Pregnancy Safe Skincare 🤰🏽🤱🏽
Pregnancy Safe Skincare 🤰🏽🤱🏽
The one of the best days of my life was when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. My whole life changed from that moment on, I had to think about not only what I was putting in my body but what I put on my body. Two big pregnancy skincare no nos was retinol and salicylic acid, 2 products I often reached for but in the search for pregnancy safe products I discovered my favorite retinol alternative BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum and The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and I still use both post pregnancy. ****Hey guys in my video I focused on what I think are the most important actives in a safe pregnancy routine but listed below is a step by step safe pregnancy skincare routine.*** AM Cleanse: Honestly in the mornings I would just wash my face with a cold wash cloth. It would help wake me up and the coolness soothes my puffy face. If you wanted something more hydrating I have been using DRUNK ELEPHANT - E-Rase Milki Micellar Water sometimes in the morning it's very hydrating. If I wasn't too tired I would apply my dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner it's thick almost an essence and toner in one. Then move to my pregnancy approved active The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% its very moisturizing. I wish I had NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% when I was pregnant because it has niacinamide in it as well. Azelaic Acid and Niacinamide have a lot of similar benefits: the both help with hyperpigmentation, skin tone/texture and helps fight acne. Lastly I loved my hydrating sunscreen PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Hyaluronic Cloud Moisturizer it's so hydrating I could even be the last step after using NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% PM Back then I didn't double cleanse but now I definitely would continue to do so. I would recommend using my BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing and follow with my favorite Kate Somerville - DeliKate Soothing Cleanser dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% plus NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% or NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% which already has niacinamide in it. if I used the ordinary Azelaic Acid that would be my last step- I'd maybe add a sleep mask like NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream but if I chose the Naturium Azelaic Acid I'd finish with a heavy moisturizer - I can't even remember what I used back then but I'm loving FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer - I will do a full review on this later.

Naturium: Affordable, Well-Rounded Formulas!
Naturium: Affordable, Well-Rounded Formulas!
Naturium marries biologically-optimal ingredients with aesthetic, minimalist packaging. They’re a step above The Ordinary minimalism while forgoing random filler ingredients like fragrance and essential oils, managing to be both affordable and well-rounded! • NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5% A thin, silky serum that absorbs quickly. It’s loaded with humectants, emollients, and a few antioxidants, making it deeply hydrating. I use it mainly to dilute other products for my sensitive skin, but dehydrated skin would looovee this for twice daily use. Repurchase? No, I tend to use multiple serums, so I don’t need a specifically hydrating one. • NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% Encapsulated salicylic acid + humectants = a hydrating exfoliant that helps with pore size and mild acne. Its lightweight texture is perfect for any skin type, except sensitive skin which may have issues with its citrus extracts. Repurchase? No, for fear of my eczema flaring with long-term use 🙈 • NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% Watery? Yup. Hydrating? Very. Sticky? Not at all! Apply to damp skin for instant hydration- I plan to put mine in a spray bottle soon! I do think the humectant-packed formula would be too simple if it wasn’t such a steal at $16 for 170mL. Plus, it does include soothing beta-glucan, making it perfect for any skin type. Repurchase? Probably not, as I use a lot of hydrating serums. • NATURIUM - Niacinamide Gel Cream 5% This gel is thicc, thanks to a few silicones and other polymers. It includes antioxidants and humectants to complement the star- niacinamide! B3 is popular for controlling sebum production, minimizing pore appearance, reducing acne, and its antioxidant status. This gel-cream is great for normal, oily, and acne prone skin! I mix it with oil for my drier skin. Repurchase? Yes! It’s perfect for layering over my serums in summer. • *NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream Thick, bouncy, and spreadable, its humectants, emollients, lipids, and antioxidant extracts leave skin soft and seal in hydration without clogging my pores. Dry skin, layer it over a lightweight moisturizer for plump skin by AM. Oily skin, apply right on top of serums for satin skin when you wake up! Repurchase? Yes! This is such a winter staple for me now, it performs like a balm, but with a better texture. • *NATURIUM - Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream Emollients, humectants, ceramides, fatty acids, antioxidants... This buttery cream is a great winter moisturizer or PM moisturizer for normal and combo skin, or AM + PM for dry skin. Oily skin, I’d avoid its rich formula. Repurchase? If I didn’t have a million moisturizers to test and review, yes! This is affordable and a lovely PM moisturizer. Want To Try: Niacinamide Skin Mist 2% Naked, Vitamin C Complex, Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% *Gifted

Two Simple Maskne Fixes!
Two Simple Maskne Fixes!
My sensitive, combination skin + wearing a mask for a couple hours = breakouts and peeling. No fun, least of all for my jaw and cheekbones where the suffering is focused. Maskne is typically going to be caused by one or more of the following- with each I’ve included some fixes that have helped tons for me and that I would recommend for anyone that can’t seem to kick maskne to the curb. • Friction: Applying an occlusive on the skin where your mask frequently rubs can reduce peeling/irritation there. It also prevents that skin from becoming dry as easily. My favourite occlusive is CeraVe - Healing Ointment because it’s a heavy-duty balm that really protects my skin. However, oily-skinned folks may prefer the less thick LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm , which is more of a thick lotion. • Heat: If you can, try to take small breaks in a bathroom or your car to have your mask off. Apply a hydrating mist during these small breaks, to cool and hydrate the skin- or even just a splash of water in the bathroom can help! • Clogged Pores: If you can afford it, keep multiple masks in your arsenal and rotate between them, washing them at least once a week to prevent bacteria/skin cell build-up in the inside of the mask. As well, be sure you’re including an exfoliant in your routine at least once or twice a week- I love and swear by the ultra-lightweight but incredibly hydrating PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator , but those with more sensitive skin may prefer a wash-off treatment like CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin . Dry-skinned folks (or sensitive skinned folks that react badly to salicylic acid, such as those with rosacea) may prefer a gentle PHA-containing product that offers the exfoliation of AHA without as much of the irritation risk- like THE inkey LIST - Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) Gentle Exfoliating Toner , which is incredibly hydrating. As well, be sure you’re not overexfoliation, as that can lead to irritation that exacerbates acne! #CheriePartner

Just In Time for Autumn: New Moisturizers!
Just In Time for Autumn: New Moisturizers!
Naturium blends affordability, potent research-backed actives, soothing support ingredients, and minimalist packaging in a way that has definitely made a splash in the skincare community! I have sensitive combination skin and had the opportunity to test out their newly-released moisturizers- I was impressed enough to repurchase one of them already to keep it on hand for autumn! NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream • Price: $25 USD per 50g • Texture: Silky, Spreadable, Plush • Review: This is such an interesting product! It’s more of a bouncy balm than a cream, the nourishing formula full of occlusives to seal in hydration from previous skincare steps. A variety of triglycerides and fatty alcohols function as skin-replenishing emollients alongside multiple humectants like propanediol, honey, and hyaluronic acid, but the INCI roots of the plush texture are softening squalane and pliable film-formung occlusives that seal in water and emollients in a “breathable” (skin doesn’t breathe, y’all) way. I love layering this over literally anything: lazy night routines where I cleanse then slap this on over a hydration serum; ten step routines when my skin is dry and sensitive that end with this layered over it all for an extra shot of nourishment and moisture; forming a cushion over an eye cream to make my concealer apply extra smooth. It’s so functional and perfect for any skin type depending on how you use it! NATURIUM - Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream • Price: $25 USD per 50g • Texture: Rich, Spreadable, Emollient, Creamy • Review: If you have dry or irritated skin, this moisturizer is for you! Also, if you have normal or combo skin that gets a little flaky in the autumn/winter, this is such a beautiful “heavy” cream. It’s rich and spreads like butter, soaking in slowly but surely so leave skin soft and very, very moisturized without any grease. The formula aims to nourish and augment the skin’s protective barrier with ceramides, fatty acids, lipids, non-fragrant plant oils and skin-identical squalane... the list is stacked! They include skin-protective antioxidants like vitamin E and water-retaining humectants like sodium hyaluronate, making this a well-rounded moisturizer that packs a surprisingly balanced INCI list for the cost. I’ve used it sparingly as a spot treatment for dry spots but have been reaching for it more and more as my area cools down- applying this luxurious cream has me excited for fall! #CheriePartner

Naturium’s Overnight Cream is AMAZING!
Naturium’s Overnight Cream is AMAZING!
NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream I had this on my wish list for weeks and was ready to buy it but it was always sold out when I checked for it. I FINALLY got my hands on it and it did NOT disappoint. This is my new favorite skincare product 🥰 My skin has been needing extra hydration the past couple months so I wanted to try something I could use semi-frequently to boost hydration. This works perfectly for my sensitive skin! You only need the tiniest amount. I would describe the way it initially feels as a sort of heavy duty chapstick for your face? But once it begins to absorb, it makes the skin smooth like butter. On mornings after use, my face has been super smooth, soft, and noticeably clear. If you’re worried about pores getting clogged, it’s a total nonissue. I have rosacea and zero problems with this product—it has no ingredients that would cause any issues or flare ups. In fact, I find myself extra excited on the nights I know I’m going to use it (this is not a product you need to use every night). And at $25 a container, I think it’s an excellent price. You need such a small amount for every use that it’s sure to last forever, and I already know I’m going to restock whenever I do run out. And now, Naturium is being sold at Target, making it even more accessible! This overnight cream is a home run for me 🤩 Great ingredients in this cream include squalane, hyaluronic acid, betaine, and honey.

I Have Been Slugging And Didn't Even Know It 🐌
I Have Been Slugging And Didn't Even Know It 🐌
Hey guys sorry I have been MIA, My daughter and I were sick last week, I'm feeling better but she's still a little under the 🤒 weather. So what is Slugging?! Slugging is nothing fancy, it's simply slathering Vaseline (or some other petroleum based product) all over your face as the last step in your skincare routine to create a barrier to lock in moisture. I use CeraVe - Healing Ointment and Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment (the baby formula) not Vaseline because Vaseline can clog your pores. I do this the first three days post microneedling and i do this typically after a strong exfoliation like The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution or my favorite DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask . After I do my whole skincare care routine moisturizer, face oil the works. I'll sit for 30 min to an hour and let everything sink in and place the cerave or aquaphor on top. It doesn't break me out even though I do have acne prone skin. The next day my skin is soft and hydrated. Another product that is literally made for this for anyone who is acne prone and worried about breaking out is the NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream . I have used this sleeping mask as well, I love to place it in the fridge and top off my skin care with it. Have you tried slugging? Will you try it?? #cheriecreator
