Eczema level sensitive skincare-makeup friendly
SKIN TYPE I have sensitive dry skin, acne-prone and most sensitive to weather changes since I’m allergic to things like pollen, dust and the wiNd🙄👁👄👁. I get eczema flare ups every other week (itchy, flaky skin and inflamed) so I use prescribed corticosteroid ointments when needed. My biggest struggle would probably be closed comedones and dehydrated skin (don’t drink enough water). — most of the products I use are regularly switched out of the routine accordingly to the weather and how the skin be on the day as well as new skincare releases👀 but the products listed below have been used for at least 4months to a year and are my main🥵💓 Avène - Skin Recovery Cream Pros include the cream actually doing what it’s supposed to do and that is repairing the skin barrier! I use this even when my skin is cracked and inflamed as it is extremely hydrating and soothing; putting this cream on feels so good, doesn’t sting and dries down matte unlike most creams. The cream also boasts an innovative hygienic “pump” opening that when you squeeze the product out dust and fluff won’t be going back into the tube preventing bacteria growth. Cons include the cream being quite a tHiCc boi and little bit pricey ($29 in Aus.). Bio-Oil - Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel From their site: “a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base.” it’s true to their product name an oil in gel form. Pros include its scar fading properties (helped brightened skin), actually adding back some natural oils to the skin for the severely dehydrated skin helping recover the skin barrier, non-irritating and I personally feel like helps prevent moisture evaporation even when you already have layered serums. Extremely cheap and affordable also available in 3 sizes but even the smallest size 50ml lasted me for months. Cons include that it’s literally an oil🥺 if you accidentally put too much on you can feel it in ✨your s o u l✨ LANEIGE - Cream Skin Refiner Pros include that it’s kind of a lightweight, milky-liquid version of Avene Skin Recovery Cream due to similar functions and purpose such as being extremely hydrating and repairs the skin barrier but this toner also is quite cooling thus soothes the skin (especially when it feels inflamed) and is a good way to prep the skin even during summer whereas the Avene may feel too heavy during hotter weather. You can also soak a cotton pad in this and use it as a mini-mask. Personally although it’s not irritating and has never caused a flare up it stung a bit on raw skin🤧, but other than that there hasn’t been any adverse effects. Cons include how ✨pricey✨ it is, although it’s kind of worth it full size 150ml depending on where you buy it they might charge a bit more than usual like Sephora often charging more than Yesstyle or the physical Laneige stores depending on your location. The mini size 50ml use to be $5-7AUD on Yesstyle👀
