Healing hand eczema with Codex
Healing hand eczema with Codex
Have you guys heard of this clean brand Codex? It’s a seriously amazing brand, they’ve set a new standard on sustainable beauty and clean formulas! I just heard of them and they gifted me a few items that I’m actually falling in love with! Y’all know I keep it real if it isn’t good I’m not with it.... But they have this skinfood cream for face body and hands to treat irritated skin, and damn it has done my hand eczema wonders. Since we’ve been washing our hands like crazy (and dishes) my eczema decided to make an appearance. It’s been tough and I’ve been putting aloe Vera on it, but after two days of Codex’s super skinfood omg. It healed my hands sooo much. In this video you can see my hand eczema dried up, but if you swipe right you’ll see how inflamed it was just two days ago. This cream helped the most with itching because it has calendula. And not itching means less inflammation! I’ll do a post about the brand altogether because I am super impressed!

Great alternative for eczema/rosacea/a.d.

exederm - Flare Control Cream Great alternative to regular Drugstore hydrocortisone creams for those with eczema, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, etc. It's free from a lot of the junk that triggers flares and is super soothing. Contains 1% hydrocortisone. When my super sensitive skin is at its worst, sometimes this is all it can tolerate. I even use it on my face to help sooth my rosacea when everything else stings too much.

the only thing that helps my dyshidrotic eczema

#up & up - 1% hydrocortisone[products]#[FiveStars] ⚡️my skin type: sensitive eczema and acne prone ⚡️what the product does: anti inflammatory ⚡️what makes it worth it: sometimes when i have an eczema flare up, the only thing that can calm it down is a steroid like hydrocortisone. in the pic ive posted a flare up that is starting to heal after a day or so of applicationn ⚡️ingredient highlights: hydrocortisone steroid ⚡️what the experience is like: nothing fancy here. i use it as a spot treatment on flare ups. ive tried various brands from cvs generic to target to aveeno. they are all effective but be cautious as steroids are a last resort and should not be used longterm ⚡️pro tip: if you have sensitive skin skip all the extra variations of hydrocortisone like “extra “moisturizing” etc just go for the simple basic one

Eczema tips from a dermatologist (and someone with eczema) 👇🏽 • Use fragrance-free or unscented skincare products. My favorites include @aquaphor, @cerave, @cetaphil, and @laroche posay. • Use a gentle soap. @dove unscented bar soap is one of my favorites. Often body washes and shower gels have added alcohols which can be more drying. • Moisturize your skin right after bathing, the dampness will help the moisturizers work as a hydrating barrier. • Shower or bathe with short (5-10 minutes only!) lukewarm water. • Ointments are preferred to creams and lotions, in my opinion, the greasier the better. Try @aquaphor or @vaseline. • Use a fragrance free and dye free laundry detergent. A personal favorite is @all free and clear detergent. • Wear loose-fitting clothing, preferably cotton. Wool is a major irritant for me and can be found in many articles of clothing, accessories, swaddles, and even baby car seats and carriers (!) • Avoid scratching the skin as an open skin barrier predisposes eczematous skin to skin infections. Keep fingernails short to prevent additional damage done by scratching. • Consider seeing a dermatologist if you feel that your eczema is not controlled or is worsening. Restocking on empties of my recent favourites that I’ve been using since February. At first I was only using them on my face, but as I had a developing eczema rash since January, I was ready to try anything. Since the Face Food mist (hydrating, anti-pollution toner) is packed with anti-inflammatory, collagen-enhancing minerals (silver, copper, zinc, magnesium) & the Putty (pUH-tee 😜) pomade contains soothing colloidal oatmeal and restorative ingredients (honey, turmeric, zinc, hemp oil), I realized the results would be quite obvious. After all, these two products from a clinically-proven superfood Canadian skincare line have been beneficial for dry and inflammatory faces. Besides your skincare is encouraged to be applied onto your neck too... ✨ which I never previously considered much. So look at the results after about 3 weeks of use, starting near the end of March (my neck looked like it did in February, but a bit worse throughout most of March, so I just didn’t focus on taking “progress” pics because I was hopeless with the eczema.) Within a few days of mixing the two products in my palm first and then applying on my neck for better absorption, I noticed that, unlike other eczema balms, I only needed to apply the mixture on twice a day, morning and night, that’s how moisturizing it is at a CELLULAR level! I have fallen in love with this stuff, it also smells great (FF: vanilla, P: cream oats,) so I decided to get the big sized bottles after my empties, and the cool thing is I get to reuse my Face Food mist bottle (bonus sustainability point). Although, the airless pump may be hard to recycle conventionally, you can always submit your beauty product empties to Terracycle!♻️ And as for eczema, I just want to say that its pathological root cause is very complex for each individual. I’m still figuring mine out, but I’m pretty sure it’s nutrition & stress related. So I look up to skincare as a maintenance practice, that keeps my skin relatively healthy, while I’m figuring out the other pieces of the puzzle. 💝 Stay tuned for how I clear up the scars + hyperpigmentation, this isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with this! I really like these products a lot. All three make a difference with my skin. The most effective one is the cream. It helps relieve itching (not all day) and irritation spots. It's a smooth texture that absorbs into.the skin nicely. The spray is perfect for on the go issues. If I'm experiencing a itching spell, this spray of perfect to use. It gives temporary relief. The body wash is nice and smells amazing! It's a gel texture which helps calm the skin. It leaves your skin smooth and hydrated. It doesn't strip your skin. Overall, these are a great addition for helping my problem skin. I keep the cream in my purse. 😊 . . What do you use for dry skin?
