Find your perfect shade with these tips!
Finally find your perfect shade match by following these tips! Is your foundation the perfect match? Maybe the color is off a little or maybe you even have to mix shades. After working as a color artist at sephora, I’ve got foundation matching down to a T! Keep reading for my tips. 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 What is your undertone? Are you cool toned, warm toned, or a mix of both aka neutral toned? Do you look more yellow or pink? 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚: Take a look at your veins on your wrist or where you can see them show through. If they appear 𝘽𝙇𝙐𝙀 then you are a cool tone. If they appear 𝙂𝙍𝙀𝙀𝙉 then you are a warm tone. A mix of 𝘽𝙊𝙏𝙃 green & blue is a neutral tone. NOW take a look in the mirror and lets identify what type of warm, cool, or neutral tone you are. In the mirror look at your neck and collarbone/chest area. What color do you see? Cool tones look for: PINK, RED, PEACH, BLUE & VIOLET. (violet for our deep skin babes) Warm tones: YELLOW, ORANGE, GOLDEN, OLIVE (olive can be warm or neutral) Neutral tones tend to be right in-between. You may see some yellow, but also some pink or other cool tone..etc. I am medium to tan warm olive! I often have a hard time finding my shade due to the lack of warm olive undertones in foundations. 𝙁𝙊𝙐𝙉𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 Most of us know that there is not always an inclusive shade range in a lot of foundations, but it is improving with brands like Fenty, Rare, Uoma, and many others. When picking a foundation read what type of undertone it is (check my photos above for examples) Since you’ve figured out or have an idea of your undertone, follow these steps to make sure your foundation matches as precise as possible. ① Swatch on your neck and bring it down towards your chest. ② let the swatch set a few minutes to make sure it doesn’t turn colors on you or oxidize. ③ does it match pretty well? Apply it to your face and see how it does for the rest of the day! 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨: UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation This shade range goes by skin tones and undertones. Very fair, fair, olive, rich tan, brown, dark brown. * I own their complexion line and LOVE it. There is a review on my profile Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation A huge range with many undertone combos! FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation The first really inclusive line of shades, but needs work in the undertones IMO. flesh - Pure Liquid Foundation Awesome shade range and really goes into the deep shades w/ a variety of undertones. NARS - Soft Matte Complete Foundation An expanded foundation shade range with multiple undertones! Those are just a few lines that come to mind! Cmnt your undertone below! #cheriecreator

WAYS TO SAVE TIME IN THE AM— 10 MINUTE MAKEUP✨
Whether you want to sleep in a few extra minutes or you’re waking up right before you have to turn the zoom call on doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice looking put together. Here are some ways I save time in the morning and get ready in under 10 minutes. Mixing products together This allows for two steps to be completed in one. Just because you’re trying to get ready quick doesn’t mean you need to omit skin care rituals. I do this for several different steps and never had a problem with formulas mixing in the past: Eye cream + concealer: recently I have been loving mixing OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème and NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer . They both have a thin consistency and work perfect for the under eye. Also, the eye cream is tinted yellow so it really helps conceal under eye circles. Sunscreen+ moisturizer: I have been using these two product together forever; face reality - Daily SPF30 Lotion face reality - Clearderma Moisturizer for Acne-Prone Skin . The sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast and the moisturizer smells so good. Primer+ foundation: this is a new combination I have recently been mixing together; Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Prime . It creates a thinner, shear foundation for days you don’t want a heavy look. ** of course you can buy products that are targeted for two steps but I prefer mixing my own. Wearing false lashes/ extensions Wearing false lashes/extensions is such a game changer. You save so much time on eye makeup in the morning because the lashes make up for mascara, liner etc. Tinted brow gel I spend the most time on my makeup routine with my brows. Brow gel has saved me so much time in the morning. I run the brush through my brows a few times and they are ready to go. They are perfectly shaded and set in place for the day. I do clean up my brows with concealer for a more noticeable difference but that step is quick. benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Storing all your makeup in one place There’s nothing worse then wasting time in the morning because you can’t find your beauty sponge etc. If you keep all of your products in one place you will save the time it takes to find the product in the first place. (this tip is for those who are always on the move/traveling) [I have combination, light-medium skin tone] What are some ways you love to save time with your makeup routine?💭⬇️ 🎶: DJ Quads at my front door #CheriePartner

Rare beauty review ✨
Hi Cherie! Welcome to my 1st review ✨ Shout out to @honeybrifor sharing this app with me!! SO, Rare Beauty.... I got these products THE day it launched and immediately filmed this video. It’s been a good few weeks since then & these are my thoughts.... Foundation: Off the bat..... LOVE IT 👏 Buildable coverage, very light and comfortable. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation Concealer: Just like the foundation, buildable and very comfortable! Though I like it, it’s not my first pick when I’m looking for coverage. However, I do find myself reaching for it when I want a light coverage/natural day. Kudos for not creasing on me either! Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer Blush: YES. I’m a blush ✨freak✨. Very pigmented but that doesn’t scare me 😉 I will say (along with the liquid highlight) that it got VERY patchy over powders. Like, BAD. To the point where I had to take off my makeup & start over. For reference, I have my liquid favs that layer easily and great after I have set my face but that was not the case for these. Aside from that nightmare, once you use this correctly.... BEAUTY 👏 Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Highlight: Beware of my mistake stated above but love this for an everyday dew. Have been using it a lot but if I want something more blinding, I look elsewhere. Rare Beauty - Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Brow Pencil: EEEEKK. Pencil is 🗑. The Gel side is great though! I would def be open to buying the product if it was just the gel. The pencil is WAAAY too thick and pigmented for my liking when it comes to brows. Rare Beauty - Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel Primer + Setting Spray: The primer feels very nice and is illuminating for sure! Under makeup, it’s a nice glow from within but if you sometimes like to use an illuminating primer on no foundation days (I do), it’s a bit TOO much. Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer The setting spray has quickly become my fav!! I can’t say it helps prolong makeup but I LOVE a refreshing spray even when I’m all natural. It smells like a spa and melts makeup into my skin Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist 4-in-1 Prime & Set Mist Lip: LIP SOUFFLE. YOU NEED IT. I LOVE IT. Long lasting and VERY comfortable. Rare Beauty - Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream Brushes: Foundation brush is very nice and applied creams like a dream. Though I like the Rare Beauty Foundation, I actually like the brush for foundations that are a bit thicker!Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Foundation Brush Same goes for the concealer brush, I prefer it with other products! The concealer is a bit too watery and hard to control with the brush, so I prefer my sponge. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Concealer Brush What are your thoughts on Rare Beauty?

🚨NEW RELEASE: Rare Beauty + ND Glam Palette 💞
Hey beautiful! I got my mini Sephora haul this weekend and tested out some new make up releases. I got some products from Selena Gomez’ rare beauty and the new Natasha Denona glam palette! Not going to lie, when Sephora announces Selena Gomez’ new make up line I rolled my eyes. Another celebrity makeup release. I thought it was just another cash grab, but when I found out that some proceeds will go towards mental health, I was intrigued. I am a huge advocate of mental health so I bit the bullet and purchased it along with the glam palette. This is my first Natasha Denona palette actually. I’ve been wanting the gold palette and the biba palette, but didn’t think that the $129 price tag is worth it. I wasn’t too intrigued with the bronze palette so I purchased this as my first one! Starting off with the Rare Beauty products, I am impressed with the foundation and concealer. Both are light weight and easily melted in to my skin and I didn’t spend much time blending. I was impressed with the finish as well. It is natural and a radiant finish. It truly is a “your skin but better” foundation. It looks like skin and doesn’t look like I’m wearing any face makeup. I am impressed with the shade range too. I usually have trouble matching foundations, but the Sephora skin shade match online really knocked it out of the park. The liquid blush is beautiful and really gives that glow from within look. I got the shade “joy”. This really packs a punch so a little goes a long way. I have medium to tan skin tone and this shade is LOUD. I had to spent extra time blending it out otherwise I look like I broke out and had a rash reaction 🥴 I might have to return this and trade it for another shade. If you have lighter skin tone than me BEWARE. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush The lip soufflé is a beautiful and comfortable on my lips. I’m not a huge fan of liquid lip products because my lips are on the drier side, but this doesn’t crack and feels so soft. I’m also in love with this shade. I got the “courage” shade. However, I don’t think it’s worth $20 because NYX has a similar product so I wouldn’t repurchase Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick Natasha Denona eyeshadows feels luxurious. I didn’t spend much time blending because it pretty much blended itself. I can see why ND eyeshadows are on the pricy side. I also don’t own too many cool toned shades so I’m glad I got this palette. It’s subtle enough for everyday wear so I can see myself picking this up on the daily NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette Overall, I think Rare’s foundation and concealer are worth it. They are a little bit cheaper compared to other higher end foundations. However, I’m iffy about the lip and the cheek products. I love ND’s glam palette and can see myself using it often. Francesca 💋

RARE BEAUTY FOUNDATION REVIEW!!
Hey guys! I recently bought theRare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! Here's why: I picked the right shade which is 140C!! I had to play around with the shade finder on Sephora and took a tally to see which shade made sense, plus I picked one that matches my cool undertone. Super important to know your undertone! It's like BUTTER! 🤩💕 So smooth & easy to blend out It has a doe foot applicator instead of a pour and I like that because you can't spill it, plus this foundation goes a long way & the applicator holds so much foundation it's unbelieveable. The doe foot is really well designed and it's really flat, soft, and smooth and I don't have to dip it in the bottle that often to get more foundation which I'm surprised about. When you apply powder, it doesn't cake! It just becomes slightly drier and is smoothed out more. This foundation sets really nicely and when I wore my mask today not much came off and I was super happy about that. Also, I've tried foundations that got cakey before and this one does do a little bit to large pores, but it does depend on the powder you use - I've tried it with 3 and results were different. 🤷🏼♀️ But anyway this is a smooth foundation that gets better and is there to stay after you put it on. (it sets well with the URBAN DECAY - Full Size All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Duo ) I have large pores and this product didn't make them seem bigger, it smoothed them out! So crazy to me and this foundation is worth it!! Things to consider: It reminds me of the Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tintbecause of the formula and Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation is thicker so don't worry about not getting enough coverage 😂 I think it would be best on any skin type honestly, and I have oily skin and it didn't affect me throughout the day - 12 hr wear, so I think you should consider your skin type and what you use to set. The best tool to use is a sponge, since it's very liquidy and lightweight, so a brush would just soak it all up and wouldn't give as smooth of a finish. Stay healthy folks!! 💁🏼♀️🥰

NEW PRODUCT ALERT: RARE BEAUTY FOUNDATION✨
I was so excited to get my hands on the Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation I was in the market for a new foundation and the timing to get the product was perfect. First off, I love how the brand supports the de-stigmatization around mental health. Selena Gomez is a huge advocate for the mental health community so I’m happy to see her put her platform towards a good use. Now, you’re probably interested in the product so I will share all my opinions on the foundation. For starters: I have a combination, light-medium skin tone. When looking for a foundation I like to look for one that is “like skin” but buildable in coverage. The product was $29 USD which I find quite affordable for a higher end foundation. The shade I was color-matched to was 190 which is a light medium shade with warm golden undertones. Product range: As of right now, the foundation is available in 48 shades ranging from light to deep. There are multiple undertones ranging from cool, neutral, and warm shades of peach, golden, beige, olive, pink, red, and blue. In my opinion that is a lot of shades but there could be more neutral undertones added. Packaging: The packaging for the foundation is very sleek and clean. The applicator itself is a large doe-foot brush which I personally love. Formula: The foundation is marketed to be weightless and breathable yet full coverage. This sounds like it contradicts itself, but it does exactly that. It is cruelty free, vegan, paraban free, suitable for sensitive skin, and noncomedognic. The product also included lotus, gardenia, and white water lilies to smooth, calm, and nourish the skin. How I apply: The Sephora worker told me that Selena recommends shaking the bottle before use. So I shake the bottle and apply some to the back of my hand. From there I will apply the product with a beauty sponge. (I apply this product on top of moisturized and primed skin) Finish: The finish is skin like. It melts into the skin, which can also mean settling into fine lines but it doesn’t worsen the appearance of large pores. The foundation has a luminous finish and I set it with powder and it still held that luminosity. Do I reccomend? I have only worn the foundation a couple of times so I can only speak from little experience right now. The foundation is very pretty on the skin. I can see myself reaching for this foundation a lot due to its buildable coverage and luminous finish. If you are on the oily side. I can see this product becoming a little oily throughout the day. Also, the product does settle into fine lines so you definitely would need a primer and setting powder if this is of concern to you. Overall, I think this a great foundation, especially for being the first in the Rare Beauty collection. Will you be purchasing Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation ?💭 #CheriePartner
