What It DoesThis ultra-pigmented, flake-proof mascara creates 23.6-times more volume and 40% more visible length for the boldest lashes. The asymmetrical brush was designed to load every eyelash with the max amount of formula for extreme volume and definition. The tip defines and separates even the tiniest of individual lashes, while the curved side adds lift at the lash root. My favorite easy daily eye look
When I say I am no-frills, no-nonsense, usually-roll-out-of-bed-and-wear-no-makeup-during-quarantine-because-duh....I’m not kidding. HOWEVER, when we were in simpler times and I actually left my house for work on a daily basis, and saw people, I actually did my eye makeup. Now when I tell you I have sensitive, dry eyes I am so serious. I have rosacea which affects the face but also can cause super dry eyes, so I have to be careful about the products I use in that area. My favorite daily eye look includes 2 shadows, 1 brush, a liquid liner, and a mascara. Let me tell you THE DEETS... 1. BASE. I will sometimes use my concealer as my eye base but I usually just don’t use one at all. If you prefer to use one, go for it! 2. BASE SHADOW. I typically use one shadow all over applied with my fingertip. Today I used the shade “natural peaches” from the Tarte/Grav3yardgirl eyeshadow palette, which is no longer for sale but you can use any neutral matte shadow that matches your skin tone. 3. CREASE. I take the same bronzer I’m using on my face, dip my super fluffy Morphe M433 brush into it, and windshield-wiper it into my crease and kind of create an outer V shape with it. The bronzer I’m using today is the Fenty powder bronzer in “shady biz”: FENTY BEAUTY - Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer MORPHE - M433 Pro Firm Blending Fluff Brush I use this super fluffy brush since I have hooded eyes and need to create an overdramatic crease or else you wouldn’t see any shadow! 4. LOWER LASH LINE. After deepening my crease, I take the same brush and lightly run it under my lower lash line. Blend blend blend! 5. LINER. I use a brush-tip liquid liner to create a super tiny line with the smallest wing along the outer half of my upper lash line. I will usually use brown, but all I have is black. Today I used the URBAN DECAY - Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen which is nice but it did sting my eyes a little bit. The pain went away fairly quickly though so I still use it. 6. MASCARA. I try to use a non-dramatic mascara that won’t clump. Any mascara will do! Today I used the new Lash Freak by Urban Decay URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara i haven’t been using it long enough to give a super detailed review but I really don’t like the wand. I might actually just use a different wand with it since I like the formula so far. I used this on my upper and lower lashes! What are your go-go products for your daily eye look? #CheriePartner

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid - this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer “light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip “little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner

90s Makeup Pt. 2
I had so much fun making my first look, I had to do a second! Make sure to check that one out, too. This look is much more grungy. It’s inspired by popular celeb looks with worn-in, black-rimmed eyes and dark lipstick. Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer Great for smoothing without feeling silicone-y. This is in my October monthly makeup basket. No other reason for choosing Foundation: ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “ST 3 Balos” and PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose these 2 because celebs often wore lighter foundation tones (or orange, but I don’t like that look LOL). The combo of these 2 is still natural but provides medium coverage. The Pür is a bit light for me. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. Celebs often wore concealer that was a little or much lighter to draw attention to their eyes. Eyes: URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion”. I did a thin line on my upper lash line, then used a pencil brush (not sure of brand) to smoke it out kind of messily. Celebs’ liner looked like they’d been wearing it all day (or night) long. I then added a bit more liner at my lash’s roots to intensify the effect. For my spidery lashes I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . I smudged the shade “black” from the LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette with the same pencil brush under my eyes. Since I have hooded eyes, some of the smudged liner did transfer into my crease a bit. I think it adds to the worn-in vibe. Cheeks: KEVYN AUCOIN - The Contour & Highlighter Duo “contour” to lightly sculpt my nonexistent cheekbones and tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “thrilled” (nude pink) on the upper portion of my cheeks to add a hint of color to my cheeks and lift my cheekbones up. Lips: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick “heathers” for a deep ox blood red pout. Shades of red, burgundy, and brown were also very popular in the 90s to pair with this kind of look! I finished off this look with my hair in a bun to accentuate my makeup. What’s your fave 90s makeup style?! #CheriePartner

90’s Makeup Pt. 1
I grew up in the 90s and had fun looking back on some styles of makeup back then. This is the first of 2 looks I created inspired by the 90s. I had so much fun doing this one that I decided to do a second. Look for that one shortly! Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer No reasoning, I just like this primer (good for smoothing) and it was already on my vanity. Foundation: PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose this because it’s a little bit too light for me. Looking back at the 90s, many celebs either wore foundation that was a little too orange or a little too light for their skin. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. I chose this because it’s a bit too light for me. The 90s was characterized by bright under eyes to draw attention to them. I prefer ELF’s hydrating camo formula but this was my previous holy grail concealer. Eyes Blue eyeshadow is the first thing I thought of when I decided to do 90s-themed makeup. Many celebs rocked this color, though not always in the most flattering way. I used 2 single shimmer shades from the indie brand Vanessa’s Vanity. I applied #Vanessa’s Vanity - Blue Moon[products]#[FourStars] (medium blue jeans-esque) all over my lid and blended up into the crease just below my brow bone. I highlighted my brow bone and inner corners with #Vanessa’s Vanity - Colorado Sky[products]#[FourStars] (frosty very pale blue). For a spidery lash look, I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . This isn’t an eye look I personally love, but it was so fun & easy to create. I’m more of a “pop of blue” kind of gal. Blush: Baby pink and bright pink blushes were so popular. They’re perfect for that “youthful” flush of color. I used one of my favorites (do you see all that pan?!) - HIKARI COSMETICS - HIKARI COSMETICS Blush “cameo”. Instead of adding a light wash of color, I amped this color up and skipped bronzer and highlighter. Now if only I had a bright pink shirt to match like many celebs did! Lips: Both overlined lips and mega glossy lips were all the rage in the 90s. I personally dislike overlined lips, but ya know, I wanted to stay as true to the theme as I could. I used the HUDA BEAUTY - Lip Contour Matte Pencil in “muse” (pinky mauve darker than my natural lip color) to over line the exterior of my lips and the FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in “$weetmouth”. Supppper glossy! The only thing I’m missing from this look is pencil thin eyebrows, but I had to draw the line of commitment somewhere LOL! What’s your favorite decade(s) for makeup? #Cherie Partner

Freaky Good or Freaky Bad?
You may have seen Urban Decay’s newest mascara - Lash Freak. Were you curious about it? Read on for my thoughts! It’s definitely....freaky. This mascara claims to provide “freaky” volume and length while being extremely black, long-wearing, and flake-free. The premise behind the strange looking plastic wand is to use the underside (with no bristles) first to deposit product and lift lashes, then flip the wand over to comb the product through lashes, and finally use the tip to define. This mascara lives up to its name for sure. It lengthens my lashes and provides a lot of volume. Unfortunately, it also gives my lashes a spidery effect. I strongly dislike how much product gets deposited onto my lashes. I’ve found that I have to take about 5ish seconds to clean the wand off after each dip because otherwise it’s clumpy spider city on my eyeballs. I have applied it how UD suggests but I’m not a fan. I only use the regular bristles. It is long-wearing and flake-free. I like this mascara best as a base layer and then I use another mascara on top, or just apply 1 coat. This was sent to me for review from Influenster a while ago. I would not repurchase. If you love spidery lashes, this is most definitely the mascara for you. URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara does also come in a mini size ($13) to try before committing to a full size ($25). Available online and at Sephora and Ulta.

Honest Review: Urban Decay Lash Freak Mascara
Most of my reviews are positive, but not today. I received a deluxe sample of this mascara from an Ulta purchase and decided to give it a try. Overall, the formula is not bad. I still prefer my favorite Benefit They’re Real mascara to this one. My main complaint is with the brush. I find it difficult to apply without leaving a lot of clumps on my lashes. I have a picture of the brush so you can see what it looks like. My left eye came out okay (I am left handed) but my right is full of clumps. I have been applying mascara for over twenty years. I don’t usually have this problem applying it evenly to both sides. For this reason, I will be tossing my sample and will not purchase the full size. To me, it is not worth the money.
