Is it really a dupe?? Drunk Elephant vs. Inkey🍀
In this round of dupe products, I tested Drunk Elephant’s Protini against The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer. I have used Protini in the past and just got the newly released Inkey List moisturizer a few months ago. I was excited to see how they would perform up against each other. Let’s dive in! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream $68/ 50ml: contains a combination of signal peptides, growth factors, and amino acids. It comes in an airtight jar and a pump to prevent exposure and oxidation. The cream is in an intensely thick formula but surprisingly doesn’t feel too heavy when applied on my oily skin (although I feel oilier later in the day). The formulation has A LOT of peptides. Nine in total. I’m still skeptical when it comes to peptides since there haven’t been enough controlled studies to support the claims. However, I do know it has amazing moisturizing properties therefore, it may really help reduce fine lines and improve the overall health of the skin. THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer $14.99/ 50ml: this is a mainly a shea butter moisturizer. The peptides are last in the ingredients list. It contains a two-percent royal epigen P5 that claims to nurture skin and help decrease the appearance of fine lines and one-percent hydrating peptide solution to support the moisture barrier. It has fewer ingredients compared to Protini so it has less potential to cause irritations for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Texture and Consistency: I find that the Inkey moisturizer is more lightweight and sinks in quicker than the Protini. However, the Protini has that special luxurious silky feel to it. It feels really soft and cream slides easily onto skin. They are both sufficiently moisturizing for my oily skin. Both make me oilier at the end of the day but I really have no problem when used in the nighttime. I think they’re both great products. Both are fragrance-free and have occlusive properties. They seal in the moisture to keep your skin looking healthy and they’re perfect for use to repair the moisture barrier and replenish your skin with hydration overnight. So which one should you get? depends on your needs and skin type: I would say, go for the PROTINI if: You have dry skin You have wrinkles and fine lines You prefer a really intensive hydration You’re not sensitive to plant extracts Go for the PEPTIDE MOISTURIZER if: You have oily skin You are acne-prone You prefer a lightweight moisturizer You’re sensitive to plant extracts *cons: it has a strong chemical smell I personally have been enjoying the Inkey List moisturizer better than the Protini. Although I have always loved the Protini, I find that the Inkey moisturizer works better with my skin type. Thank you for reading! xoxo

C Firma Dupe? I used the Drunk Elephant vitamin c for a year and my skin really loved it. Although it is a bit strong my happy medium was every other day or at night. The C Firma is an amazing vitamin c however the Mad Hippie is a great alternative for sensitive or easily irritated skin types. And while I do love Drunk Elephant so much I realize they are a bit expensive. Their kits are amazing though & one of the BEST ways to buy from this brand, in my opinion, because you can get a bundle deal on several products. I wish they would bring the Acid Trip Kit back! That was the best kit they ever made, I swear! Mad Hippies vitamin c does not contain polysorbate or phenoloxyethanol like cfirma. MHippie also contains Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which is a more stable form of vitamin c than L-Ascorbic. It also provides the same benefits without the risk of oxidation or irritation that is often found when using L-Ascorbic. Which is why I think it’s a great one for the price. Mad Hippie Vitamin C Retails at around $30 They are also cruelty free, vegan & can be found at Whole Foods, Ulta, Amazon, or online. They are one of my favorite affordable brands! I have several of their products & loved them all! - sodium Ascorbate phosphate, Ferulic, & vitamin E - hyaluronic, konja root & chamomile Drunk Elephant Retails at $80 and can be found at Sephora, Amazon, or the their website. It also made the Allure Best of Beauty award, Womens Health award, & InStyle! - 15% L-ascorbic, ferulic & 1% vitamin e - chronocyclin, pumpkin ferment & pomegranate extract, vinis vinifera (grape juice), licorice root, Indian gooseberry, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, & virgin Marula oil

Peptide moisturizer drunk elephant dupe?
I’ve been trying to buy more affordable skincare products because really the things you put on your face shouldn’t be an extensive $1,000 10 step routine I think, that’s just how my skin is it doesn’t like a lot of products so I got this new Inkey list peptide moisturizer and I do very much like it. I think it’s a perfect drunk elephant dupe perfect for dry/ combination skin gals and it’s unscented which is perfect. I’ll do this morning or night and slap on some good molecules oil and I’m ready to go. 5/5 I like this product very much and I’m starting to really like the inkey list. They have a really affordable retinol I’ve been trying out from them too and I’ll keep you guys updated on that one 😉

The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask I also found this dupe on Tiktok! Everyone is talking about the ordinary AHA BHA solution and I’m so glad! I’ve been using this for a little over a year now and it’s really amazing. I have a previous review on this product so I won’t get too much into it. The Drunk Elephant Babyfacial is a new product to me. I always saw everyone raving about this so I finally decided to give it a try. So many people on Tiktok are saying that the ordinary product is a dupe for this one but I had to see for myself. These products are more different than I originally thought. Despite them having almost the same percentage of AHA and BHA, the user experience is much different. The drunk elephant one comes out a tan color with slight particles in it. It’s super sticky and you have to spread it evenly before it dries because it’ll become tacky and uneven. It has a subtle scent but it smells natural. You are supposed to leave this on for 20 minutes but I usually do 15 to lessen irritation. The ordinary one goes on red and less sticky but you are supposed to leave it on for only 10 minutes or less. In my opinion, the ordinary one does a more intense job at exfoliating. I would recommend this to someone who has oily or rough skin type that wants to try an AHA BHA product. The drunk elephant one is more of a luxury experience and left my skin a little softer. I think this is good for someone with normal to dry skin because it does have some moisturizing agents as well as the AHA BHA. I will continue to use both! I do think that if you’re on a budget, it’s worth it to just get the ordinary product because the results are very comparable

DUPE FOR DRUNK ELEPHANT PROTINI?
Hey everyone! Just wanted to show you a great dupe for the protini moisturizer! Like everyone, I am seriously obsessed with this moisturizer and had gone through a few jars. But after my 4th empty, I realized I can’t keep dropping $90 (Canadian) on a freaking cream. So I went searching and found ACURE. The Acure rejuvenating whipped night cream has: multi-peptides (drunk elephant has the same ones!) vitamin C ferulic acid glacial-glycoproteins (basically a molecule composed of a protein and a carb) shown to hydrate and smooth and protects skin from free radicals. They are basically exact dupes as they have the same peptides and the same base of glycerin and hyaluronic acid. The only difference is that DE has amino acids. Also, it’s is definitely thicker than drunk elephant, but if you’re dry like me: the thicker the better. I’ve had zero break outs and no redness. It’s a great product and only $25 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
