Drugstore do’s and dont’s
Being a teenager with acne I’ve had some experience with drugstore products. So I’m just going to be going over certain brads instead of products individually. 1. Cetaphil This brand as whole has a lot of simple skincare that will just do its job. Before my skin started to get really bad I used the face wash from here Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser and their simple moisturizer. Cetaphil - Facial Hydrating Lotion both we’re good and is good for people with sensitive skin or people just starting who just need a simple routine. And I feel like the drugstore doesn’t really have a lot of products that But I found when I started breaking this wasn’t strong enough for me but I know they do have some acne targeted skin care and I’ve heard it doesn’t dry out the skin like most products do targeted at acne. 2. Pacifica Their products aren’t really found every where but they do sell them at target so I’m just considering them as drugstore😂. I can’t say I like all their products but I have tried a couple and none of them have been life changing but they lived up to most of the claims on the bottle. My sister started using their products last summer and idk what it was but her skin cleared up so much!🤩 I have looked online at some of their other products and they have some pretty good ingredients in them. The only thing is that a couple of them have essential oils in it and some have a little fragrance in it but both were at the bottom of the ingredient list. 3. Clean and clear This whole brand is just a BIG NO. Like this brand is the ceo of damaging your skin. I have a very deep dislike for this brand not only because of the ingredients that they use and how drying they are but clean and clear is what started breaking me out super bad! It is what started my acne journey and I can’t even believe I put literally alcohol on my face everyday. And don’t even get me started on their new lemon line. Like I’m fine with lemon when it’s formulated right but I’m assuming if it’s 3$its not. Lemon juice is known to be really irritating to the skin and can cause inflammation and it can sensitize the skin and it had a very Acidic pH level. 4. Biore They are not like as bad as clean and clear but their definently not the best for your skin. Their ingredient list isn’t packed with alcohol but it still has some things that aren’t the best. I used to use their sodium cleanser and it didn’t break me out but I did really exfoliate my face because it had plastic beads in it😬. If you don’t know what physical exfoliation is it’s the most damaging kind of exfoliation and should be used once per week max. And I was using this DAILY because that’s what it says on the bottle and I didn’t know any better. Anyways but what their most popular for is their biore pore strips and not gonna lie they do work but I found it gives you a quick fix but it ended up giving be more black heads in the long run.

Everyday & (Drugstore) Skincare Routine! 🧴
** WHAT WORKS FOR ME WONT NECESSARILY FOR YOU, JUST SHARING WHAT WORKS FOR MOI** I do this routine all the time, i like to keep it simple and quick, this routine ( minus the rose quartz rolling, which i do for about 10 minutes a time) is probably 5-7 mins. Not gonna lie i don’t do the roller all the time but out of 7 days of the week, i rose quartz roll about 3/4 times. I wash my face with a Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser , just to clean my face, get the dirt off just to refresh my skin. Then i go in with my toner THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent i like to use that as my final step for any extra dirt from left over makeup etc to make sure my skin is quarantine clean before my serum. Next, I use pixi - Glow Tonic and SKIN GYM - Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller , i use them together because the directions on the roller said use with serum, so i did and PRO TIP: put your roller in the fridge and DO NOT clean with water, it messes with the magic of the roller so i just clean it after use with my toner and put it back in the fridge. To go finish off i use Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream for that moisture back into my skin. i have combo skin and that gel cream realy penetrates the skin and leaves it feeling so Supple and soft. i use to roller for like 5 mins after I apply the cream just to help it sink into my skin. That’s it, that’s my routine, it’s simple. I don’t really like talking about skincare cause its as personal as a social security card 😂😂 but it’s just for those who might ask me.
Cetaphil-Daily Facial Cleanser
In high school I constantly bounced between Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Olay, and Aveeno products. Although I’ve abandoned the other brands Neutrogena is one that’s I’ve always came back to because of their formulas. - I’ve read about Korean beauty hydrogel mask, but I didn’t have rushing urge to order one because I was working my way through other kbeauty sheet mask. One day while in Target and picking up Bliss mask, I noticed this one for only $3 I picked up 3 and I haven’t looked back since! I love the jelly like texture, for some reason I feel like it has a bit more serum. I personally like chilling the sheet mask for the maximum soothing opportunity, it refreshes my face right before makeup application. Recently I also read that some people like using sheet mask after their Clay mask to return moisture. I never thought about that, but I’d love to start! I would recommend this mask after a clay mask for the hydrating boost! - With this mask only retailing at $3/unit I find it totally worth it! Once a week would be amazing! I’ve introduced this mask to my boyfriend after he complimented my “soft morning skin” he’s been masking and funding these weekly!

Choose the right facial scrub from Drugstore
When it comes to cleansing, everyone is probably familiar with this step. We have this in our morning and evening routine even before we started skincare. Yes cleansing is the primary and essential step in your skincare routine. This time I tried three drugstore cleansers and want to share some tips for choosing the right cleanser on a budget. If you are looking for a drugstore pick, lets do it! First of all, from my personal experiences, my recommendation is to avoid harsh cleansers. For males or those with strong skin layers, you may find some harsh cleanser great just by the deep cleansed feeling after using it. But many harsh cleansers may cause dryness, and finalizes because of too much dehydration. Cetaphil - Extra Gentle Daily Scrub Cetaphil extra gentle daily scrub I really like the feeling of this scrub. Cetaphil is famous for their cleansers as gentle and organic. This product is not drying at all. It is mainly designed for sensitive skins. Recently I’ve been using this a lot because of the pealing on my nose. I tried some other scrubs and those actually makes my skin worse. This scrub is also very friendly to sensitive skin. Some feedbacks mentioned it is okay to use during their pregnant. From the ingredients side, I don't see any no nos on the ingredients list. Still I would suggest checking with your Doctor. GARNIER - SkinActive Charcoal 3 in 1 Face Wash, Scrub and Mask Garnier Skinactive This is a multi-use cleanser from Garnier another drugstore skincare giant. Garnier Skinactive Ultra Clean 3-in-1 with Charcoal is an innovative face wash that can be use in 3 different ways - cleaner, mask and scrub. Honestly this doesnt attract me. If I am looking for a cleansing product, especially in the drugstore, it should be either economic friendly or has great cleansing finish. However, I am impressed by the feeling. It is very gentle even my bff with sensitive skin loved it after trying once. Price is reasonable - I usually grab two at a time to stay stocked. Clean&Clear - Acne Triple Clear Exfoliating Facial Scrub I was super excited to try this cleanser but once I tried it I was slightly disappointed. It was extremely drying and left my skin squeaky while at the same time it left a film and I don't recommend products with citrus essential oils. Do not recommend.

Bye-bye acne, thanks to French drugstore brand!
Darphin is a French brand that specializes in skincare made from botanical ingredients and essential oils. I got this balm last year when I traveled in Paris. It’s a highly-potent, fast-absorbing balm to fight the look of redness and acne, while instantly increasing brightness, radiance, and luminosity. I am a skincare junkie so I am very strict on what I apply to my skin. This has great ingredients and helped clear my acne as well as help prevent breakouts from happening. A lot of products tend to tingle and burn on my skin but this one did not give me that horrible sensation. Love it over all !
DARPHIN-Aromatic Purifying Balm
You must try this $12 drugstore moisturizer 😇😇
Elf has really been stepping👏🏼up👏🏼 their skincare game lately, and this product is no exception! This is a very simple face cream, which I prefer. I do not like added colors or scents in my skincare. I love when a product is simple and nourishing with no bells and whistles. I have normal to dry skin, and this product treats it very well. It is just the right amount of moisture while not be too thick like some creams tend to be. I use it in the morning as my daytime moisturizer and I find that it keeps my skin happy all day! For $12 I definitely recommend this drugstore skincare product!
