A mini review on Olehenriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème. . This Vitamin C enriched cream is one of my top moisturisers. It doesn’t feel lightweight, but once on my skin it immediately makes my dull skin brighter, feels so silky & light, makes my combo skin moisturised, but never oily. Wears so well under makeup & the perk is that it smells like Creamsicles🍦🍊. . It’s supposed to target fine lines & wrinkles. Hasn’t lived up to that claim, but I truly love this cream for the day.🌞

Tatcha The Water Cream
My favorite moisturizer I have tried thus far! Nothing has helped calm the texture on my face the way The Water Cream has. The pricing isn’t tight-budget friendly but sometimes you get what you pay for and in this case you have to splurge a little to get this high quality Japanese skin care product. The travel size is more affordable and a great introduction to the product!TATCHA - The Water Cream

The Woes Of Dull Skin
Sick and tired of your dull skin and have no time to sleep? Want to party all night long and still look on point the next day? Numerous deadlines to meet and class at 9? Well, no problem! You can say goodbye to all your dull skin worries because we have the perfect solution for you. However, before we move forward with this review, I want to talk a little about my skin type. I have combination to oily skin, with more emphasis on oily. But, I don’t have any other skin condition, except for huge pores and an occasional pimple that pops up with my menstrual cycle. With that out of the way, I want to introduce you guys to two of my Holy Grail skincare products, which have helped me not only combat my oily skin but also fight dullness during my college days. Neutrogena Hydro-boost Water Gel. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel I am sure you are super tired of hearing about the power of moisturizing. But, we are going to blow its horn anyway. The first thing that helped my dehydrated and dull skin is the Neutrogena Hydro-boost Water Gel. The product is usually marketed for combination skin, but trust me, it is the best for oily skin. It is non-greasy and non-comedogenic, therefore, it hits all the right spots. The formula is light and perfect for everyday use or for using under making as well! The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% and Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The second product is by The Ordinary and I am absolutely in love with it. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% and Zinc 1% is one of the best serums to include in your PM routine. It is lightweight and retails for only $6 to $10. Let’s talk about the ingredients. The niacinamide is a magic product for controlling sebum production on your skin and fighting off the wrinkles. It is a brilliant anti-aging product and fights dullness by keeping the oil at bay. Niacinamide helps retain moisture and fights the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. All in all, it is a wholesome product, which is a must-have for all you oily girls out there. Let’s talk about how to incorporate the two products in your routine. Ideally, it is best to use the serum on a clean and dry face. However, if you are new to such products, then you should mix in two drops of the serum in your moisturizer and then put it on your face. It is all about building tolerance slowly and steadily. They have been a part of my routine for a little over two years and that is why I swear by them both!

Stress repair face cream with niacinamide
I got the new Dr Dennis Gross - Stress Repair Face Cream with Niacinamide in a giveaway with the brand, where they sent me a routine customized for my skin’s needs. This cream has niacinamide, superfoods, adaptogens, and sweet almond oil, and it claims to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and help correct/prevent signs of stress like redness, dryness, and dullness. This cream is suuuuper thick and luxurious. It feels deeply nourishing on my skin, and when I apply it there’s a very subtle cooling sensation—it feels very calming. I use this as my last step in my night routine, and it definitely helps soothe my redness. I’m pretty sure the niacinamide is helping calm my current breakout and reduce redness. Long story short, I really love this cream—like almost as much as the DDG peel pads. A little goes a long way.

gettin’ a GLOW
✨ Pic 1: Makeup i use to glow, products include 1) 1) BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter 2) bareMinerals - bareMinerals Glimmer Eyeshadow 3) Milk MAKEUP - Luminous Blur Stick Primer ✨ Pic 2: Skincare to get rid of dull skin, products include 1) HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial 2) The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 3) Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment 4) Charlotte Tilbury - Charlotte's Magic Cream ✨ Getting Rid of Dullness I have oily skin, large pores, and am acne prone, which leads to a lot of scarring. I find that my healing skin tends to be dull and i struggle with hyperpigmentation from acne scars. I combat this with the AHA masks and chemical exfoliants like the ones listed above. The Peeling Solution, Prism, and Exfolikate all work in similar ways to get ride of dead skin cells and increase turnover of new skin. Each has active alpha hydroxy acids that chemically exfoliate the skin, leading to soft, smooth and glowing skin! All this chemical exfoliation leaves your skin a bit sensitive, so I use a hydrating creme like Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream to sooth and protect my skin after exfoliation. ✨ My skin and makeup I have really oily skin with large pores, and i hate it when my face looks like a cakey oil slick. I always start with a blurring primer and Milk Makeup’s Luminous Blur mattifies and adds a touch a glitter. To combat oil slicks I use a good setting powder around my nose and T-zone to make sure that my face is not shiny but glowy in the right areas. I make my cheekbones qnd eyelids shimmer and glow using the BareMinerals eyeshadow and Becca’s Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop!

Retinol Saved my Skin
I am new to the retinol game; and I’m so happy I finally jumped on board. Retinol is great for: ✨Brightening dull skin ✨Resurfacing new skin and exfoliating ✨Regulating oily skin ✨Balancing and minimizing breakouts ✨Preventing fine lines and wrinkles The first picture is my skin in May. I started using retinol in June, after my breakout subsided. I was so worried about scarring while my skin was cystic. Retinol has completely saved my skin from deep scarring. The second picture is my skin in June. My acne is still cystic, but the scarring has already subsided just from using my retinol twice a week. The last picture is my skin today! Although I still have cystic breakouts due to hormone imbalances, I am so happy with how my skin looks. I still have scarring, but I know if I continue to chemical exfoliate, and se my retinol (not in the same night).
