Facial peels for combination skin
Empty and fantastic
I don’t think there is a Pixi product o haven’t loved. Well there is one but we will talk about that in the next review! I absolutely loved the peel and polish by Pixi. I have combination skin which at most of the time it is also extremely sensitive. This enzyme pill is meant to Do you use 2 to 3 times a week or as needed. You apply to your clean skin carefully avoiding that area and leave it on up to two minutes. For extra exfoliation which I’m all about exfoliating you gently massage onto the face for 30 seconds rinse off and then pat dry. You are left with amazingly soft skin that is just glowing and radiant. I like to compare this to drunk elephant’s baby facial. They both are very similar and texture, smell and the way they feel when you apply them to your skin. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to the baby facial then I highly recommend you try this out. I will definitely be re-purchasing this really soon.

BHA for blackheads - a powerhouse!
This is a product I need to have in my collection at all times. I am combo/oily, acne-prone, and the only thing that clears out pores and blackheads at a deep level is BHA - specifically salicylic acid. I alternate this with my retinol and then take a night off. Together, those are a power combo in keeping my blackheads and pores clear and smooth. It also lasts forever! You can see I have this in the older packaging and I still have a bit of product left. I tip the bottle over and disperse some on a cotton pad, then pat where needed. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator

How I Repaired my Combination Skin
I currently have very combination skin; my cheeks are dry while my T-zone is oily. I get blackheads, clogged pores, pustules, and deep cysts every now and then; I really struggled with not popping them, leaving me with lots of scarring. But the one method I used to repair my skin barrier is this: exfoliation. One of the most important products I have used is The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. I discovered this product after seeing raving reviews all over the internet, and I decided I had to try it! I’ve only been using it for a month or two, but my skin has completely transformed. The texture is very smooth, and although the color is daunting, it leaves no stains whatsoever. It’s also different from most exfoliators because it’s a chemical exfoliator rather than a motor one, removing the dead skin cells without any harsh scrubbing motions. It kind of smells like fruity chlorine, which isn’t super pleasant, but you get used to it after a couple of minutes. It also tingles and burns slightly, but it’s not unbearable. After using this product my skin feels extremely soft and a little bit irritated, but the redness subsides in about 30 minutes. The Isagenix Rejuvity® Bamboo Exfoliating Polish makes my skin feel like a baby’s bottom! I have used this product for years with great results after discovering it through an ambassador; it refreshes the complexion by removing dead skin cells, and it’s also paraben-free! The paste is just gritty enough to get a deep exfoliation but not so gritty that it hurts. There is little to no scent, and my skin feels SO SMOOTH after using. Homemade baking soda scrub: this homemade scrub is so easy to make and works wonders on acne-prone skin! I’ve used this for years as a family cult-classic. Simply shake a little bit of baking soda into your palm and place a couple of drops of water to make a paste. Scrub your face in circular motions for 30-60 seconds, and voila! This paste kills bacteria and removes dead skin cells without any extreme irritation, but my skin may feel a little burning during the exfoliation process. After use, my skin is a little bit raw from scrubbing, so I only use this method 1-2 times a month. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

My skincare routine for glowing skin ✨
Skin type: combinations, acne-prone. Skin concern: dull skin. Following a beauty routine has its benefits, keeping the skin clean and hydrated makes the skin always look healthy. To minimize the appearance of pores, prevent wrinkles and decrease fine lines I use VIVIER - Retinol 1% Night Complex its main ingredients are 1% pure retinol, vitamin C, vitamin E and shea butter. It’s well known that retinol promotes cell renewal and increases collagen production, making the skin appear firmer and healthier. To keep dark spots out, I use VIVIER - Serum 10 , it contains 100% pure L-ascorbic acid, one of the best formulations on the market due to its stability. Helps reduce signs of environmental damage (fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and tone). It’s an excellent ingredient to add to your beauty routine. I try to exfoliate my face 1-2 times a week with ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub its main ingredients are sea kelp and french green clay, after using it my my face feels clean and fresh OR HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub a gentle exfoliating scrub, its main ingredients are papaya and pineapple enzymes, BHAs and AHAs. It’s really a gentle exfoliant, it doesn't irritate and leaves my skin clean, smooth and full of glow. Added an ideal toner to brighten dull skin tone like GEORGETTE KLINGER - Vitamin C Toner , helps control excess oil, purifies deep inside pores, calms redness and fades dark spots. Its main ingredients are kakadu plum (source of vitamin C), aloe, witch hazel, watercress and elderflower. I have been using this toner for 20 days and I love the results, eliminate redness and reduce dark spots, my skin looks cleaner, brighter and healthier. In the morning, I applied GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream , a lightweight moisturizer that hydrates and calms the skin. It’s ideal for combination skin, leaves my skin feeling hydrated and glowy without leaving it greasy and smells delicious. Masks are an excellent treatment to help with your skincare concerns. I have millions of masks, I use one that I feel is best for me at the moment. ▪️If my skin needs hydration - SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask ▪️If I need something stronger - The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ▪️If my skin feels dry or dull - SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask ▪️If I need to control excess oil -NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser Sunscreen is the most important part of any beauty routine, since it prevents damage caused by UVB / UVA rays. One of my favorites is Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 , it leaves a subtle glow that makes you not look tired, in addition to leaving the skin very soft and hydrated. Gentle reminder: don't forget to drink water, staying hydrated is very important for healthy looking skin, sleeping well is also important as it helps the normal renewal and exfoliation of the skin.

FAB toner pads for oil control
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads are great for applying on your t-zone to keep that area’s oil production under control. this product is a daily treatment pad that helps brighten, tone, and gently exfoliate. the bottle comes with presoaked rounds, which makes it super easy and efficient! i’ve used these products for 3 weeks and love to apply them to my t-zone in the morning to keep the oiliness under control. I have combination skin, so my t-zone is definitely oily & has over active sebum production. these pads help keep that area toned, which is great for my skin! i’ve noticed a huge improvement in how oily my skin looks in my t-zone over the past few weeks. I would recommend this product to those with oily or combination skin! The price is great at $32 for 60 pads, making it super affordable compared to others on the market. i give this product 4/5 stars, because while i do like it, there are other facial pads i like more. The facial pads i prefer are more expensive, so this is a great options for babes on a budget.

How Many Trending Ingredients Do You Use?
It’s a rainy day and that always gets me in the mood for a little skincare research. 🙃 I was looking for new products to add to my routine and I always look for new ingredients to pause the signs of ageing. ⛔️ I have combination skin. 🧚♀️ The #1 trending ingredient is CBD oil. Cannabis 🌱 has been a hot topic for quite some time now, and recently, discussion reports show that the controversial ingredient can benefit the skin. Making skin smoother and softer. Keep in mind that products formulated with CBD oil will not give you a ‘high’ because they do not contain THC. I’m using FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting Cleanser 🧚♀️ #2 PHAS: Polyhydroxy Acids are a new group of hydroxy acids or new generation AHAs. Similar to AHAs and BHAs, PHAs are chemical exfoliators that help slough away dead cells in an effort to promote even radiant skin. I own The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionbut I’m too afraid to use it. I’m looking for PHAS! 🧚♀️ #3 Glycolic Acid: Alpha Hydroxy Acids, a class of chemical compounds that can be either naturally occurring or synthetic. Glycolic Acid is plant 🌱 derived and comes from sugar cane. AHAs offer chemical exfoliation as an alternative to manual exfoliation, dissolving the bonds between skin cells to allow the removal of dead cells for a smoother skin surface. 🧚♀️ #4 Retinol: Retinol has been around forever. But that doesn’t change the fact that people are still swearing by its anti-ageing benefits. My night cream 😉 🧚♀️ #5 Tea Tree Oil for acne sufferers. I have combination skin and don’t suffer from acne 🤞🏽but I use products for acne prone skin. 😉 🧚♀️ #6 For sensitive skin, Bakuchiol: Its been said that Bakuchiol is the new retinol, both significantly decreased wrinkle surface area and hyperpigmentation although retinol can be a strong ingredient causing scaling or stinging. The benefits of bakuchiol are the same as retinol but without the side effects. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 🧚♀️ #7 My favourite Vitamin C 🍊 C can help free radical damage to the skin’s surface. Free radicals are unstable molecules induced by the environment, they impact on premature aging, visible fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and more. Before leaving home, I apply a vitamin C serum along with broad-spectrum sunscreen for protection against harmful free radicals and to help improve my skins radiance. 😄 Hope you found the info useful and leave me a comment if you have any questions. 😊 Jade

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
