Clear nail polishes
I love doing a simple look with an accent. Adding a glitter top coat to one nail does just that for me 😍😍essie - Luxeffects Glitter Top Coat in shade “A Cut Above”. This is a clear nail polish with lots ld pink glitter “confetti” pieces. essie - Enamel Nail Polish in shade Ballet slippers- a translucent pale pink shade. This is a great pinky nude nail polish for fair-light skin tones. This is such an easy look to achieve- all I did was apply two coats of Ballet slippers to all my nails, except my ring finger- For that nail I applied one coat. The second coat was the glitter luxe top coat in “a cut above”. I followed up with essie - Gel.Setter Top Coat on all my nails to achieve that gel polish finish. This is also great because it helps your nails dry faster! The one thing I will say about the essie - Luxeffects Glitter Top Coat polish is that its hard to remove since all the glitter pieces are solid pieces that dont come off with acetone. They need to be scraped off with a nail scraper (a flat end) . Having a coat of nail polish underneath the glitter helps in the scraping process since you wont be directly scraping your nail.

Essie - Honest Nail Polish Review 🦋
Hello lovies! I am back with another nail polish review because I want to share with y’all my honest feedback on this essie - Enamel Nail Polish ! Let’s begin with the fact that the first time I came across this specific shade was YEARS ago! I have a spot in my town with a massive Essie collection and this color spoke to me. I ended up moving two years ago and misplaced tons of my nail polish collection 😕. Then, last year I had my grad school graduation where my department color was teal! So I bought Bikini So Teeny (review done as well) and it was fantastic, which then lead me to buy another Essie color... Mint Candy Apple! It’s been a year since I’ve had this baby in my collection and it’s still going strong! This Essie product retails for $8.99. Its a light pea minty green shade that would look fantastic on all skin tones 👏🏼! The texture of the color is light but very easy to build up to get a full coverage nail. I usually do 2-3 coats of nail polish before applying a top coat. I’ve never had a problem with an Essie brand nail polish brush and that makes for a nice smooth application 💅🏼. The amazing thing about Essie is that they have such a vast collection of various shades. You’ll find the shade you want - I can guarantee that for sure! I think it’s super easy to apply because the nail polish consistency isn’t too watery and it gives you the perfect consistency from bottle to nail. I’ve come across nail polished that are so watery they fall off the brush before I make it to my nail. It’s definitely not a sheer color and the color pay off is 100% amazing. It also has a shiny glossy finish to it where you could leave it just like that or use a top coat for extra shine. The brush is perfect in that additionally it does not leave streaks on the nail. When I apply a top coat on all 10 fingers, I go back and apply a second coat. I wait 10 mins and apply a third coat for extra coverage! And then 15 mins after that I apply a clear shiny top coat! I’m usually not in a hurry so I take my time to let them dry and haven’t done those neat ice cold water tricks! When I do my nails I watch an hour long show on my iPad and by the time the show is done so are my nails 👏🏼. Essie claims that this is a chip resistant formula and for the most part like 90% I agree with that statement. I usually find one or two nails with chips on them but it’s also the fingers I use for opening mail, picking off stickers, etc so I don’t blame the nail polish - it’s me hahaha! When I apply the nail polish I say it can last from 7-10 days before I see it looking off and no longer perfect! Since I am home now all the time I find myself constantly changing my nail color after 10 days and this shade is among my top three nail polish colors! This is a top notch nail polish color and I 100% recommend it to all of my friends and family! 👍🏼

Essie nail polish...yikes
I never ever paint my nails. I’m very impatient and I never get my nails to dry fully before I ruin them. And honestly, after using this polish, I think I’ll go back to not painting my nails. Pros I absolutely LOVE this color fast drying (if you do thin layers. I had to do 2 coats for the color you see in the picture) Cons This polish lasted less than 24 hours and its chipping like crazy you have to do 2 layers or else it looks very streaky and uneven I’m really upset with how this polish came out. I love the color but it barely lasted a full day before chipping off like crazy. Definitely would recommend using a good top coat with this one!

Nail Polish for Fall
I’m usually a pink nails kind of girl, but with the seasons changing I decided to find a more neutral shade to create a fall look! This nude polish goes with everything and is perfect for any Autumn outfit. My favorite thing about Essie polishes are how great the quality of their formulas are. This polish lasts for atleast a week before chipping which is phenomenal got an at-home manicure. I didn’t even use a top coat, and I think if I did it may last for two weeks. Essie nail polish always has a natural shine and creates a professional appearance. I recommend applying three coats to get a darker look. It doesn’t have a very dense opacity, so I think three coats of this particular polish is the magic number. The applicator is a small flat brush and is very simple to use. It also comes off very easily with regular nail polish remover. I found this product at Target, but you can find it very easily online it at many different beauty stores! I absolutely adore this color and quality of this nail polish. It costs $9! essie - Fun for Fall Collection Nail Polish

I love my cute jelly nail!! Wanna get the same?💅💅💅
When it comes to nail trends, the most Instagrammed ones usually cost an arm and a leg to get professionally done (like my last $150 trip to the salon for glitter ombre nails). However, I’m happy to report that I’ve found an easy and cost-effective way to create summer nail trend that we all know and love—jelly nails. After all, summer isn’t over just yet. There’s still a month of “scorching heat one day, torrential downpour the next” weather to look forward to. Spoiler alert: you won’t need much more than polish that you already own and a trip to your local dollar store. In case you aren’t that familiar with jelly nails, I’ll explain. Anyone born in the ’90s (or with access to Google) have worn or at least seen jelly sandals—the warm-weather essential available in the prettiest, vibrant, translucent shades. Honestly, your childhood wasn’t complete without them. Fast forward to today where the trend is back and your nails are joining in on the action. Similar to the nostalgic sandals, jelly nails are a game-changing way to play with sheer color and a little texture. In hopes of saving some money while getting our nails all the way together, I found an easy way to create them at home without breaking bank. What you’ll need Your favorite nail polish A clear, non-matte polish A mixing plate/bowl/empty nail polish container Clear nail tips and clear nail glue (optional) Step 1: Start with clean and prepped nails Jelly nails are see-through, so your natural nails need to be as clean as possible. If you want press-on and opt for clear nail tips, you still need clean natural nails so they better adhere. Also, use a clear nail glue (anything tinted may mess up the jelly effect). Step 2: Choose your polishes and apply a clear base coat The colors you choose are totally up to you. However, through trial and error, I learn that really bright polishes make the best jelly nail polishes.Adding a clear base is optional, however, I highly suggest doing if you’re applying the jelly polish directly to your natural nails, as it will keep your nail beds from yellowing. Step 3: Mix your colored and clear polish This is the most important step and the most tricky. You have to get the portions right to ensure that your nail color is sheer enough to get the jelly nail look. I used a ratio of about 2:1, clear polish to colored. Step 4: Apply the mixed polish in thin layers Depending on the proportions that you used for your mix, the number of layers will vary. The most important thing is to make sure each layer is thin. Because the jelly polish is sheer, it’s not as forgiving as an opaque polish. Applying thin layers helps you avoid streaks and bubbles. I applied mine with the same brush that I used to mix polish. Step 5: Let your nails air-dry for a few minutes Of course, we’re going to apply a top coat, but to avoid disrupting the jelly polish, it’s best to let it air-dry a bit before moving further. Step 6: Apply a high shine top coat Jelly nails are nothing without a lot of shine. To seal in your polish and ensure brightness, apply a high shine topcoat. Step 6: Flaunt your jelly! I never thought I’d enjoy sheer polish so much but honestly, it’s a ’90s vibe that I’m all the way here for. If you’re into nail experiments like I am, I would recommend investing in an LED lamp for gel polish. While this DIY jelly nail polish works on natural nails with traditional polish, clear tips cured under a gel lamp really make the colors pop. The next time I do jelly nails, I’m definitely going that route for a longer-lasting manicure.
Have you experienced broken nails? I have hacks to fix it! Only 5 min!
I believe that most of us have experienced unfortunate accident result in the breaking, tearing or splitting of a nail. Broken nails can be both painful and unattractive, and while you may think your only option is to cut the nail back to the quick, there's actually a nifty little beauty hack you can try, which takes less than 5 minutes to put your nail back together. What you will need: A teabag, emptied of tea leaves Clear nail polish Scissors A nail file Step #1 Using the scissors, cut out a small rectangle of fabric from the tea bag that is long enough to cover almost the whole length of your nail, and wide enough to reach both sides of the nail. Step #2 Push the broken part of your nail back into place as much as is possible, then coat the whole nail in one layer of clear nail polish. While the polish is still wet, lay the rectangle of teabag fabric over your nail, smoothing it out against the polish to enhance it adheres to both the broken part of the nail, and the the rest of your nail. Step #3 Apply another coat of clear nail polish over the whole nail and the teabag fabric. Wait for it to dry. Step #4 Us the nail file to file away the excess fabric from the tip of your nail. Step #5 The next step is the regular manicure process and apply your favorite nail polish. In order to avoid broken nails, I'd like to recommend a curticle oil to you guys which is my recent favorite! It's L'OCCITANE - Shea Nail And Cuticle Oil.It's about $20. THIS IS AMAZING. So worth the price, the shea butter infusion in the product is so refreshing to your nails and cuticles. It goes on greasy, but drys to a hand-cream like type of moisturized finish. I wear a lot of press-on nails when I get in drag, and this cuticle oil keeps my nails healthy and refreshed after the constant wear and tear.
