Truly Mary Jane CBD Glow Serum
This product is marketed as a lightweight CBD and AHA serum that is concentrated with caffeine and glycolic acid to help brighten and even out your skin tone. The glycolic acid lightly exfoliates to help resurface skin while the CBD oil helps to hydrate and helps lock in moisture to provide a glowing complexion. This serum can be used to brighten, hydrate, surface, nourish and firm the skin. The consistency of this serum is on the thicker side which in my opinion makes it feel more hydrating. I have been using this serum for a few weeks now and I love it! I haven’t seen any noticeable changes yet, but this serum is super hydrating and it prevents by skin from being dry and flaky. I would recommend this product to others because it is hydrating and can be a great replacement for a moisturizer! I also think the product is worth it ($30) for the amount of product you get!

Good but could use improvement...YSL Pure Shots
Yves Saint Laurent Beauty recently gifted me their Night Reboot, Y Shape, and Light Up Serums and I have to say...they aren't that bad but they aren’t great...I’ve used all 3 for several weeks now Night Reboot: This is a chemical exfoliant that contains Glycolic Acid and Moonlight Cactus extract. It claims to gently remove dead skin cells to reveal a more radiant complexion. I haven't suffered from any adverse reactions and I’ve woken up with a somewhat brighter appearance but nothing amazing Y Shape Serum: Claims to target loss of elasticity to lift, define, and sculpt the contours of your face. It contains Barbary Fig botanicals and peptides. This one I really enjoy but it’s more difficult to see results rather quickly so I'll have to update in a few months! Again, no adverse reactions and smells nice. Light Up Serum: I LOVE Vit C! This contains Vitamin Cg and Marshmallow (yes, marshmallow) Flower. The two brighten your complexion and neutralize damage from free radicals. It also takes care of hyperpigmentation and redness. No adverse reactions so far and I really enjoy this in the morning. I was a little disappointed that the serums were housed in PLASTIC as these retail for $88. The actual vessel which holds the serum is glass but the exterior is completely plastic. When you pop the lid off the top, the entire interior comes out with it if it isn't locked into place correctly. All of the serums are very thin in consistency but absorb nicely. I hope YSL will eventually re-package these with glass! Cherie Made Me Buy It: Glycolic Acid 🤩
This year I decided to start trying out AHAs to see if they would work on my sensitive skin type and to see what would be the best option for me. Like many people on this app, after reading up on multiple products, I decided to purchase The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I heard many raving reviews regarding this (YouTube, Cherie, IG) and figured it must be amazing. Plus it only retails for about $9, so it’s not like i would be investing a lot of money up front. Unfortunately, this product and my face did not like each other 😆 I had no issues with the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA but it seems the formulation in the toner was a bit more sensitizing. My guess is the flower waters they use (Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water). I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted to love this, but i just didn’t work for me and would leave my face feeling super itchy. It didn’t have any string scents, but was sensitizing to my skin. 😕 However, as with a lot of products that don’t work for my face, I decided to repurpose this and I began using it on my underarms and for body exfoliation instead. The toner not only exfoliates my underarms, but it also helps with hyperpigmentation, and smell! Yep - you read that right. The acids from the toner help to balance out the pH of my underarms, causing them to smell less and act as a great primer before putting on my deodorant. -I start by putting some product on a cotton round and gently rubbing it on my underarms and any other area of my body that needs to be treated (body acne, dark spots, etc..) -After letting it dry down a bit, I swipe my #Pretty Frank - Zinc Deodorant (Unscented)[products]#[FiveStars] on both pits. With this combo, I get less irritation because neither product contains baking soda, and it truly keeps my B.O. at bay. The toner is more of a liquid consistency, so a putting it into a spray bottle can help with the application process as well. Have you all used this toner? What are your thoughts? #CheriePartner
The Ordinary-Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
Glycolic acid Consisting of the smallest molecules of all the AHAs, allows it to deeply penetrate and exfoliate pores, proving it the most effective AHA. It also reduces sebum production and aids in collagen production. ⚠️ Caution ⚠️ : Always wear SPF as this acid makes you sun sensitive 🌞 Product Links: 🧪The ordinary glycolic acid 7% toning solution - Available at CultBeauty 🧪Pixi glow tonic - Available at ASOS 🧪Nip+Fab glycolic fix pads - Available at Superdrug . .
#getemptywithme - gentle aha essence
I never knew I even needed an essence in my life until I tried this one from Caudalie. Just finished this mini a few weeks ago and thankfully I have another in stock! This does have a slight fragrance which is why I only gave it 4 stars as some people might find it overpowering. I am typically sensitive to scents but this does not bother me, I actually quite enjoy it. Let’s talk about why I love it! It has glycolic acid which is the smallest molecular size of all the AHAs. This means it’s able to penetrate deeper into the skin. I’ve found this essence helps brighten my skin and also provide a gentle exfoliation. When I pair this with their serum I wake up with baby soft skin in the morning! This product only has a 6 month shelf life which is why I opted to go for another mini since this one is empty. Even though I use it quite regularly I have a lot of other products I rotate with and do not think I could finish a full size in 6 months!

Glycolic Acid, does it work?
Formerly known as Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish. It retails for a whooping $80.00 usd, pretty expensive. But is it worth it? Given that you are supposed to use it as treatment 2-3 times a week but I would suggest using it once a week as both a mask and a physical exfoliator. Given that I have felt my face the same way with the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser which is basically as smooth as a baby✨ Exuviance’s polish has better ingredients for sure and it is an MD grade product. It did not dry my skin out and have in mind I left it on for about 3 mins, instead of the 2 minutes that they recommended (it was an accident, oops🤦🏼♀️) and no dryness or peeling happened the day after as well, just super soft skin. I cannot say which one has worked better in terms of long term as I just started using the glycolic polish. But I will keep you posted 🧡 what’s your favorite face polish or exfoliator or exfoliating pads? 💁🏼♀️
