Routine Review and Progress!
Hi y’all! So I’ve been suffering from adult acne for a couple of years now and I am finally starting to learn more about my skin type and how to properly take care of it. I’ve recently discovered my YouTube lifesavers Cassandra, Hyram, and James Welsh and I’ve learned a ton from them. But I wanted to post here and get feedback from you all, and just share it in case anyone has similar problems to what I’ve had! I have combo but more dry, acne prone skin btw AM: CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser I just recently started using this cleanser and use it in the morning and at night. Because my skin is on the drier side I’m thinking of buying CeraVe’s Hydrating Facial cleanser for the mornings and saving this one for the PM. That aside, I think this cleanser has been super helpful in reducing pore size and containing breakouts CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin This works well for my drier skin type, but can sometimes feel tacky and like it’s not absorbing into my skin. Neutrogena - Sheer Zinc Face Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 or CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 PM: CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution When I originally bought this I had also gotten a bunch of other products from TO and overloaded my face so I didn’t really react well to it. I just recently reincorporated it into my routine and use it 2-3x a week. The morning after I use this I always see a big difference in my pores and texture. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Hopped on this train and so happy I did. I use this once a week or once every two weeks and think that it leaves my skin feeling renewed and my scars faded. The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion This is my favorite thing in the world and has helped fade my acne scars so much! I use this 2x a week because it can be pretty intense but I’ve been so happy with the results so far! CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin Products on the way: The Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder Reacted kind of poorly to their serum because I think the zinc was irritating my skin. I want to love niacinamide and get its benefits so hoping this works for me. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Have high hopes for this! The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I was using TO’s squalane oil but think it’s been breaking me out a bit so I thought I would change it up! Looking for a cleansing balm or oil in case I need to double cleanse! I would love to hear your thoughts!!

MY PORES ARE SHRINKING😱
(please ignore how gross my face looks lols) You might not be able to tell up close, but if you were to compare the before picture to the after picture, my pores appear MUCH smaller and tighter. Since you can’t tell in the pictures, rely on the cherie skin evaluation that says my pores went from huge to average size! I’ve had HUGE pores and my skin is very sensitive and prone to acne. My skin was also starting to face some blackheads and whiteheads, so I really wanted to try a salicylic acid product that would cleanse my pores and also help tighten them. I know it’s said to be unlikely/impossible to change the size of your pores; however, PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator is not from this earth!! I have found my HOLY GRAIL product!🤩 I’d heard so much about this product and it LIVES up to hype y’all!! I have only been using this product for about 3 weeks, 4-5 times a week during my night routine and I already see such amazing results. I don’t even use it daily and my pores are already shrinking! Compared to now, my pores used to be so LOOSE and not ironically, porous. They seriously look so much smaller and tighter now. I am so so so happy with it! The product itself is quite thin and doesn’t feel sticky or tingly on my skin. Very easy application and fits into my skincare routine without any disruption. No uncomfortable smells, sensations or textures whatsoever. This product SHOWS results and it is not very expensive either. I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who wants to shrink their pores, has acne or blackheads. It is not too expensive and definitely worth trying out once!!

blackheads? large pores? this is for YOU
COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid I received this product from the cherie best post leaderboard and I am so happy that this was the prize !! I have oily skin with large pores and blackheads all in my t zone. I have tried so many products, and although I have only been using this for a few days, I have high hopes and have already seen some results. ingredients willow bark water (controls oil and redness) betaine salicylate (fights bacteria and cleans clogged pores) niacinamide (brightens skin and improves appearance of pores) what this product claims to do gentle exfoliates dead skin cells refines the look of enlarged pores keeps pores clean of impurities my experience this is definitely a first impressions post since i’ve only used this product a few times, BUT, I am seeing progress !!! whenever I use this product, my pores look cleaner (almost a matte look) and my skin feels softer. this product is a BHA (beta hydroxy acid), so it is oil soluble and works beneath the skin to target impurities. a little definitely goes a long way !! it has a water like consistency and one pump can easily cover my whole face. it doesn’t sting or irritate my skin either! on the box, it says to start using it once a week and then increase to 2-3 times a week as you feel needed. however, i’ve been using it both day and night most days because this product is not only super gentle, but my skin is also very used to BHA’s. I am so excited to see how this product will continue to work in the future and I will definitely post another update on how it’s been working for me. ULTA- $24 for 3.38oz

My Not-So-Ordinary The Ordinary Skin Journey
i'm fairly new to the skincare community since the whole pandemic started. i started watching these popular skincare junkies on youtube like cassandra bankson, hyram, james welsh, and liah yoo to name a few. it only took me a couple of videos to realize that my whole skincare routine is trash 🗑 my whole life. and i am a clown 🤡 for not reading the ingredients on the shit that i purchase. (ain't nobody got time for that) most of us are only deceived by what's on the front labels that we don't turn and learn the products that we use daily. i'm thankful for these youtubers who share their knowledge and honest reviews about different skincare products. tbh, they made our lives easier. i have a combination skin. my t-zone is oily and my cheeks are dry. i get breakouts often in my chin area, i hate my blackheads and sebaceous filaments. i tend to squeeze them quite often which made my pores bigger. (eeww 🤮) never again though! i'm the kind of person who would try different kinds of brands and if i don't see any difference in a week or two, i jump onto the next one. 🤡 here is my old routine: • for cleansing, i use the neutrogena oil-free acne face wash daily scrub (it smells like acetone. i don't even know why i put up with that! 🤮) i don't recommend at all! i broke up with this product. • i use this sponsored product from arrenbio. (it's a korean skincare brand) it's a toner that has an algae extract that's from the active volcanoes of napoli, italy. i was impressed with the ingredient list but the downside was the fragrance. it was kinda strong. i actually liked it bc my skin absorbed it right away. • after applying toner, i use a collagen moisturizer from esfolio (korean brand) during the day. and THAT'S IT! i don't even apply sunscreen because i breakout! 😭 + i hate the white cast! and during the night the same routine during the day except for using esfolio, i use pixi retinol overnight oil instead and i love it. my skin looks glowing the next morning and it is well-hydrated! ✨👁👄👁✨ • for exfoliation i use ST. IVES SMOOTH OATMEAL SCRUB & MASK. ngl, i actually liked this product. (i use it as my foot scrub now though 👣) i just felt that after exfoliating with this product my skin felt nice and clean 🤣 - after watching several reviews and videos about the ordinary, i've decided to be loyal to their products. ✨👁👄👁✨ VS my current routine: squalene cleanser (am & pm) i love it. it's gentle but my skin feels clean and supple soft after 😍 glycolic toner (pm) i really think this one helped me minimize my pores 😭 i swear. 💕 niacinamide + zinc (am & pm) it reduces redness around my nose area. or when i breakout this helps me a lot. lactic acid aha + bha solution (once a week only) granactive retinoid in squalene (pm) anti aging solution. moisturizing factors + HA (after all the serums) the BUFFET is my holy grail! ✨👁👄👁✨ it gives me that glowing, dewy, well-hydrated skin look. 🥰 purito spf unscented (the BEST ever!)
Banila Co Clean It Zero Pore Clarifying Review
First I want to start off by saying thank you for the positive feedback on my previous post. It means the world to me. I have been eying BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Pore Clarifying since it first came out. When I saw “Pore Clarifying” in the product title I never clicked “add to wishlist” so fast in my life! Who can relate to me... anyone? I recently picked it up and tried it with my skincare routine. I hope you enjoy my review! Skin type- Oily, Acne, Blackheads, Large Pores that easily get clogged. 💚Product Description💚 A hypoallergenic cleansing balm that transforms into a milky texture once applied with water. It dissolves makeup and washes away any impurities without stripping your skins essential oils. It has 𝗧𝗿𝗶 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 which contains AHA, BHA, and LHA to mildly remove dead skin cells inside your pores. You get added hydration to nourish your pores thanks to 𝗝𝗼𝗷𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗢𝗶𝗹. 𝗧𝗲𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗢𝗶𝗹 helps soothe your skin. 💚Key Ingredients💚 𝗝𝗼𝗷𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗢𝗶𝗹 𝟮%- A natural oil packed full of antioxidants and fatty acids that help strengthen and repair your skin. This oil has a similar texture to our natural oils so it works really well at giving you these nutrients in your skin. Since it’s similar, it works well to help enter the pores to clear out excess oil, dirt, and makeup. 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗟𝗛𝗔)- Its a derivative of regular Salicylic Acid but enters the skin slower. This allows for more surface oils or clogged pores to be exfoliated and broken down before entering your pores. This Acid is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 (𝗕𝗛𝗔)- AKA acne worst enemy. This chemical exfoliant helps to clear your acne and pesky blackheads, improve the appearance of your pores, and regulate your oil production. This is safe for all skin types. 𝗧𝗲𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲- A natural plant extract that helps to kill bacteria and gross fungus. This is helpful in killing acne causing bacteria. 𝗕𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁- A natural antioxidant which helps soothe irritated skin. 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁- A natural antioxidant that helps heal and soothe your skin. 𝗔𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁- A fruit extract full of antioxidants, vitamin c, Beta Carotene, and hydrating properties. This is good for protecting your skin from free radical damage. 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗳𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀. 💚Tips💚 Don’t use too much salicylic acid in your skincare routine. I paired this with my SOME BY MI - AHA.BHA.PHA 30 Days Miracle Acne Clear Foamand it dried my skin out. Use a gentle cleanser afterwards. 💚Is it Sarah Approved?💚 Yes, HOWEVER, a lot of my pores were still clogged. Use a gentle cleanser after this cleansing balm. I’m going to continue testing this product out and will come back once it’s emptied. Keep smiling and stay positive 🦄
