Powder or serum?
Powder or serum?
We all love niacinamide right? Let’s talk about wether the best choice is a serum or this 100% pure powder from The Ordinary. ✨ The Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder $5.80 for 20grams of powder. Claims: 100% niacinamide powder offers the most direct topical exposure to target visible shine, enlarged pores, and irregular skin texture. The powder format offers a DIY experience that allows you to to personalize your usage based on your preferences. This powder format offers versatility in combining the benefits of niacinamide with the benefits of other non-conflicting treatments like peptide serums to address multiple concerns at once. How to use: Mix a quarter scoop (this is a bit difficult) of the spoon provided, with a water based treatment in the palm of your hand and apply to the face am and pm. Wash hands throughly after handling. Notes: Do not mix with topical vitamin C in the same skin care regimen. If you use vitamin C, you can use one in the am and one in the pm. It is also recommended you do not mix with direct acids. My experience: I have been using this powder for about a full week now. I personally love the option to mix my own serum “recipe.” I add it to my Hyaluronic Acid in the pm and do the same thing with my vitamin c powder in the am. It does create another step to my routine so if you are all about quick and easy I would recommend sticking with the pre-made serum. It can be a bit difficult to make sure you are getting only 1/4 of a spoonful into your base serum and I’m not sure why they don’t just make a correctly sized scoop but I’ve gotten it down pat pretty much. I make sure that I mix extremely well, otherwise it will be gritty when applied. It absorbs super quick and doesn’t leave any sticky residue but I always wait 5 minutes before moving on to my next step. ❤️ Results so far: I have noticed oil control and it seems my pores are smaller but I think that also has to do with the pore flush product I use. The major thing is that my redness seems to be improving and I’m extremely happy about that. I’m really hoping the redness is gone with more use! My skin definitely seems to be loving the products I’m using right now and I will finish the container and reevaluate from there. ✨Pros— Fun DIY aspect Very affordable Seems to be helping my redness, oily skin, and pore size. You can combine this with other treatments to make your own formula. 😩Cons— You need to do a lot of research on this before using. You might be tempted thinking more is better but it’s not. You need to make sure to only use what’s directed or even less. It’s hard to measure the correct amount. Niacinamide powder is very unstable and can go bad very quickly. Verdict—- I do like this powder BUT I think I’d just buy the serum next time and unless you are someone very advanced in skincare I’d recommend you to just buy the serum as well ❤️

so I impulsively got a ton of stuff from the ordinary based on reviews and what several of their online employees have recommended. I gotta save, I've only work the hyaluronic acid for a day and it feels fantastic! I'll be updating in a month-6 weeks to give an accurate update, but I really gotta talk about the hyaluronic acid. I've tried them before and they were just sticky, and didn't feel great, this one is fantastic! my face felt so plush and soft! it was the first thing I tried and it is amazing! posting new results in a short while guys!

New From TO! Say Bye-Bye to Shine and Hello to Healthy Skin
New From TO! Say Bye-Bye to Shine and Hello to Healthy Skin
We’ve all heard of The Ordinary by now, they make great skincare products at an affordable price point. Up until now, they’ve concentrated on making serums filled to the brim with all the good stuff like vitamin C, retinol, and hyaluronic acid. I’m an avid fan of these serums and was so excited to try their newest addition to their skincare lineup—a 100% Niacinamide Powder!  Niacinamide, in the skincare world, is known as a multifunctional skincare product that can help streamline your routine. It’s said to reduce excess oil, shrink enlarged pores, reduce dryness and irritation, and keep redness at bay. It also can be applied morning or night and it’s great for the sensitive skin gals out there. So, back to The Ordinary’s new product. 100% Niacinamide Powder promises to target shine, enlarged pores, and irregular skin texture. When I first popped my little jar out of the package, I was so excited to try this powder for more reasons than one. The first reason being...it came with the perfect little spoon for expert mixing! As the directions state, I mixed a quarter scoop of powder with my Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer and spread evenly over my face and neck. It had no smell, which was nice and felt great going on my skin. I wasn’t left with a tacky, sticky feeling afterward, either.  The next morning, my skin looked visibly brighter and less shiny! My skin is pretty oily, so to me, this was a huge improvement. I had no redness and my skin felt incredibly soft. I didn’t notice a huge difference with my pores, but I don’t really suffer from large or visible pores. I think this product is great because it can be mixed with your favorite water-based treatment so you can completely customize it to your skincare routine. I also love that the jar is small, (perfect for traveling) and comes with its own spoon. If you’re looking for an affordable product that helps with oiliness and shine, The Ordinary 100% Niacinamide Powder is for you!

NEW ALERT! The Ordinary 100% Niacinamide Powder🤗
NEW ALERT! The Ordinary 100% Niacinamide Powder🤗
It's been a while since they released something new!!! 🤩🤩🤩I'm so excited to share this newly released product by The Ordinary! The YouTuber Sincerely Miss Ash also had shared here review with us! Let's welcome the newest product from The Ordinary The Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powderas well as Sincerely Miss Ash's review! The brand is known for its smart serums, which make dermatologist-approved ingredients such as lactic acid, retinol, and vitamin C easy to understand and use, the new product is very different. In fact, it's a first for The Ordinary. Enter: 100% Niacinamide Powder. Sincerely Miss Ash's Review: She loves how unique this product is because you can customize this to however you like using certain products. And she can find this help with her blemish, texture, and oil production. What is niacinamide in skincare? Niacinamide is also known as vitamin B3, has increased as many of us are looking to streamline our skincare routines and opt for multifunctional skincare. Niacinamide fits the bill. A daily dose helps reduce excess oil (potentially preventing breakouts), minimize the appearance of large pores, repair the skin's barrier to keep issues such as dryness and irritation at bay and reduce inflamed red skin. Touted by skin experts as an ingredient that is well tolerated by sensitive skin, it can be used in the morning and in the evening, making it an easy all-rounder. 100% NiacinamideI Powder VS Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: If you're a fan of The Ordinary, you'll know that the range already boasts a niacinamide product: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, $10.60/60ml. Adored by influencers, beauty editors, and facialists alike, the serum has rave reviews and is always selling out. So what makes the powder different? According to the brand, 100% Niacinamide Powder "offers the most direct topical exposure of niacinamide". In other words, you can personalize how much you use and it is very easily combined with other skincare products in your routines, such as serums and moisturizers. Even better, it's only $6.70/20g. How do you use The Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder? "The Ordinary’s 100% Niacinamide Powder can be mixed into any non-conflicting, water-based treatment," explains Prudvi Kaka, Deciem's chief scientific officer. When it comes to the choice of water-based products to mix with the formula, there are several options available. Prudvi suggests hyaluronic acid (namely serum Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, or moisturizer Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA). You could also use the popular serum "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1%. The product comes with a small measuring spoon and the label instructs mixing a quarter of a spoonful with a water-based product. You can use the amount you want a mix with any your favorite skincare products Does niacinamide conflict with any skincare ingredients? This is the part you want to pay more attention to if you want to use this product! There are some ingredients niacinamide doesn't pair well with. "We do not recommend combining 100% Niacinamide Powder with vitamin C, and vitamin C derivatives," says Prudvi. This is because niacinamide has the potential to affect how well vitamin C works. "When combined, this also may cause a chemical discoloration of the product," adds Prudvi, "which increases chances of developing facial flushing," aka redness. If you want to use both products, alternate between them advises Prudvi. For example, apply a vitamin C serum one morning (followed by SPF) and niacinamide mixed with a plain, water-based moisturizer the next. Niacinamide or VC Powder? | The Ordinary Review
Niacinamide or VC Powder? | The Ordinary Review
The Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder Ordinary recently released Niacinamide powder (100% niacinamide powder) as a loyal powder. I immediately stocked two bottles, but the two tubing bloggers I have followed these days ♥️Lab Muffin Beauty Science and ♥️ Dr.Dray do not recommend niacinamide Fans and VC fans suddenly collapsed at that time🤯 Niacinamide and VC powder still have a certain reputation in the public evaluation and various media, but the two YouTube bloggers analyzed the composition from the perspective of some misunderstandings that may occur, etc. These I will explain in the following 🔹User Guide Niacinamide powder and VC powder are both very pure. They can be used as an embellishment for your current skin care, but it is not recommended to add too much at one time because the current research shows that only 5% niacinamide will exert its greatest advantage. There is no other proof that says yours. The higher the ratio of ingredients, the better the effect of using VC powder. Too much dosage will make the face more sensitive, so you must not be greedy when using the ratio. 🔹How to measure Since the ratio must not be greedy, but how to measure it? TO stated on the official website that only a little bit of VC powder is needed, and the dosage of nicotinamide powder only needs to be one-fourth of the small spoon provided. If you can See how small the spoon on the picture is, you know how troublesome it is to take a quarter of the amount 🔹Safety In addition to improper collocation, this safety also refers to the instability of VC. VC is easily oxidized (yellowing). Once improperly stored, VC powder is easily deteriorated. Compared with niacinamide powder, VC powder needs to be matched with some creams or essences with a PH value of about 4 (weakly acidic). Will be better absorbed There are various signs that I am not good at chemistry. But are the niacinamide powder and VC powder of T.O’s family useful? From my sense of use, it is [some] Why? First of all, I am a wall skin, and secondly, from the first time I DIY VC powder on my face, I have not used it on my face. The first is too grainy and the second is really super troublesome. And my face does not need to be whitened, but my neck and body need to be digged and mixed. My body milk may be thick and there is no discomfort, but I did not tan this year. One is the diligent maintenance and the other is the cause of the epidemic. The frequency has also decreased Generally speaking, I still recommend the two products on the premise that you know how to use them and how to use them, and the price/performance ratio is so high that you can't buy them. Of course, I'm talking about Canadian currency. If you are not in Canada and you can't guarantee the proper channels and products. Not recommended to buy

NightTime Routine - Dry Sensitive Skin ✨
NightTime Routine - Dry Sensitive Skin ✨
Hi y’all! I just posted my morning skincare routine, now here’s my night time routine! Reminder, I have combo, but more on the dry side skin that is acne prone and sensitive! I’m also dealing with some maskne right now, which is obnoxious but better than getting COVID ! I start by cleansing with CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser I really love this product as it is good for my acne yet not stripping at all. It’s been a great addition to my routine. *If I need to double cleanse I’ll use CeraVe Hydrating cleanser before it. The Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder mixed with The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I mix these two together if I haven’t done so in the morning and have seen really good results so far, although there was a purging period. If I feel like my skin needs a break, I will skip the niacinamide and just use the hyalauronic acid instead. Krave - Great Barrier Relief This is a new addition so I can’t really write about the results yet, but might post an update in a few weeks. It feels nice on the skin though, and I have high hopes for it! I don’t use it along with the niacinamide powder because its not suggested to use more than one product with niacinamide in one routine according to the Krave Beauty page. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Not sure if I should be using this along with the Great Barrier Relief since it might be redundant, but this has been an incredible addition to my routine. I love this product as it has really calmed down my acne, faded scars, and feels really nice on the skin. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin Love this moisturizer, especially at night since it makes me feel like everything has been locked in. It feels nice and I wake up with no dryness in the mornings. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I have loved this product for a long time! I use it once a week for ten minutes max and my skin always feels super smooth and clean after I do. This product has been one that I’ve seen the most results with in a while! The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion I use this once or twice a week although I’ve been cutting down on it recently since I’ve started using a retin-a gel as a spot treatment some nights. Because it can be drying and sensitizing, I’ve been using rose hip oil more often since it has similar effects as retinol. If you have any suggestions or thoughts feel free to comment below! Stay safe y’all! 🦋✨
