It’s big and fluffy but not too dense so it only picks up just the right amount of product.
• RT 300 Expert Face Brush - I’ve been using this brush to apply my liquid foundations and cc creams and I love how soft it is, it blends everything out beautifully.
• RT 402 Setting Brush - This one I’ve been using to set my under eye area with my @fentybeauty setting powder and have also used it to apply highlight, it works great for both!
This set also came with a beauty sponge that I’ve used and loved before (it rivals the beauty blender for a fraction of the cost). These brushes are incredibly soft and feel way more expensive than they are. If you’re looking for some new makeup brushes I’d definitely recommend checking these out; I grabbed this at Walmart for about $25.

Favorite brushes for setting powder!
These are two of my favorite brushes for using setting powder, particularly around my eyes! Best part is that they’re both SUPER affordable.
The e.l.f. brush is actually their blush brush, but I find that the tapered shape is perfect for applying setting powder. It’s only $4 and available at Ulta, Target and CVS. I love it for setting both under my eyes and the rest of my face since it’s a larger size.
The Real Techniques setting brush is the perfect size for setting your under eyes and eyelids. It ranges from $4-$8 and can be found at some drugstores, Target and Ulta. It’s also a great highlighter brush.

$4 Highlighting Brush
Please do not waste tons of money on highlighting brushes. I know, that’s easier said then done. I’ve been using the Highlighting Brush from e.l.f cosmetics and it’s easily become my favorite. The size and shape are perfect ! It’s dense enough to hold product but it’s not stiff so when you apply your highlight it applies perfectly. I have so many other highlighting brushes but I’ve ONLY been using this one. Not to mention the quality of this brush is amazing, it does not shed at all. e.l.f. - e.l.f. Highlighting Brush

Favorite highlighter brush
It’s a simple highlighter brush but I have had it for years and love it!
Totally affordable and works pretty well.

NABLA COSMETICS WHITE ROSE EYE BRUSH SET € 46,00 (approx $52usd)
This brush set is part of the nabla holiday collection. It includes 10 synthetic eye brushes and bronze faux leather case. The brushes are travel sized with shorter handles and the set includes a liner brush, a large and a detailed smudger brush, a large and a precision smudger, a soft crease brush, buffer brush, small pencil brush, cut crease brush and a flat detailer brush. I've tried all of the brushes at least once and the only one that I don't care for is the liner brush. It's too flexible for my liking. I especially love the cut crease brush and the tiny little pencil brush. The brushes are well made and I suspect that they'll hold up well over time.

The collection also includes a fan brush and highlighter brush with a gold leaf pattern on the handles. They're €11,50 each or approximately $13 usd. The highlighter brush is the same shape as the one from their summer collection but I think that the handle is longer. I love the highlighter brush because of the small tapered shape that allows for precise application. I haven't used the highlighter brush yet but it's very soft and has a nice density.

all you need for a flawless face!
it can be easy to feel like you need a hundred products for a flawless makeup application—this is not the case! I have found I can get a perfect base and eyeshadow look with just these 5!
beautyblender - Nude
first and foremost, there’s nothing like the beauty blender. I’ve tried every “dupe” there is, nothing comes close! you can use this for your foundation, and because of the material and shape it never leaves harsh lines or marks. I ALSO use this for my concealer, so it’s really a great multi use tool!
ecoTOOLS - Blending & Bronzing Brush
this is my favorite brush for bronzing. because of the stippled bristles, it diffuses the product in a beautiful, natural way. my bronzer never looks too heavy or marked. my favorite brush!!
wet n wild - wet n wild Fluffy Blending Brush
wet n wild makes some of the best brushes i’ve ever used. they come in a set around the holidays and i also get them for the fluffy + highlight brushes. these absolutely hold their own against more expensive counterparts. if you haven’t tried them yet, do!!
lastly, if you use powder blush, a simple blush brush is the final brush you need. that’s it! 5 products, a blended, flawless base.
I have probably used over 200 makeup brushes at this point in my life. deciding on these 5 was surprisingly easy. the way I was able to narrow it down was the fact that all of these brushes are multi use.
I’ve used the fluffy brush for both eyeshadow AND concealer.
the bronzer brush is also wonderful for blush.
the blush brush has been used for both highlighter and bronzer when I’ve been in a pinch.
the beauty blender of course can be used for foundation, concealer, contour, and liquid blush.
if you’re able to, always try to find products that are multi use!!
I’ve challenged myself to use less products and these 5 make it totally doable!
