Beauty products for uneven skin texture
Pore Minimizing BHA serum!
The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Solution This is the Ordinary’s 2% Salicylic Acid Serum. This product works best for oily to dry skin. It contains salicylic acid and witch hazel to help treat acne and blemishes as well as reduce uneven texture and the appearance of pores. The brand recommends patch testing before using and wearing sunscreen after use since the product can be quite strong for sensitive skin types. The texture of this is similar to most serums with a sort of thin consistency that dries down fairly quickly. I will say that when I do rub this product into the skin it tends to sort of turn white and almost foam up, but nothing major really happens. Overall, I do like this product, I think that it has worked well with my skin and helping to reduce the look of pores as well as help to reduce acne. I find that with this product its best to slowly incorporate it into my routine rather than just going straight into applying it everyday. I also think that with this product, consistency is key to making it work. For the first few weeks, I didn’t notice much difference, but then I stopped breaking out as much and I’m pretty sure this is the secret. I think that this is a great product with it’s low price and it’s effectiveness for my skin. I would especially recommend this to someone who deals with more under the skin pimples like me.

Pore minimizing serum (chemical exfoliant)
This 12% AHA & 3% BHA chemical exfoliant is marketed as a lightweight serum to combat dullness, pores, acne, blemishes & fight uneven texture to achieve a glowing and smoother skin. It has a slightly thick but very lightweight consistency. I bought this product in the minis set with some of their bestselling facial oils/serums together to try out all of them before commiting to any single regular size, since they’re pretty pricey. I’ve been using it for about a month now and so far I really like it. It absorbs to the skin very well and does not just sit on top of the skin feeling greasy or messy. I love chemical exfoliation so I use it pretty often and I can tell there is a difference in my overall skin texture already. I would recommend it to people but only if you’re willing to splurge because at the price point of $54 for 30ml only, it is an expensive serum. Another thing to keep in mind is that this product has no unnatural preservatives so it will definitely go bad after its claimed shelf life. So you can’t really keep it forever like most other beauty/skincare products (we all know we are guilty of doing that!). And a little goes a long way with this, and with new products being released almost everyday in the beauty market, if you think you can commit to this for a long time then definitely get it. I rate it 4/5 because I think its very effective and I took out a star just because of its high price. HERBIVORE - Prism 5% Exfoliating Glow Potion

Bite Beauty's changemaker products are stunning! 😍
Bite Beauty has launched its foundation series! The packaging in morandi pink is so stunning! The three products introduced include the Changemaker Skin-Optimizing PrimerBITE - Changemaker Skin-Optimizing Primer, Changemaker Supercharged Micellar FoundationBITE - Changemaker Supercharged Micellar Foundation, and Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed PowderBITE - Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder. The primer is available in two formulas (one for normal to dry skin and one for normal to oily skin) whereas the foundation comes in 32 shades! The pressed powder is also available in eight shades. I bought the foundation in the shade L10 and pressed powder in the shade Light 1. The foundation is totally skin-like. Even when I apply two layers, it doesn't look cakey at all. Instead, it improves my uneven skin texture and also offers sheer coverage. This foundation is marketed to offer a moderate coverage. However, since I use a beauty blender, the coverage is lighter than expected but I think it will offer a fuller coverage if I use a brush instead.🤔 The pressed powder is also really thin and lightweight but there is nothing special about it. I recently especially prefer using tinted pressed powder for makeup finishing and contouring.😉

BEST NIACINAMIDE PRODUCT
PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster This serum aims to improve uneven skin tone and refine the appearance of pore size, skin texture, and fine lines. The texture is sheer and beautifully lightweight. The formula is to die for! I love all the ingredients (it has ascorbyl glucoside, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, ubiquinone, panthenol, and more!) I have been using this serum about four times a week alongside the Paula’s Choice Azelaic booster since mid July and my skin tone is much more even and my pore size looks smaller! I’m not kidding, there’s nothing more transformative than this serum other than my retinoids! Niacinamide is a star ingredient, of course, but this serum is just amazing and not like others. I used a bottle of the Ordinary’s niacin amide serum last December and I think it irritated my skin because of the zinc. Plus, that serum did not have the beneficial added ingredients like Paula’s Choice. I typically use this serum in the daytime before my moisturizer. It feels very nice in the summer on my oily skin and makes my skin radiant—I swear. This serum is kinda expensive compared to other serums on the market but I’m likely going to repurchase this because I think the results and ingredients are worth it.

Tatcha “The Deep Cleanse” Exfoliating Cleanser
Tatcha’s “The Deep Cleanse” Exfoliating Cleanser is an incredible gentle daily exfoliant for those who prefer a bit of physical exfoliation. It is a gel formula containing natural fruit enzymes suspended throughout that exfoliate and lift impurities. It’s a great cleanser for those with clogged or enlarged pores, uneven texture or oiliness. My one gripe about this product is I don’t like the way the product dispenses out — you have to untwist the cap and then you just have the hole in the top of the product to squeeze cleanser out of. But that’s a small inconvenience I’m willing to put aside! I’ve been using this cleanser for about two months now, I received it courtesy of Cherie and was so excited as it was not necessarily a product I would have picked out for myself but turned out to be a product that my skin really loves. I like it because it’s an oil-free gel formula that lathers into a creamy foam to remove dirt and impurities from the skin without drying out the skin. Amino acids derived from silk make this a gentle exfoliator suitable for even sensitive skin types. It uses ground fibers from the Japanese luffa fruit to help turn over dead skin cells and purify clogged pores while also conditioning and smoothing the skin. Additionally, Japanese wild rose tightens the appearance of pores to produce a more even skin texture and Japanese leopard lily helps to minimize excess oil. I really like this cleanser and I think it’s suitable for all and stands as a safe physical exfoliator due to the ground particles that make it gentle enough for regular use. I also think that the price ($38 for 5oz) is pretty fair considering it is coming from a luxury brand that uses proprietary Japanese-sourced ingredients you don’t see in a ton of other formulas. Again, the bottle I have a bit of an issue with but as for the product itself, I’d give it a 5/5, perhaps would dock it down to a 4.5/5 due to being a bit of a pain to use… and I can imagine it will only get more frustrating to use as less product is left in the bottle. I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for a gentle physical exfoliator/gentle cleanser who struggles with the size and appearance of their pores! I’d love to see a pump on this bottle to secure it’s rating as a 5/5, too!

WORTH THE $$$: SAVED MY TEXTURED/SCARRED SKIN
SKINCEUTICALS - Retexturing Activator Face Exfoliator -$82 Key ingredients: - Hyaluronic acid: plumps the skin to restore fine lines etc. - Amino acids: Anti-aging benefits - Glycolic acid: exfoliant; improves texture of the skin - Kombucha: promotes radiant and soft skin What it does: - Resurfaces and replenishes the skin by promoting exfoliation - Helps rid fine lines for a smoother appearance - Increases radiance Why I bought it: - I bought this product initially to help with unwanted, uneven textured skin left behind from acne scarring. Product details: - This serum is clear with no noticeable smell. It is not thick but also not thin. I do not find it sticky after being applied. How I use it: - I use a few drop of this serum in the morning before my heavier creams/serums. I apply it all over my face and even extend it down on to my neck. Results: - As far as scarring goes, this product has made a HUGE difference in the appearance of dark marks. It has evened out my skin texture noticeably but I think with continued use it can do more. I have noticed my skin tone to be more radiant as it claims. As far as fine lines go, I use other products for fine lines so I do not think it’s fair to give a review in that category. (I have been using this product for close to a year now) Would I repurchase/recommend? - If you are looking to fix textured skin left behind from scarring etc. I would say this product is for you. The price is a little on the high end but I have not found a product that can deliver the same results as this one did (if you have one, let me know.) For that reason I will be repurchasing. #CheriePartner
