Tatcha The Water Cream
My favorite moisturizer I have tried thus far! Nothing has helped calm the texture on my face the way The Water Cream has. The pricing isn’t tight-budget friendly but sometimes you get what you pay for and in this case you have to splurge a little to get this high quality Japanese skin care product. The travel size is more affordable and a great introduction to the product!TATCHA - The Water Cream
TATCHA-The Water Cream
If you can’t find a good product i highly recommended curology! Yes you have ups and downs and purging just like any product. But if you stick through you won’t regret it. You’ll start by sending your assigned professional pictures of your face and they’ll try to pick three ingredients that they believe will help improve your needs (acne, dark spots, wrinkles, texture) and after some use if you don’t think it’s helping they will change your formula as many times as needed to help you achieve what you want. I’ve been using it since Aug 2018 and loveeee it.
Moisturizer face off 🥊
Moisturizer is an important step to every skincare routine. It doesn’t matter if you’re skin is oily, dry or somewhere in between we all can benefit from a good moisturizer. Being a naturally dehydrated gal I need all the hydration and moisture I can get from my skincare, hence why I love to try new moisturizers. Some that have stood out to me include the next: 💦 Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream a tried and true fave of mine. It’s rich, feels luxe but won’t break the bank. I like to use this during colder months since it’s on the thicker side. The formula, rich in ceramides and fatty acids, helps to keep a healthy moisture barrier and with redness. Knocking down one star because it does contain lavender oil which is a known irritant for many people. 💦GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream this is a newer moisturizer I’ve been enjoying. The whipped, lightweight texture makes it perfect to use in summer and it smells delicious. With ingredients like turmeric and cica, this is an amazing moisturizer all around with a lovely texture. 💦cocokind - Texture smoothing cream another recent favorite! I struggle with uneven texture on my cheeks and am always trying to reduce the appearance of pores, so this is a godsend! It’s very lightweight but feels nice and moisturizing. It helps smooth skin with tsubaki seed oil and a celery superseed complex helps reduce the appearance of pores and uneven texture. And it’s only $20! 10/10 would recommend. And there you have it, some of my favorite moisturizers! Do you have any recommendations for me? 🥰

Kiehls Calendula serum infused water cream!
The Kiehls calendula serum infused water cream is a weightless water cream infused with concentrated calendula serum! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, and uneven texture! It is best for normal to oily skin types. The texture of this is a lightweight gel-cream, that feels like a drink of water on your face! I absolutely love this cream but is definitely geared toward oily skin types! I received it as a promo code on Sephora about 5 months ago and it is amazing! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and I didn’t see big results because my skin is on the dryer side and this is geared more for oily skin types! I would recommend this to others because it does have an amazing texture and feeling on the face it also smells so fresh. It is worth the $50 for 1.7oz for people with oily skin!🍊⭐️

supergoop! superscreen moisturizer SPF 40 PA+++
Supergoop! - Superscreen Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40 PA+++ Retails for 38 USD. x this is a hybrid moisturizer plus spf with 40 PA +++ which of course provides dewy hydration and protects the skin against uv rays and blue light. x because this is more of a dewy almost greasy look/appearance, this is best suited for those with dry, normal and combo skin but hey, if you like that look go for it! x it claims to aid in dryness, fine lines and uneven texture/appearance. x texture: not too thick, blends in pretty easily and feels super lightweight. ( photos for reference #1 and #2) x extra info: it is cruelty free, vegan, gluten free and also oil free. x my experience: so while I have oily combo skin, I loved this so much. As a full time student (and let’s be real, sometimes lazy gal) this was nice for days when I just didn’t feel like doing a full routine. I could do a toner/serum and just slap this and be good to go. It is very very dewy, I cannot stress that enough. I personally like that look and I honestly didn’t find it to the point where it looked like I rubbed an oil covered pizza all over my face. It can easily be set with some powder. x I appreciate that it has such a high SPF since most moisturizer/sunscreen combos are more around the 15-30 range. x I will admit I didn’t reach for this so much in the summer cause it would have been way too much, but good for the fall/winter time! I’m currently finishing it up now :) x overall, I’d recommend this more to my dry/normal skin gals and to those who are always on the run or ya know, just want to spend an extra ten minutes in bed instead. Price wise, I think it’s decent, you get 1.7oz and it lasts quite a while. x personally, I like it and think it’s worth it. It’s definitely a 5/5 for me.

Are these Face Creams by Caudalie worth it?
Our skin is our first defense against different damaging environmental factors we are exposed to and many times we don’t take the proper care to either protect it or repair it. When this happens, our skin becomes dry, flaky and wrinkles begin to appear caused because of the lack of elasticity. When our skin is properly hydrated our skin looks fresh, young and smooth. Opposed to what some people think, it doesn’t matter what type of skin you have, you should ALWAYS hydrate your skin, even if it’s oily the skin needs enough water and components to be protected and this way slow down any aging signs. While water is probably the first and most popular option to hydrate ourselves, it’s not the only thing you should rely on. Thankfully, we live in an age in which skin care is a thing so we have all these extra products to help our skin with. Today I will talk about 2 different Moisturizing and hydrating Face Creams by the brand Caudalie, and we will compare them between each other as well and see if they are really worth it, if you really need them all, or if you can just opt for a similar and more affordable option with the same benefits. If you are not familiar with this brand yet, Caudalie is an established French skincare brand and what makes it unique is their commitment to use high quality natural ingredients, grapes to be exact, and preserve the environment creating products that don’t have much impact in our ecosystem. Since 2006 they have been paraben free, making their products really safe for use. They use natural formulas and have amazing vinotherapy based spas around the world. 1- CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet - $39 USD Caudalie gave this product the name of Sorbet because they say it will melt into your skin just like a delicious sorbet melts into your mouth. Also because of the similarity of their texture. This product appears as a cream when you first apply it and eventually turns into a cool gel that will strengthen, sooth and hydrate the skin. Boosting our natural hydration mechanism and replenishing our skin’s water. It’s safe to use if you have sensitive skin since it’s non-comedogenic. Some of its main ingredients are grape seeds, grape water and chamomile to calm the skin and any potential irritation. 2- CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream- $42 USD This products texture is like a regular thick cream, but it’s quickly absorbed by the skin. While the previous product does provide hydration this one seems to win regarding on the amount. It leaves the skin really plumped and refreshed. It’s almost like an emergency facial but in the form of a cream, that’s why it has the words “SOS” and “intense” in its name. And if you suffer from dry skin you will notice its effects even more. It leaves the skin feelings like if you have been drinking a lot of water all day but in a healthy way. It gives you an extra glow just by applying this cream. This moisturizer is recommended for all skin types, it’s also non-comedogenic, not to mention vegan and gluten-free and the package is recyclable. While both products are good, I would say the SOS Intense Hydration Moisturizer wins this time. Simply because it’s more efficient and it only costs a few dollars more. So, if you have to choose between a Caudalie cream I would suggest the second one. Since the first one might seem still a bit pricey for what it offers. PS. Don’t forget to drink water anyways!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
