Vitamin C & Alpha Arbutin to Treat Dark Spots
Vitamin C & Alpha Arbutin to Treat Dark Spots
🍊I’m slowly making my way through The Ordinary’s Vitamin C products. I love love love TO’s alpha arbutin so the fact that it’s mixed with vitamin C, it’s close to being the perfect product. This product is 8% Ascorbic acid and 2% alpha arbutin. It’s water free which allows for the vitamin C & alpha arbutin to be stable (they’re unstable in water). To get technical, this means it’s an anhydrous solution :) The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% This is classified as a serum but does have an oily feel once applied to the skin (it IS oil-free). It takes maybe 10-15 seconds for it to absorb into the skin. It also has a scent to it which almost smells metallic to me? The Ingredients: Ascorbic acid: brightens the skin; helps with fine lines and other signs of aging Alpha arbutin: helps reduce the look of hyperpigmentation. With that being said, this product is ideal for anyone who is looking to: reduce dark spots, reduce fine lines & wrinkles, treat acne/blemish marks, provide an overall brightness to the skin This can be used in the AM or PM. While I didn’t notice any tingling or irritation, be sure to spot test — especially if you’re new to vitamin C. This product has a “moderate potency” according to Deciem :) Also, thanks to this product, I have noticed a change in some scarring on my leg from a pesky ingrown hair. With this product, less is more, especially since it has an oily feel to it. If your skin is oily, this may not be the best vitamin C to try; however, I think this is great if you have dry skin! Recommend this 100%. Retails for $10 CAD. PS Don’t forget to wear sunscreen when using vitamin C products 🧴☀️😎

My Acne Transformation (January 2020-July 2020)
My Acne Transformation (January 2020-July 2020)
I thought for my first post on here I would share how I was able to tackle my stubborn acne and scars. Skin Care Routine (morning & night) I exfoliate everyday with my Neutrogena cleanser. Exfoliating everyday isn’t a great idea for every skin type, but since I have so much dry skin to get rid of it works for me! Next, I go in with a gentle toner from Nivea with a cotton pad all over my face excluding my eyes. Then I take my Vichy mineral 89 (OMG, I LOVE this stuff) and gently dab it into my eye area with my ring finger. Seriously guys, this stuff is a bottle of magic. My dark circles were pretty much completely gone after 2 weeks of using it. Next, I go in with my 10% benzoyl peroxide and place small pea sized amounts on both cheeks and my forehead. Rub it in with your fingers. Then, I take my acne spot treatment from Neutrogena and place it on the same areas as the benzoyl peroxide. Rub it in all over. I do this because I have many acne scars all over my face. Lastly, I moisturize all over my face AND neck using my Neutrogena Facial Moisturizer. And that’s it! I can’t tell you guys how much this routine has helped me and my confidence. Aside from knowing which products I’ve used, I think it’s also important to know the other ways to achieve the skin you want. I think the most important tip (and maybe the most obvious one?) I can give you is never miss a day. If there’s anyone like me out there who sleeps in their makeup sometimes, trust me your skin will hate you for it. It will make it seem like progress isn’t happening, when really there is but you’re causing new breakouts making it seem like nothing is happening! Another tip I should probably mention is maybe ditch the makeup for a while. I know it might seem weird and uncomfortable walking around with a bare face. But even if you were able to minimize your makeup routine to just a concealer, mascara and brows, you are allowing your skin to breathe and soak up that sunlight! Speaking of sunlight, my final tip is go outside and enjoy the sun on your days off (with no makeup of course)! When I went camping last weekend, being outside for a whole 3 days and getting an excellent tan really helped hide the acne scars on my face. Seriously, they’re barely noticeable now. And I bet you won’t be seeing them again for a long time! To end this post, I really hope my tips and routine helps you guys out and thanks for reading! :) VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub equate - 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel Neutrogena - Facial Moisturizer

Hyram Approved✔️-The BEST Products for Oily Acne Skin💖
Hyram Approved✔️-The BEST Products for Oily Acne Skin💖
Almost all teens are puzzled by teen acne. It happens when an oily substance called sebum clogs pores.  There are a lot of factors that contribute to teen acne: Puberty, hormones, being athletic and outside, etc… Hyram has recommended some products to reduce the oiliness in the skin SERUM: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%($6): great ingredients of Niacinamide, super affordable, but always sold out>< BEAUTY BAY - Skinhit Soothing Serum ($6): better for oily skin than The Ordinary Niacinamide considering the weight, especially during the middle summer  íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serum($17): It is formulated with Centella Asiatica Extract, which helps to reduce the inflammation and sensitivity on your skin so much. Ps. It is so lightweight that good for both day and night use.  MOISTURIZER: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream($34): super lightweight, has blurring effect to the skin and won’t let you look greasy in super humidity. It contains Coconut Fruit Juice and Coconut Extract with NO coconut oil, which won’t clog the pores! íUNIK - Centella Calming Gel Cream($7): lightweight with Niacinamide SOME BY MI - AHA. BHA. PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream($15):  very lightweight consistency but you could still get some exfoliation.  ROVECTIN - Lotus Water Cream($20): The first ingredient is Nelumbo Nucifera Extract, which is good for skin soothing and anti-aging. Besides, it is super lightweight and you can use it all summer.  SUNSCREEN: dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++($25): super lightweight and could be quickly absorbed by skin, you will never feel greasy with it FIRST AID BEAUTY - Weightless Liquid Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30($32): leave the skin a matte finish, feel like a very light tint moisturizer. Fragrance free and great for sensitive skin. PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block ($19): mineral sunscreen, EXTREMELY lightweight, feels like water on the skin tarte - Guard Mineral Powder Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30($24): Please go with another sunscreen in order to realize its full protection on skin. Instead of adding layers of textured sunscreen, the powder, which comes with a brush, will absorb all the excess oil on your skin Here is the link to Hyram's original video on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l330tzUoR_I Have anyone tried these products before? With patience, Differin worked for me!
With patience, Differin worked for me!
I’ve always been skeptical of the products that cause purging, but while in quarantine I decided to give Differin a shot! My skin was congested, breakouts are always popping up, and they were painful. I’ve always been the kind of person to take care of my skin, but I couldn’t manage to get rid of my team for breakouts and the terrible texture on my cheeks and jawline. So, I gave Differin a try. - At first, my skin definitely was dry and irritated because of the product, but I made sure to moisturize well. I tried not to put any make up on and just let my skin do its thing. It’s also important to not pick at your face, which I am SO guilty of doing. - I know everyone’s skin is different, but it only took about a month for it to clear up! I just had another flare up but I’m not sure if it’s stressed related bc #unemployedgrad but this really helped me! Just stay consistent and you’ll see results quickly! 😇

My esthetician highly recommended this for acne
My esthetician highly recommended this for acne
Have you noticed that after every facial, they always end with an LED light? That’s because they can really do wonders for your skin! A while ago I asked my esthetician what was 1 thing I could add to my routine to be free of stubborn acne? And she said an LED light. What is LED? LED light started as a NASA project to help grow food and heal wounds in space. Isn’t that amazing? LED stands for light emitting diode and work because different colors have different wave lengths that penetrate your skin and help target different concerns. They also DO NOT contain UV rays making them safe for everyday use. I just got this one by DMH Aesthetics from Poosh - 4 stars so far because I still have yet to see an improvement! Truthfully I got it because it was affordable($190) compared to some other masks ($400 ahem Dr Dennis Gross). LED works over time and after a series of treatments. Patience is key! This particular mask says to use it for 21 days straight for 15 minutes to see a difference. If you want really good info on all the lights and what they do, check out @MatthewBorstpost on LED lights! Have you tried an LED mask? Would you?
