Not ready to let go of your natural summer glow yet? Cream blush is the answer.
| Glossier Cloud Paint - Beam $18 | Claims: seamless (yes), buildable gel-cream blush that's easy to wear (yes) and gives you a flushed from within glow (YES). Texture: gel-cream I use this more during the spring/summer time because of the pink hue that appears on my skin. Sometimes if I'm feelin a little extra or just want some extra color, I'll mix this in with Dusk. It is SO easy to wear and can be applied with a brush/sponge/fingers. Definitely recommend it to those who want something that can be flawlessly applied in no time and love a pink-tinted blush. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color

Highly pigmented cream blush!
I gave into the hype and decided to purchase a cream blush/lip tint by Tower 28 Beauty - and I’m so glad I did! The consistency is very creamy and highly blendable! The colour is VERY pigmented as well as you can see from my swatch! 🤭 This colour will look great on any skin tone as you can control how intense the colour will be. They are also not super pricey either, so I think the price is well worth it! I highly recommend this product. I would repurchase the other colours as well. The packaging is super chic and cute. Tower 28 beauty is also cruelty free and vegan! I rate it 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm

Fenty Cream Blush Review, Swatches, & Looks
I purchased 2 of the FENTY BEAUTY - Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush recently. I had at least 5 of them on my Sephora wishlist, but ultimately decided I should pick colors that are more unique to my growing cream blush collection. I chose the shades “rosé latte” (browny-rose) and “cool berry” (cool mauve-berry). “Cool berry” has some shimmer in the pan, but it barely translates on the face. Both leave skin with a dewy finish, though the product does mostly dry down. You can always put a bit of powder on top so the product is fully dry. Both wear decently well throughout the day, and fade gracefully after about 8 hours, though will still be visible (at least on me) for 10+. Longevity can be increased by setting with a tiny bit of powder or a powder blush. They are both pigmented but sheer out once applied, and can be easily and quickly built up, making these good for a variety of skin tones. This collection features a bunch of beautiful shades - including some “unconventional” ones like a hot orange and lavender. There’s something in this line for everyone, which is what I love about Fenty Beauty. I included photos of myself with the blushes applied semi-heavy to my skin so you can see the color. No bronzer or highlighter. I love how they look! I can’t pick a favorite. I apologize in advance about the appearance of my eyes. I’m currently dealing with some sort of reaction and I can’t wear eye makeup 🥴 Did you pick up any of the Fenty blushes?! Leave a comment below if you did! $20 each About my skin: dryyyyyyy, wearing Undone Beauty concealer in “pink petal light” all over my face for a quick base. Still testing that so no rating yet. #CheriePartner

My Favourite Cream Blushes
Let me first off say that I LOVE blush! Any kind I think it adds such a nice colour and healthy glow. I love more dramatic blush as well as a natural look. I have tried a lot of different kinds such as bouncy blushes, cream blushes, blush sticks etc. So here a couple of my favourite cream blushes with their pros and cons, and maybe later I’ll share my favourite powder blushes! benefit - Benefit Tinted Cheek & Lip Stain Shade: Love tint CAD $24 Pros: - Stays on very well throughout the day as well as under a mask without rubbing off too much. - Looks very natural but is buildable. - Easy doe foot applicator. - Best blended with a sponge. Cons: - You have to work quickly as it dries down quite fast. - If you’re not fast enough it can leave a stamping mark. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Shade: Joy CAD $26 Pros: - Gives a natural dewy look to the skin. - Adds a healthy glow. - Very buildable and lightweight. - Very pigmented! You only need a tiny dot for both cheeks. Cons: - Dries down fast and can leave a stamping mark. - Very pigmented and is easy to go overboard, especially with the darker shades. - Sometimes doesn’t look the best over powder. Freck BEAUTY - CHEEKSLIME Lip + Cheek Tint with Plant Collagen Shade: Fielding CAD $24 Pros: - Super pigmented! - Best applies with a sponge. - You get lots of product so it’ll last a long time. - A little goes a long way. Cons: - Can pill and rub off your skin in an odd way. Is easy to go overboard and apply too much. - Probably not the best for dry skin because it emphasizes flakes on me sometimes. Quo - Featherweight Cream Blush Shade: Dreamy 73 CAD $10 Pros: - You can find it at the drugstore (I don’t know if it’s available in the US). - Price is very reasonable. - Easy to apply with a sponge. - A good dupe for Glossier Cloud paint. Cons: - If you apply it on the back of your hand before your face it’s easy to squeeze out too much. - Kind of pills like the Freck Cheekslime. All in all I love all of these blushes and they all have their pros and cons.

Why do I love Cream Blushes more than Powder Blushes?
I might get older, but I’ll probably never quit loving makeup. I’ve been researching makeup techniques for ‘mature’ skin and so on. Pinterest has been a great source of Youtube videos on the subject. And I think I’ve learned a lot! Blushes is the most important part in makeup and in my daily looks, I always choose to use cream blushes. Do you want to know why? Here's the answer. I choose one powder blushes and one cream blushes. Let's see how they look on my face. On the left side I used Mac Mocha, a powder blushes and on the right side I used Bobbi Brown's cream blushes. I found it easier to apply cream blushes and it also gave me a more natural while youthful look. Cream blushes add a glow to the skin. They're easy to use and can double on the lips as well. The main difference between a young face and an older one is not the number of wrinkles (well that too) but the loss of something called ‘the” luminance of contrast.” Powder blushes somehow will enlarge the difference and need careful attention when applying them while cream blushes give our skin glow just like young faces. That's why I prefer cream blushes to powder blushes. I never consider age an barrier of my love for makeup. I will share more about mature skin makeup in my next posts. If you have some makeup techniques, please share them with me! It's never too old to be a makeup lover.
