My routine - The Ordinary AM
Hi Beauties!
It seems I’m a little late to the party but I’ve finally jumped on The Ordinary train. I have dry, sensitive skin with some redness and I’m all about incorporating anti-ageing products into my routine.
After copious amounts of research on the Deciem chat room, Deciem website, random web articles and of course fellow Cherie users - I’ve managed to pull together a routine to address my concerns.
Having said that, I’m by no means an expert so feel free to comment below if you’ve got recommendations on how I can switch it up.
See my AM routine below and check out my other The Ordinary post for my PM routine.
Thanks for reading! 🧡
AM
The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser
I’m not a person who showers each morning so I like that this goes directly on dry skin. Watching the this cleanser turn from a thick white solution, to an luxurious oil simply by rubbing a small amount between my hands is magic!
The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
A few Cherie users mentioned this product is good for treating redness and they were right!
The Ordinary - ''Buffet''
Good all-in-one anti-ageing miracle solution.
The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%
This product is high in antioxidants and is such a potent formula that you can use alone or pop a few drops in your hydrating oils for an extra boost. Great for anti-ageing and apparently for textural irregularities although I have not noticed a change in the texture of my skin as yet. Texture isn’t a big concern for me so I’m not worried.
The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
This product feels thick on my skin and like the Squalane Cleanser a little goes a long way. I don’t use much of this on my face in the morning as I’m too lazy to wait for it all to soak in before applying my sunscreen.
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Uvidea XL Tinted UV Protection BB Cream
Love this BB cream! Not only does it have SPG 50+ but it also soaks into my skin and doesn’t go patchy or dry. This is the perfect light coverage I look for in a BB cream, and I often won’t add face makeup over the top - just a slick of mascara and you’re good to go!
