Overhyped or wrong product for my hair?
Verb Sea Spray is A lightweight texturizing spray that is meant to give you wind swept waves The texture is a very fine mist I am torn on this product because I don’t know if it is overhyped or just not right for my hair type. I tried this because I am a huge fan of their ghost line. However the spray did not help give me waves it just made my hair very stiff and sticky. I did try using less I tried using more I tried it on wet hair I tried it on dry hair and I just could not make this work for me. What I recommend this product to other people? Maybe? If you had thicker or already wavy curly here this might work better for you. For $18 if it works for you I think it’s worth itVERB - VERB Sea Spray

Drugstore Products That Work - Dove Hairspray
Dove - Style+Care Micro Mist Hairspray *hair is mostly fine and wavy Let’s talk hairspray! I feel like I was very scared of using hair spray for a very long time because I didn’t want my hair to have that crunchy texture like I thought it would. Basically because when I was younger that’s exactly what hairspray DID. When I went searching for a hairspray on a trip to Calgary I was so cautious and wanted something that would hold my curls in place but leave me with body and a soft texture. That’s when I found this. I have to say I was hesitant to use a Dove hair product because I’ve just always known Dove to be more of a body brand. This hair spray was cheap ($15?) and the slim and sleek packaging along with the “micro mist” had me sold. The packaging is perfect for holding to be honest. I feel like you don’t think of these things until you’ve actually tried something better and you’re like oh ya that’s nice. The slim waist in the bottle (lol) actually makes it super easy to hold and spray. The drawback is that aerosol sprayer doesn’t work the greatest and some product usually fizzes and gets on my hands. The micro mist itself does hold true to its claim and is very fine which is nice in ensuring you don’t get that crunchy texture. The smell is a little too sweet for my likings but I usually use it with a hair fragrance that masks the smell. I use this for holding my curls and for flattening flyaways and it works just as I want it to. There’s a few different versions of this hairspray in the line so I would like to maybe try another one of those before repurchasing this. Overall though it’s a good product for relatively cheap and the can has lasted me since November with no foreseeable end in sight.

How I Flat Iron My Curly/Wavy Hair
I have thick, wavy/curly hair that can be difficult to straighten. In order for me to straighten it effectively, I need a powerful, high-quality straightener. I have a CHI - G2 Ceramic & Titanium Hairstyling Iron ($129). I’ve owned cheaper irons in the past, and none of them give me as smooth of results as this iron. This occasionally will go on sale at Ulta, or use a 20% coupon to save. I promise this will last you years!! I’ve had mine for about 4 years. Good hair tools are always worth the investment. This 1” iron features titanium-infused ceramic plates to smooth hair while it straightens. It has a variety of heat settings from 370-425F. I typically use 395-410F depending how wavy/curly my hair is. It takes less than a minute to heat up, and also features auto-shut off in case you forget to turn it off. I love that this iron is dual voltage, so you can take it traveling abroad with you - which I have!! I start by prepping my hair with sun bum - Heat Protector spray. This is good for wet and dry hair. I sprayed it on my dry day 3 hair after combing and waited about 5-10 min before flat ironing. Always use a heat protector! After flat ironing, I sealed in my style with the R+Co - FOIL Frizz + Static Control Spray to smooth frizz and add some sleekness. I then styled with /kit·sch/ - Rose Gold XL Snap Clips . I prefer my hair to have a little bit of shape at the ends. You can see in the video I angle my iron towards my face at the ends to achieve that. You can angle your iron whatever way you want or just drag straight down for super straight ends. This style can be easily manipulated for you personal preference! #CheriePartner

OUAI Texturizing Hair Spray
This product is super ultra-lightweight that is a combination of dry shampoo and hair spray to help build incredible volume and texture. I absolutely love this product. To start off it smells AMAZING!! It smells florally with notes of Italian bergamot, rose, waterlily, iris, and white musk. I love to use this product after curling my hair as it adds volume and provides a beautiful texturized look. I also love how it doesn’t leave my hair feeling super stiff like hairspray usually feels. I have been using this product for more than a year and I love it and would definitely recommend it to others. This currently retails for $26 on Sephora and it is so worth it!

Wavy Hairspray: Yes to Movement, No to Crunch
Styling wavy hair can be tricky. My wavy hair is thick in volume yet fine in texture, going down to my mid-back, and it loves to frizz. To control this, hairspray is my best friend. But, not all hairspray was made equally- I’ve ended up with a veritable helmet of hair more than once. I love movement to keep my hair from looking flat, so I was an instant convert when I tried the amika: - Fluxus Touchable Hairspray 💕 • Crunch? I spend money + time to keep my hair soft, so why would I dry it out with hairspray? Fluxus manages to avoid being overly drying, taming fly-always without coating hair in a stiff mess. • Movement? Speaking of stiffness, that’s what you’ll be avoiding with Fluxus. My hair still moves in the breeze, easily combed through with my fingers. No helmet 🙌🏽 How I Style: I’m a minimalist, but I don’t like being a puffball. So when I’m not wearing my hair in a ponytail and ballcap, I typically stick to the tried-and-true! Wash and condition (or amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo and amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner ) followed by a wide-tooth comb detangling session. Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil applied to tips. Then, once everything has dried, I spray a liberal amount of Fluxus in my palm and smooth my hands over my hair. I repeat a couple times, focusing on my fly-aways and baby hairs, until everything is smoothed and settled. Fancy? No. Easy and effective? Yup!
