At-Home Chemical Face Peels to Look Fresh and Gleaming
Chemical face peels reveal the fresh and gentle skin hiding behind the debris of dead skin cells. Take a look at some of the best at-home face peels to glow at your next event.
Face Peel@Home During Quarantine Glo Skin Beauty
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 My mom and I both used this at-home peel in a box by Glo Skin Beauty. It gave the slightest tingle when I applied which subsided after a few minutes. After 15 minutes I dabbed the exceeds peel with a tissue and left a small amount on the surface of my skin. This stays in through the night and gets washed off with a gentle cleanser the next morning (that’s included in the box). It took about 2 days, but my skin definitely peeled. When I washed it started to flake and dead skin pilled at the surface. It took another 2 days for that to stop. The result was very soft skin and the fine lines on my forehead were definitely reduced (thank goodness! I really want to get back to the derm soon for preventative Botox). I checked earlier and this box is now sold out... but I heard they are restocking and bringing it back ASAP. My mom is so excited to do this again soon. I will do it again, but will wait a bit since I have younger skin and don’t need as much cell turnover as my mom. It’s a great purchase!!!
Over-Exfoliated Skin: What To Do Next
Over-exfoliation has a plethora of symptoms, ranging from redness and inflammation, tightness of the skin, dryness and flakiness, irritation bumps, rashes, breakouts, and a stinging sensation. With the rise in popularity of at-home chemical exfoliation, it’s easier than ever before to take it a step too far. Everyone is trying out TikTok-famous products like The Ordinary’s AHA 30% and BHA 2% Peeling Solution without an understanding of how strong it really is. Chemical exfoliation is all the rage now, due to its ability to clear up acne, even out the skin tone, and give you a glowy look. But none of these things will happen if you don't exfoliate properly!
Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sakarno Babyfacial
The Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukarno Babyfacial is a pro-level, at home facial in a bottle that you can do in 20 minutes. Use this mask once a week (at most) and it’s recommended that you use it in conjunction with their Virgin Marika Luxury Facial Oil. How it works: Smart AHA and BHA ingredients slough off dead skin while antioxidants and oils hydrate new cells, and, once removed, your skin feels softer, cleaner, and looks brighter, clearer, and more evenly toned. It smooths texture while minimizing the look of pores, fine lines and wrinkles.

The Best At Home Facial
I was introduced to the Hanacure All-In-One Facial from my friend, Hila Karmand. She’s an amazing make-up artist and suggested I try it to deal with my hyperpigmentation and large pore issues. Not only did this facial deal with those issues, but it helped tighten and even out my skin’s texture. I love the way it makes my combination skin feels after I use it. I try to use this facial at least once every two weeks. The price of this facial may seem a lot for some ($29 for the starter single use and $110 for a facial set of 4), but I highly recommend it for those who want a youthful glow.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.2 DAYS AGO
