Dry and itchy skin
Aloe Vera plant saved my dry, red, itchy skin!!
My mom always said you should always have an aloe Vera plant at home as it’s a life saver especially for your SKIN. The Aloe Vera plant soothed my dry, itchy and inflamed skin overnight. I’ve been over cleaning my skin with so many exfoliants, alcohol and scrubs and ended up with chemical burns to my nose and mouth area. The aloe Vera plant instantly soothed the area immediately. When you cut the aloe Vera plant in half the inside gel is very glossy. Apply directly on the skin for a few mins. Your face should be covered with the gel and the aloe Vera plant will no longer look glossy. Leave the gel on the skin for 5 min and let it sink in before washing off. (Note it feels like slime on your face) I did not apply any creams afterward just to let my skin rest from all the products. I hope the aloe Vera plant will work for you too 😚😚😚.
How can I help my eczema, dry, itchy skin?
I am new to the skincare world! I am very excited to learn the ins and outs! Skin Background: My skin is 26 years of age and she looks rather good considering what I’ve put her through ALOT. (Ex. Harsh scrubs, exfoliating every night, hours of sitting in the sun without SPF - yeah, rough times) however, I’ve gained a new love for skincare during quarantine, particularly clean skincare. I know everyone has their own opinion on the term “Clean”, however when I say clean I mean “vegan, cruetely free” skincare, not necessarily “clean” ingredients. If it’s not scientifically proven to cause long lasting damage then I’m pretty open with any ingredients. I think if it works for your skin, then it works for your skin and if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. Especially with the list of issues I have with my skin, I try not to limit my options on what may give me relief. Skin Concerns: Dry; Very Dry (Winter) Eczema Sensitive Dry patches (my makeup LOVES this 🙄) Itchy (on eczema patches) Dry/peeling lips Enlarged pores Textured/Bumpy skin It’s pretty hard having eczema prone skin and finding brands that fall in line with my ethical standards. However, I am currently testing a variety of products and ill be happy to keep you updated on my journey! Also, If you have any other recommendations I’d love to hear from you. ☺️❤️ - K
For that itchy and dry skin!
I absolutely love this body oil mist. After I shave my legs, they become incredibly itchy and this has worked wonders at soothing and preventing future itchiness. It’s a nice, light oil with a pleasant light scent that isn’t overpowering or long lingering. philosophy - Amazing Grace Satin-Finish Body Oil Mist I love the moisture and luxurious feel of this!

flamingo 🦩 has saved my hormonal itchy skin! ❤️
Ok so I’m the past 10 months my body has been going through some STUFF! Not only is my bladder and restless legs driving me up a wall, but for some reason mother hormone has decided itchy skin was also necessary... And I mean itchy like make you wanna rip your skin off...and it happened at bed time.😳 I love my Fruit of the Earth - Vitamin E, Skin Care Cream but for some reason it didn’t tackle the issue. I swear @cherieknew I needed this in my life when they sent me three flamingo body care products. flamingo - flamingo Daily Moisturizing Lotion Great daily moisturizer 🧴, contains squalane for hydration, and willow bark and papaya extract for a gentle exfoliation. Smells AMAZING! A very lush daily lotion for dry skin. Once it is all soaked into your skin there is not greasy film, just soft smooth skin. flamingo - flamingo Deep Nourishing Cream Contains the same base ingredients as the daily moisturizer but they have added Shea butter, which we all know is deeply moisturizing. I absolutely LOVE to use this mostly on my feet 🦶. It’s just so nice and rich. But I also like to use it on my whole body on days I like to a full body moisturizing treatment. 🤗 flamingo - Light Hydrating Spray This is basically the Daily lotion in a spray. It contains the same ingredients, but delivers in a mist. Sprays in any direction, nice even coverage, and you can even spray your back. This one is my absolute favorite of all three. They all help keep my dry itchy skin at bay, but when it does act up this is immediate relief for me. I also absolutely love to use it after the shower 🚿 when I have shaved my legs. It just makes my skin so soft and supple. All of these help in encouraging natural cell turn over, which is something that is sooooo needed in my life! And over time this stuff claims to give a more radiant glow....although I can see results already. No lie my skin was sad a crying for attention. They run about 8-10$ and you can find it at Target! All of these are dermatologist tested, cruelty free, and paraben free.

✨ Detoxify, Refresh, and Hydrate Your Scalp ✨
I have wavy hair that easily gets oily. I used to wash my hair everyday, but have now gotten to the point where I can wash it every other day or push it more (depending how active I am that day or if I’ve gone in public). Even though it gets oily easily, I still deal with a dry scalp sometimes. I bought this scalp mask a while back and decided to give it a try recently. . Claims: Uses volcanic ash blended with citrusy bergamot oil and zesty ginger extract to help add shine, refresh and hydrate for shinier, uncontested strands! Says it helps with full and weighed down hair and limp curls. Aloe Vera is the first ingredient, while Coconut Oil was the second so the combo really packs a hydrating punch. . How to use: Directions say to use a small amount on damp hair from roots to ends after shampooing. This is to be used in place of a conditioner. It says to leave on for 5 minutes and rinse and for optimal results, to allow the steam to penetrate your strands. . Why I Like It: This scalp mask has helped my dry scalp be more hydrated and not be as itchy/dry. The detoxifying and hydrating aspects also helps my scalp not get as oily. After using this product, I can get a few extra days after washing it. In the pictures, the lighting made my hair look extra oily in both pics, I promise it’s not lol. But you can see that it helped detoxify and hydrate my strands. The scent is a very strong coconut scent that lasts for a couple days! This packet is also enough for at least 4-5 uses because you need so little! Will definitely repurchase the full size of this when I run out and use up some more products, it has really made a difference in how my scalp feels and looks! . #CheriePartner

New Body Lotion from Dr. Jart+ !!
Dr. Jart+ recently released a ceramide-rich body lotion affectionately dubbed “Ceramidin” and I was so excited to be able to try it. I have super dry body skin that often becomes itchy and ashy, so I had high expectations. This product has five different ceramides, five different forms of hyaluronic acid, and plenty of great plant extracts like turmeric root extract and cocoa seed extract. (And can we talk about how aesthetically pleasing the packaging is!) It claims to absorb into the skin immediately without leaving behind a greasy feel. All of this, AND moisturizing very dry skin?! I gave it a 5-day trial run to see if it would live up to its claims! FIRST IMPRESSIONS The texture is certainly unique. It’s a watery cream that is completely fragrance-free. While I love heavily scented body lotions, the fact that it’s unscented didn’t bother me and my perfume got a chance to shine. Before testing it, my legs were extremely dry and itchy (I skipped my regular body care routine for a few days prior, giving this lotion a real test) and the lotion did sink right in! Impressive, especially since I’m used to using thick creams to combat my dryness. RESULTS After nightly use for 5 days, I notice that my legs are still quite itchy. This lotion did moisturize, just not enough to eliminate the itchiness caused by the dryness. I let my mother try it, and it was just right for her. She has dry skin, just not extremely dry. It’s a solid lotion, and I’m very happy with the ingredient list. Because it’s full of ceramides, it may take more than 5 days to reveal its true effects. I’m going to continue using it and observe if my skin adjusts better to the hydration! OVERALL RATING : 6/10 This product has very great qualities and ingredients and will be perfect for those with normal to dry skin. For my very dry skin, it didn’t quite measure up. As a hand lotion, however, I think it’s perfect! The non-greasy texture is great if you don’t like the feeling of any lotion on your hands like me. The fact that it’s unscented is a bonus when used as a hand lotion since it won’t aggravate your facial skin or allergies. It felt pretty great under clothing- none of that stickiness that comes with heavier creams- and was like nothing was on my skin. It truly is one of the least-greasy body lotions I’ve ever tried!
