Dark skin makeup favorites! ✨Who says black girls can't try pastels?
Dark skin makeup favorites! ✨Who says black girls can't try pastels?
This year, pastel makeup is such a hot trend, and I love it soooooo much! I know so many people say that pastel makeup doesn't look right on dark skin tone, but it's not the thing! We black girls can also get this style gorgeously with these best makeup products!  My skin type: Dark  Foudation: LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation$47 Lancôme really has many amazing colors for dark or deep skin tones! I love their TEINT IDOLE ULTRA 24H LONG WEAR FOUNDATION the most as this is super long-lasting and smudge-proof! Especially during this quarantine, I can wear this foundation under a face mask without worrying about the stains!  Concealer: NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer$30 NARS is an amazing brand for women with darker skin tones as they have concealers with many different undertones like golden, neutral, olive, deep, and so on. My favorite NARS concealer comes in a deep cocoa color, which can brighten up my under-eyes powerfully, even on my dark skin tones! The formula is also creamy and lightweight, leaving a natural-looking finish for a soft effect. I've used the shade in Dark Coffee with a neutral undertone here. Eyeshadow: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 2 £68.00 The key to pastel makeup is the eyeshadows. To achieve a perfect eye makeup look, you must carefully choose the colors based on your skin tone. For people with reddish undertones, try pinks and yellows. If you have yellow undertones, turn to blues and purples. For we black girls having dark or deep skin, the makeup tip is that super-light pinks, blues, lavenders, and whites risk making you look ashy and washed-out, so it's important to avoid using those colors a lot on your makeup. My favorite eyeshadow palette is ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol II! This palette has many colorful shades so  Lipstick: BLK/OPL - Colorsplurge Risqué Matte Lipstick $8.75 Black Opal is an amazing drugstore brand and is really friendly to the women of color! They have so many different shades so I can find one to suit my skin tone best! My favorite shade is Bon Bon with a lovely nude shade, which is super pigmented and moisturizing. I find this color is also ideal for matching my overall pastel makeup look without leaving a dramatic finish!  If you are also into pastels, these are really amazing products you can't miss! Holy-grail product for vitiligo coverage🌟
Holy-grail product for vitiligo coverage🌟
If you have a darker skintone with vitiligo just like me, you will not regret checking this post! The holy grail vitiligo concealing product——Dermablend Cover Creme! For those with lighter skin tones, vitiligo patches can be easily covered up by concealers, however, regular concealer even those camouflage ones don't work that well on dark skin tone. But Dermablend is born for this! The coverage is like WOW and it is smudge proof and will not rub off. Most importantly, it has a wide range of shades for you to choose, so friendly to dark skin tones. You can see it in this picture how great the coverage is! I have obvious vitiligo patches around my eyes while this cover cream just easily covers up those patches. And the texture of this cover cream is more like a clay mask, which is a little bit thick, so it is better to warm the product up before applying it on your face. And I feel that using a brush is better than a beauty blender cuz sponge might drink up all the products and lower down the coverage. This is such a great product for covering vitiligo, especially for dark skin tones! Highly recommend!👍

Let’s Compare Cult Concealers (Part II)
Let’s Compare Cult Concealers (Part II)
So I posted similar to this one with my highlighting shade. These concealers are closer to my skin tone shade. The e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer (color: deep cinnamon) was a STEAL! I got it from Walmart for $6! I saw a lot of rave and reviews about how magical this cheap concealer was so I decided to give it a try. Honestly love this concealer the only negative is, CREASING. I hate for my under eye concealer to crease especially since I have eye wrinkles. Other than that the coverage was full & the consistency was beautiful! The it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer ( color: deep rich) ) is my HG for under eye concealers ! When I want a basic look (with no highlight) I use this & it covers my under eyes seamlessly & it DOESN’T CREASE! The only downside is this concealer is $27 (for the 0.4oz depicted above) or $12 (for 0.11 Oz) , this has lasted me a year and a half .. which is why some of the label has rubbed off. Overall I think e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer is a great concealer for my other skin areas such as cheeks and forehead, but it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer is my always go to for my under eyes because I care about coverage of dark circles and creasing!
