my skin ups and downs
my skin ups and downs
i have acne! people have imperfect skin, and I am one of those normal people. my skin fluctuates pic one: 1 year difference pic 2: my skin a week ago pic 3: my skin today 🌊 My skin type Oily & combination but mostly oily 🌊 My acne type hormonal, nodules, pustules, and papules 🌊 what i do I get bad breakouts when I have my period, like everyone else! i eliminate scarring and prevent acne using sonia kashuk - Microneedle Facial Roller this is really my go to holy grail of everything — ice pick scars are gone, skin turnover is fast, and my face is smooth The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution this is the product to lighten scars and reduce the chances of getting acne DERMA•E - Vitamin C Concentrated Serum this product begins against sun damage age and really helps with lightning scars. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel i use prescription version of this adapalene gel and it is a game changer. And lifesaver! I would say that this combined with my micro needle roller are the two big acne preventer‘s

Hello friends! I shared my Drunk Elephant transformation on Instagram over a year ago and I thought I should share it here ❤️ In short, my face was covered in horrible cystic acne. I tried out TLC Framboos, Lala Retro and B Hydra and my life was forever changed. I was even featured on the Drunk Elephant Instagram and then their new Bare With Us kit for my before and after photo! I have included my original photo plus a photo of my skin then and now too. I still can’t believe how far I have come. I could cry. Good skincare makes all the difference. Here’s my original blurb from early lady year: “It’s pretty crazy what a year can do! I used to look like the girl on the left and had self esteem issues and did everything I could to cover up those large painful red bumps. And now, with proper skincare, I can embrace the skin I am in and spend a whole day (or two) without a stitch of makeup and still love myself 💕💕 thank you to @drunkelephant #TLCFramboos for resurfacing my skin and to #LalaRetro and #BHydra for hydrating my parched skin and of course to #CTango for brightening up my dark undereyes. I feel like a whole new person with this boost of confidence. I’m finally so happy in the skin I am in ❤️“DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - Bare With Us Kit DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Favourite acne scarring fading products?
Favourite acne scarring fading products?
2 years ago I had successes with COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% to fade mild acne scarring. More recently this year I had a bad breakout (see my profile for pictures) which left me with a lot of scarring, more than I’ve ever had in my life 🥺 so now I’m looking for something a bit stronger. I have tried PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster before my breakout, but I believe this was one of the causes of my breakouts so I’m hesitant to try this again, at least until my skin barrier is fuller recovered. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% works well with my skin but I feel results are slow. Maybe I’m impatient 😅 I have not tried Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Treatment Essence, DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serumor SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil yet due to the nature and stability of vitamin C, I’d like to try 1 product at a time. Have you tried these products? Let me know what results you’ve gotten with these products! Or feel free to share any products not listed here that worked for your skin!

HELP!! Need Advice for Hormonal Acne
HELP!! Need Advice for Hormonal Acne
Hi everyone!! I’ve been struggling for about 2 years now with bad hormonal acne and it has only gotten worse. Could really use some advice!!! My skin journey: always used to have clear skin maybe some pimples here and there and then about 3 years ago I started taking birth control I ended up having a bad allergic reaction so I switched my birth control and they gave me progesterone which is only testosterone. AND BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE😭 my skin started breaking out like crazyyyyy!!! I tried to get it switched again but my gyno didn’t recommend it🙄 so I just stopped taking it completely. Since then the past 2 years my acne has only gotten worse. I’ve come to a point where I’m so embarrassed to be seen without makeup. And I hate wearing makeup as well I’ve always been a no makeup person. I am currently trying out curology on my 3rd month and not really seeing any results. I have taken a lot of the advice from the derm on there and started a new routine based on products she’s recommended. I haven’t really noticed much change and can’t seem to manage my redness or acne Scars. I’ve been trying to be patient with my routine but could anyone please give me some advice or products that have been helping to reduce hormonal acne. My forehead is clear my acne is just on my cheeks. Also do you recommend even going the next step and seeing a dermatologist in perosn as well? Maybe they could prescribe me something stronger?? Any advice would be great!!! Current routine is below! AM: VANICREAM - Z-Bar Medicated Cleansing Bar rotated with CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Curology - The Moisturizer CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 PM: VANICREAM - Z-Bar Medicated Cleansing Bar or CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Curology - Curology formula8% Azelaic Acid 1% Clindamycin .25% Zinc Pyrithione Curology - The Moisturizer Every 2-3 day: THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum Every few days: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Every other day: The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

Before & After
Before & After
Guys, I was super embarrassed to post this, but I wanted to show you the difference these products did to my face. Before, I was using Face wash from drug store. I then switched to LexID Skincare. After a week I saw a huge difference in my skin. I like to use the LEXID - Nightfall Charcoal-Activated Facial Cleanser for my cleanser because I like the charcoal, and then for my serum I use LEXID - Marble Hyaluronic Acid Serum This has changed my skin significantly! Just look at the difference! The nightfall cleanser helped exfoliate while the marble serum helps clear up scaring, fine lines, and hydrating the skin.
