Today I'd like to share 3 eye creams that help me solve different concerns. Sheseido is a bit expensive and the other 2 are quite affordable. I have sesnitive skin under eye. Glow Recipe Eye Mask!
The Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask is an overnight capsulated retinol eye mask that reduce the appearance of dark circles, depuff and help to brighten the under eye area. This product uses encapsulated retinol, so no harsh side effects since the retinol is slowly released throughout the use and works slowly, instead of all at once, which can cause irritation. The texture is my favorite, it is extremely creamy and thick, but not to the point where it doesn’t absorb, it is beautiful! I have been using this product for roughly three months now, and love it! I initially wanted to try this to help with dark circles, and boy did it help. My eyes have never looked better, they are brighter and dark circles are a thing of the past, (unless I sleep less than 5 hours a night, but that’s my fault) I was worried this would dry out my eyes at first, but surprisingly it is extremely hydrating, most likely due to the addition of avocado. This has become a staple in my routine, and really love that it is doing all that it claims to do for my under eye area. Brighter and reduced dark circles, who doesn’t want that! I can even skip concealer on most days! I would recommend this product to anyone who suffers from dark circles, and don’t be afraid of the retinol in here, which is often a scary ingredient, this is for the most delicate area, and it doesn’t cause any sensitivity or irritation. I use this every night, and haven’t missed a day since buying this, it has proven to be effective with consistent use. It is definitely worth the time, effort and the price tag ($42). I would give this more than 5 stars! GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask

My bracket for eye care, differentiated ones for separate concerns
I don’t really realize it before age has become a concern for me. Thinking about all the eye creams that I have used, each one deals specifically with different demands for different periods. Luckily, I find all of those functional products nice to have so I’m going to explain a little bit about each product and how it should be used. · Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado Before 18, Kiehl’s has always been in my daily routine not because they provide me with good customer experience but because back in high school, every girl was using it and I don’t spend much time picking at appropriate products. I have to say this product gives me a strong greasy sense and it is really hard to absorb. However, thanks to the avocado oil ingredient, it moisturizes my eye area and does well in dealing with dryness. But I won’t recommend it. ＄50 for 14ml, you can buy another brand with a better customer experience. · Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye ESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronized Recovery This cream contains Bifida Ferment Lysate which is a probiotic ingredient that’s used in many iconic serums in the world. It potently protects against UV-induced damage in the skin and helps with DNA repair. The texture is really light-weight, far better than Kiehl’s and it soaks into the skin within seconds. I usually tap for about three to five seconds and it goes into the deep layer of my eye area. I don’t quite remember the price, probably around ＄60. After using it for over 2 months, wrinkles do get relieved. For puffiness, it does not have very visible results. · The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5％+EGCG The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Sold for only ＄8, it effectively deals with puffiness. Caffeine does that. It is of clinical formulations. EGCG, a plant extract helps also deal with dark circles. I think this one an emergency helper when I stay up only to find an awful look and need to recover.

Under-Eye Hack: Jade Rolling
If under-eye puffiness is a concern for you, then jade rolling should be on your radar. For those unfamiliar with the practice, it promotes lymphatic drainage in the face and reduces puffiness while promoting a healthier and relaxed complexion. Since the jade stones are super cooling and soothing, they’re great for getting rid of any puffiness in the under-eyes. And, the rolling technique improves the efficacy of your skincare products by pressing them into the skin. With that being said, it’s best to jade roll after you’ve applied your skincare products – especially your eye cream if you’re targeting that area. Once your skin is prepped and has that gorgeous slip from your favorite products, all you have to do is gently roll the jade roller in an upward motion starting from your neck to your forehead. When you’re at the eye area, flip it over to the smaller stone and gently roll upwards where you get puffy. I wish I had time to jade roll in the morning – but I’m always running late L I’m a nighttime jade roller and have found that this makes such a difference in my skin the next day by helping me look more refreshed. It’s also a great meditation moment – it’s such a calming, de-stressing moment for me!

Eye creams you need in your life
These are two eye creams that are doing wonders for me, because they each do something different and I feel like I get all around treatment for my eye concerns with both. I would describe my eyes as looking “tired” so I have some dullness I try to work on, try to brighten the area, but not necessarily lighten because I dont have dark spots. I’m also pushing 30, so I feel like some anti aging ingredients are needed! So enter Mineral 89 by Vichy. My go-to for brightening my under eye area via boost of hydration. Its known the more hydrated your skin is, the brighter and smoother your skin looks, and its been working really well for me. Bonus, this product also contains caffeine which depuffs under wye area, which I think is something that contributes to my tired eyes look. My eyes don’t look very puffy anymore. My IT cosmetics Confidence in an Eye cream has a little bit of everything- antioxidants like green tea, green coffee, brightening and energizing agent’s with ginseng, squalane to smooth, peptides and collagen for antiaging, hyaluronic acid to hydrate- thats alot of good stuff! I was sold when I heard all the great ingredients in here, and its been working so great. I even think this product is lightening the freckles/sunspots around my eyes. I use the Mineral 89 during the day and the IT eye cream at night, purely for texture purposes. Mineral 89 is a light gel texture, which because of my combo/oily skin is more desireable for me during the day, and the IT eye cream is thicker in texture and feels better at night. If you can handle the layering on your eye area, the Mineral 89 is so light I think it can be used as a serum underneath the IT cream, if thats something you’d like to do.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
