Foundations for sensitive skin
As anyone with sensitive skin knows, finding a foundation that doesn't irritate your face can be tricky.Luckily, there are a handful of gentle foundations on the market that will coddle even the most sensitive of skin types.
One of the most underrated foundations!
A while back, my face was going through a purging face, I was not sure what the cause was - could have been diet or a product I wasn’t aware of. I was super self-conscious and I would not leave the house without any make up on. After reading a lot of reviews online on the many foundations out there I decided to give this Clinique foundation a try! And I’m so glad I did 🤭🤩 This foundation claims that overtime it will make your skin better, which was the original reason why I wanted to try this foundation. This foundation is super hydrating, evens out your skin tone, and it’s lightweight! It is so skin like, it doesn’t look like you have any base makeup on. It did not irritate my acne or skin at all, which was what surprised me the most! I definitely think this foundation is worth the try, and in my opinion I think this foundation is very underrated. If you have sensitive skin or dealing with troubled skin, definitely check this foundation out, you won’t be disappointed. It is also not super expensive either. All you need is about a pea size amount, it spreads out evenly and I think this foundation will last me a while! 🤩🤩 It is a 5-star product for me! Best foundations for combo sensitive skin!
I haven’t been wearing much makeup in COVID-times, but it’s fun to experiment with makeup and find COMFORTABLE foundations. You feel me—my sensitive, combo-oily-dry-everything people!!! I need foundations that won’t break me out or accentuate my dry spots or acne texture. I’m fine with my texture and redness showing but I don’t need my skin flaking off mid-day you feel me?? Here are my favorite current foundations for my red, sensitive, acne-prone combo skin: 1. e.l.f. Acne-Fighting Foundation. e.l.f. - Acne Fighting Foundation This is a lightweight, medium coverage foundation that is formulated with a small percentage of salicylic acid to help fight breakouts. Right out of the tube it’s pretty thick, and a little bit goes a long way. It has a satin-to-matte finish, I would recommend using a facial oil underneath as a primer if you have any dry spots like me! I am in the shade “porcelain” and it’s a pretty good match. Speaking of shades, this product is actually being discontinued...I’m shocked! But I’m happy. When it came to this product’s shade range it was good but not great. If you look at their main foundation the range is fantastic though. I think they’re going to release a new foundation soon since this one has been around for a while. I love e.l.f. because they are cruelty free, vegan, AND affordable/accessible. Plus they make pretty good products! This doesn’t irritate my skin or accentuate my texture. I really like it. 4/5 2. Rare Beauty Foundation. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation OKAY LISTEN. I don’t know what kind of magic Selena took off the set of Wizards of Waverly Place but this foundation is IT! It’s so lightweight yet it packs a TON of coverage. Tread carefully—a little bit goes a very long way. This is one of the most skin-like foundations I have ever used without it being dewy. It has a soft matte finish but it’s not overly drying. If you have any dry spots, use a facial oil as a primer or a hydrating primer. Shake the bottle before using it!! It also stays fresh for a long time so for example about 15 minutes after applying it, I went to apply cream blush and I applied a little too much so I went back in with my foundation brush and started blending it out with that and OMG. The foundation didn’t pick up or turn splotchy at all (you know what I mean). The best part about this foundation is that it doesn’t look cakey and SEEMINGLY melts into your skin even more throughout the day — the coverage was the same for me, flawless, after 8 hours of eating, drinking, laughing, sweating, AND wearing a mask. WHAT?!?! Note that I did not set this with a powder, rather I set it a few times with a setting spray to keep it in place. I prefer a dewier & that didn’t affect the wear time at all. I love this foundation SO MUCH! Plus as a higher end foundation it’s only $29! 5/5 What are your fav foundations? #CheriePartner

Best Foundations for Sensitive Skin✨
I have sensitive combination skin and I breakout SO easily with makeup. I have really light skin too. I need a good foundation to feel lightweight, cover my redness and provide even coverage all around. I also expect it to not break me out. Here are my top 2 currently. ✨CC Red Correct by Erborian $44 for 1.5 oz ☀️This is technically a more high end CC cream but I use it as a foundation because it gives me exactly what I want. It’s lightweight, gets rid of my redness and doesn’t break me out. It also has broad spectrum SPF 25 sunscreen which is just another perk. I’m super curious to try their other products as they focus on skincare in their makeup! ☀️I apply this with a beauty blender and love it. It doesn’t make me shiny and gets rid of my redness so well so it fully evens out my skin tone which is my biggest goal for makeup on my face. ✨CC+ Cream by IT Cosmetics $39.50 for 1.08 oz ☀️This calls itself a CC cream but don’t let that fool you. This provides COVERAGE. It provides a full coverage, has SPF 50 and is described as an anti-aging hydrating serum that hydrates and protects skin while diffusing imperfections. It has collagen, Hyaluronic acid, niacin, peptides and antioxidants and can be used by all skin types but is ideal for dry skin. They say this can be used as a full-coverage foundation, physical sunscreen for SPF 50+ and as a hydrating anti-aging serum. ☀️This for me acts as a foundation but is good for people with sensitive skin. I’d say it provides the benefits of the Erborian product but is way heavier in coverage. I disagree that this can be called a serum but I understand the ingredients in this that make them want to say that as it is hydrating- but that’s a no. It’s a foundation. I use a beauty blender to apply this and love it. I find it can be a bit heavy but it has lots of perks so I just make sure to double cleanse after use and enjoy it. 🤗 Sometimes I’ll use a little bit of both if I want a light look too! The after pic is an example of that. it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ erborian - CC Color Correcting & Redness Reducing Broad Spectrum SPF 25 #CheriePartner

Makeup Routine for Sensitive Skin
I have sensitive normal-dry skin (depending on the time of year) and always look for products that are lightweight, hydrating, soothing, and that cover redness. With sensitive skin, you want to be careful when selecting and applying your makeup; your skin is likely very easily agitated and if you’re like me, you’re often dealing with redness. I struggle with redness on my cheeks, around my nose, and on my chin. For the most part, I try to avoid any products (especially face makeup) that is super heavily fragranced, because I can pretty much guarantee it’ll make my redness worse and/or cause a breakout. Here are some of the products that work for me and my sensitive skin and help to give me an even, glowy, but natural look! 1. COVER FX - Water Cloud Primer - this primer is very hydrating and soothing, it also helps to protect against blue light and pollution. I like to start with a hydrating primer, especially in the cold weather months, because my skin tends to be drier and I want my makeup to look smooth and even. If you find that your makeup clings to dry patches, make sure you are exfoliating 1-2 times weekly and adding moisture back into your skin with your skincare! 2. Quo - Quo Liquid Foundation (shade C3 Vanilla) - this foundation has a satin finish and always gives me a healthy glow (if you are oily you may need to set with powder but should still be able to wear this). I only use maybe 5-6 drops for my whole face because I like to still be able to see my actual skin. 3. HALEYS - Re:Cover Pressed Powder Foundation (shade 2.15 in the winter and 2.25 in the summer) - I am obsessed with this powder foundation; it melts into my skin and is so natural looking. It doesn’t make me look cakey or powdery and is so easy and quick to use. Typically I either wear this alone or I’ll use a bit of it over my liquid foundation in my t-zone to set it. 4. tarte - Shape Tape Concealer (shade Fair) - this is a holy grail in the beauty world for good reason, it has amazing coverage (can be drying). I apply a dot of this near the corner of my eye and another one near the outer corner, if my redness is really bad, I’ll also use a bit of this around my nose and on my chin. 5. ILIA - NightLite Bronzer Powder (shade Novelty) - I use a bronzer year round to warm up my skin & give a glow. This one is super pigmented so be careful! 6. essence - Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara (shade 02 Browny Brows) - I loooove this stuff, it’s so quick and easy and holds up really well throughout the day. Also it’s like $3!! 7..HONEST - Extreme Length Mascara + Lash Primer - this stuff is amazing! It has a primer on one end and really does give amazing length. 8.DIOR - Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss - gives my lips the best glossy look! It’s iconic for a reason😉 #CheriePartner

Primer & BB Cream for Sensitive Skin🎀
My new primer and BB cream🎀 I bought this @JaneIredale Smooth Affair Primer and Glow Time BB cream a few months ago. I had done some research for BB creams that were good for dry/sensitive skin and this one was on several top 10 lists. 💕 I am definitely glad that I bought the primer with the BB cream because it really helps the cream go on smoothly and a little bit of the BB cream goes a LONG way. I actually mix the primer and BB cream together and then apply. I use a small squeeze of the primer and a tiny bit of BB cream and that’s enough to cover my whole face! These tubes are going to last me a year at minimum!💗 The Smooth Affair Primer also brightens the skin and minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines. The BB cream is SPF 25 and is water resistant to 40 minutes. I have had reactions to a lot of other foundations and BB creams and don’t react to these products at all! Each of these products is $50, so $100 total. But as I mentioned before, they are likely going to last FOREVER 🥳

THIS OR THAT？two foundations for oily skin
With typical oily skin (especially in summer) and sometimes occasional pimples, my needs for the foundation is strong oil-control power, concealing power, long lasting, and also should be friendly to the sensitive skin. It’s not easy for me to find an ideal product until I met these two types of foundations. both of them are pretty good for my skin but there are still some differences. 1.ESTEE LAUDER double wear stay-in-place makeup. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I bet all girls with oily skin should know this super-star product. You can see it in almost every vlog of those make-up bloggers. Yeah, it is popular for its strong concealing and long lasting power. But also because of it, it will be a little thick and heavy if you put too much on your face. (But just a little, better than a lot of foundations from YSL…) So I strongly recommend to use a beauty blender to make the effect more natural. It does set quickly but the runny texture means it spreads easily and is easy to blend. I don’t feel like I’ve got much make up on, I suppose maybe because it has good coverage. All in all, it almost meet all my needs as a foundation. 2.MAC fix fluid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I give 5 stars to ESTEE LAUDER double wear, this one wins 4. Mac foundations to me are notorious for transferring, which doesn’t change for this one. Also, it isn’t for all-day wear. But except these, it’s perfect in full coverage. Every time my skin was in bad situation with some pimples, I would definitely choose this one as my daily routine foundation. For me the concealing power of this one is better than double wear, it’s phenomenal. One thing should be noticed is that I don’t think this one is suitable for dry skin. And several of my friends told me this one may cause some breakouts on face (but never happens to me) so maybe the sensitive skin should pay more attention.
