How to treat closed comedones! You only need one product
I've been shocked with how good my skin has been to me since I began using these. I don't always use them, but if I didn't get to wash my face soon after working out, or fell asleep with makeup on, I'll use one of these the next time I wash my face, along with any time I feel a pimple forming under my skin, and in the days leading up to my period, when I typically get comedones all over my chin. The pad is plenty moist it does not dry out before I am done wiping my entire face a few times. This last month, I did not even get a single pimple actually form, because they were all killed by this while they were still under my skin. I also appreciate the aloe, because my skin is fairly sensitive, and I wouldn't want trying this to actually make it worse and inflamed.

Closed comedones breakout
BACKSTORY: A few weeks ago I had no idea what was going on because my skin has never broken out before! I’ve practically had pretty clear skin all of my life. WHAT HAPPENED?? : I’m 22 now and I tried out oil cleansing to clear out my black heads... worst. mistake. of my life. It completely broke me out into tiny little bumps that were skin colored and it was gross genuinely gross. When I would wash my face or run my fingers on my face it was bumpy practically everywhere. Specifically my t zone forehand was minimal, cheeks around my nose, around my mouth and chin. My skin was super textured everywhere. Then BOOM!!! 💥 my face exploded into a ton of pimples one after the other it seemed like it was never going to get better. One would heal and 3 new ones would pop up. I tried everything underneath the sun. I had many breakdowns and breakouts! My skin is finally getting better and could not be more thankful!!!! WHAT BROKE ME OUT: DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil and Lip Cream Gift Set - This is really just is not for everyone. ROUTINE: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin - The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I find it drying but it’s been helping a lot!! #Dr. Eddie’s - Happy Cappy[products]#[FiveStars] - This contains zinc pyrthione which helps so much with acne, closed comedones, fungal acne and it’s a shampoo for babies so i found it to be really gentle on the skin CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 - again I didn’t find it to be super moisturizing, but it’s okay I need to find something non comedogenic that will help my stay hydrated. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • MY SKIN TYPE: I stripped down to the basics and just for reference I have comboish skin (oilier T zone, dry/normal everywhere else) although lately it’s been more dry since I started moisturizing which is odd but really I need to find a better moisturizer. **** These pictures were taken 6 days apart **** 📷 September 9th - September 15th I hope someone finds this helpful ❤️ if they have experienced an oil cleansing disaster like I did

Bye! Blackheads And Closed Comedones! Thank Goodness For...
I have combination-oily skin. Blackheads, pimples and other types of acne are common for people with combo-oily/oily skin. If we don’t treat our oily skin, pores can become clogged and enlarged, and dead skin cells may accumulate, especially in summer. Today I'd like to share a skincare combo that helps remove blackheads, excess oils and decongest pores. 100% recommend for people with oily skin! MARIO BADESCU - Silver Powder The Silver Powder is known for its black and whitehead removing ability and it is the mildest blackhead remover product I've ever used. Unlike other products which attempt to ‘pull’ blackheads out from pores, Mario Badescu Silver Powder soaks up the oil and debris that cause blackheads in order to eliminate them. Ingredients like Kaolin and Zinc Oxide help purify pores and remove impurities to reveal skin that appears clearer and more refined. How to use: -Mix a little toner with some silver powder and spread a thick layer on your nose. -After 15 minutes, wash it off with warm water. -Use a blackhead remover or a cotton swab to gently scrape off remnants from any whiteheads/blackheads. -Apply a toner or a mask to shrink pores. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Price: £6.80 or $8.70 for 240 ml. Glycolic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). The ingredient provides a nice mild exfoliation as it breaks down the outermost layer of dead skin and allows it to penetrate deeply and easily. So I bought this for removing the closed comedones on my forehead. After using this babe for two weeks straight, the closed comedones on my forehead have disappeared and my T-zone has become less oily too. I also noticed more even-toned skin and the dullness went away. How to use: -Use it 3 to 5 times a week after showering and cleansing at night -Double cleanse by pouring it onto a cotton pad and wipe your face -Use a cotton swab to dab it on areas with bumps and blackheads Tips: -Avoid using it around your eyes and on areas of red and swollen acne. -Avoid using other follow-up skincare products which contain acids, nicotinamide, and vitamin C. -Avoid using it as a toner mask as it may cause irritation! -Avoid using it in the morning and don't forget to apply sunscreen!

Help please! Closed comedones!
I’ve had these closed comedones on my chin & jawline for about 2 years and nothing seems to get rid of them! I’m desperate to find a product/solution to get rid of them and prevent future ones! I’ve seen my dermatologist several times to get a solution too. Last September I tried the Paulas Choice 2% BHA for several months and that did not work for my skin. It didn’t fix my comedones & it made my skin so dry & EXTREMELY flaky. I stopped using that in December. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Ive been using the Sephora clear skin days serum since January, which is a BHA with hyaluronic acid, and it seems to work really well for inflammatory acne and doesn’t dry my skin out but it doesn’t get rid of these closed comedones. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear Skin Days by Clarifying Serum Also, I tried out the ordinary AHA/BHA back in April and I use that once a week. I like it for inflammatory acne, but again, it doesn’t get rid of these bumps. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I went to my dermatologist again in June & she gave me some salicylic acid pads (ZO oil control pads) to use which I’m still trying to determine if they’ve helped at all. They’re a bit drying and I haven’t seen much progress as I would’ve liked to after 2 months. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Oil Control Pads Acne Treatment I have sensitive dry/combo skin. A lot of products are too drying / powerful for my sensitive skin. Has anyone found a product/ingredient/solution that will get rid of these comedones? They make me so self conscious. I’m looking for a product to get rid of them but is also safe for my sensitive skin & won’t dry me out. Also, I’m open to suggestions for a new moisturizer.. I currently use the Cerave moisturizing cream but I know that has some comedogenic components in it. I would greatly appreciate any advice!!!

Say Goodbye to Closed Comedones 🖐
Closed comedones look like white or flesh colored bumps found underneath the surface of the skin but large enough that you can see them. They look like almost pimples but are unpoppable. If you try to pop it, chances are you will irritate your skin, bacteria can get inside and it can develop into a poppable zit. Without any intervention, they can last for months or even years. 😭😭It’s a ticking time bomb that can form into a pimple breakout or worse huge cystic acne. They form from a mix of oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria that builds up and plugs a hair follicle. Closed comedones on your cheek area are caused by skin care or beauty products that are blocking your pores. In the chin area, it can be caused by hormonal changes. If it’s in the forehead line the skin could be irritated by an oil based ingredient in your hair products. Luckily there’s something we can do about closed comedones to prevent or treat them. 🚨 TREATMENT 1. Only use non-comedogenic products. Skincare and yes, make up too! 2. Use gentle exfoliants like glycolic acid or salicylic acid. 3. Use benzoyl peroxide - very effective against acne. 4. Use a retinoid to help speed up the cell turnover process. 5. See a dermatologist or esthetician for a facial extraction. 🚨ADVICE 1. Remember that closed comedones take time so be patient. You may not see results right away and it’s more of a long term thing. 2. Stick to your skincare routine or review every product. Do your homework and look up the ingredients. It’s important to know what you’re applying! 🚨PRODUCTS & REVIEW 1. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I’m currently using Paula’s Choice in my skincare routine for PM. I dab some on a fresh cotton pad and apply all over my face. I used to apply it daily but it would dry me out too much so I use it every other day. It definitely works overtime and I’ve seen results. Smaller closed comedones have either disappeared or are on their way. The only thing I don’t like about it is the smell. It smells like gasoline to me. 😖 2. pixi - Glow Tonic On days I’m not using Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliator, I use the Pixi Glow Tonic. It’s 5% Glycolic so its a light exfoliator. Some people achieve results mixing AHA + BHA together but for me, alternating works best for my sensitive skin. Pour some out on a cotton pad and apply on your face after your face wash. 3. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This is a great face mask from The Ordinary. I love the ingredients they use because they only use what isn’t harmful to your skin. At night, on a dry face I apply evenly to my face and neck. I only use this once a month right now because I only purchased it recently. Softly introduce this in your skin care routine because it is STRONG! Hope these 3 products help you on your skincare journey as much as they’ve helped me. Thanks for reading! 🧘♀️
