How to care for high porosity hair Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque I knew about this Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque because I saw that many influencers are sharing it on YouTube. Due to word of mouth from the bloggers, I decided to buy this product, and the effect did not disappoint me. This mask really exerts an extremely strong moisturizing and water-locking effect perfectly targets the problems of high porosity hair. Effectively reduces the frizz of the hair, becomes soft and shiny. I am very satisfied with the results. My only complaint is the smell. It is too fragrant, and I can smell it the whole day. It would be better if Shea Moisture could produce a similar moisturizer but with a weaker fragrance!

Tips & tracks for high porosity hair ✨
If you have high porosity hair like me, it’s good to give your hair the extra protein that it needs. I have some natural ways to do this below: ✨ DIY protein masks like mixing egg, avocado, Greek yogurt and honey are a great way to strengthen your strands, while adding volume and thickness. Coconut oil is another great natural protein ✨ Massaging your scalp with sweet almond oil is another great way to get the blood circulating and get the protein deep into the hair follicles. If you want, you can also heat the oil before doing the scalp massage 👌🏽
Have High-Porosity Hair? Try These Products!
I have high porosity hair and always look for good styling products. I've tried only two products so far. They have different texture, but they all have good effects, so I recommend them to you and here is my review. SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Souffle My hair will be styled well after blow drying. It smells like coconut and I really love that. The hair will not feel sticky after drying. The only cons is that its texture is a little hard. The texture is more like jelly, which cannot be squeezed by hand. If I apply it to hair and it will fall off. Half left in the hair, half fell to the ground.😂 PERCY & REED - Quite Frankly Flawless Finishing Polish I bought it from Sephora. I like its milk texture and it's more like cream. It smells nice and I guess most of you will like its scent. I squeeze a pea sized amount in my hands and then apply it to my hair. It really helps to tame my frizz hair, but I have to say the hair styling effect isn't as good as the gel. When the air is wet, the hair will be a little frizzy😭So if your curly hair tends to be frizzy, you'd better choose gel. If your curly hair is smooth, you can use this cream. How to Determine Your Hair Porosity I mention that I have high porosity hair, and if you don't know how to determine your hair porosity, I'll share what I learned on hair website. How can you determine if you have high-porosity hair, low-porosity hair, or something in between? Take a dry, clean strand (meaning, with no styling products on it) of your hair out of your head, put it into a cup of water, and see how long it takes to sink to the bottom. If it sinks straight away, you have high-porosity hair; if it sinks after a few seconds, you have medium-porosity hair, and if takes even longer to sink, you have low-porosity hair.

My hair savoir - OLAPLEX No 3! Can't live without it!
I guess some of you may not know how to test hair porosity. I've searched online and find the method. About hair porosity Hair can be classed as having low, medium (normal), or high porosity One involves dropping a strand of your hair into a glass or bowl of water (no need to pull any hair out, one that’s been shed naturally on your hairbrush is just fine!). If your hair stays floating on top, it has low porosity. If it sinks a bit after several minutes, it has normal porosity. If it sinks immediately, it has high porosity. Products Recommendation I have high porosity hair. My hair is always dry and frizzy. Recently, I used a product that really surprised me - OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This cream has nearly 2,000 reviews on Sephora. Its main effect is to repair and strengthen damaged hair. It is suitable for all hair types. Personal use method Step1 Wet the lower part of the hair and dry it slightly with a towel. Step 2 Apply thick layer of the cream, and tie a bun with a hair scrunchy. Step3 After 1 to 2 hours, wash it off, just like how you wash off your shampoo. I will not apply it to the scalp directly, but this is just my personal choice. My personal feeling After the first use, my hair was softer, butI didn't see the obvious change. After the fifth use (half bottle): my hair is shiny. In the past, even if I got up the next day after blowing dry my hair, I would still have frizzy hair. However, after half bottle was used up, dry and brittle hair didn't bother my anymore. It cost about $28. It is more expensive than normal haircare products, but worth the money. Personally, I am very willing to spend more time and money on hair care products. Recommend it to everyone!
