This by far is my absolute favorite sunscreen for my face. Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55 is very light weight and doesn’t leave a dramatic white cast. It’s perfect for my oily acne prone skin. It doesn’t leave my face greasy either. When this sunscreen dries it leave my face still soft and smooth. I usually apply this after I freshen my face with a toner or add it to my morning routine last after my moisturizer and oil. Sunscreen should be applied daily! Anytime you are around sunlight. Even in the house and at night! And ESPECIALLY if you use acids or chemical treatments on your face which make your skin more vulnerable to sun damage and increased dark marks.

Hi all, so I was on birth control for over 8 years and I wanted to give my body a chance to have normal hormones. My skin did not like that idea. But I’m pushing through! I was originally using acne.orgs Benzoyl Peroxide regimen but since the birth control hiatus I have progressively seen more cysts, closed comedones, and pimples. So I did some research and decided to use Differin! I used to work at a plastic surgery/medical spa so I’ve known about retinoids, but I always thought they were more anti-aging. Anyway, follow along to see how it goes ! Morning Routine CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer Either CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for Body with Zinc OxideOR Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55open for suggestions as I have never incorporated an SPF into my routine Night Routine Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser Debating on buffering and putting moisturizer on wet face-CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream Alternate between DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Geland acne.org - Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide – 2.5%) I also purchased some hydrocolloid patches which I’ve used in the past but not for years. Any tips or suggestions are welcome !!

Sunscreen is the one of the keys to anti-aging, prevention of sun damage and rosacea/acne flare ups and of course skin cancer. When I was younger I was a sun 🌞 worshiper. I would go to tanning beds & would lay out for hours using baby oil & other products to achieve the deepest darkest tan possible. As I got older I develop white patches on my arms from sun damage, brown sun spots on my face and rosacea. (I even had to have a pre-cancerous spot on my face burned off) My dermatologist suggested that I use at least a SPF 30 even when driving to keep my rosacea redness, flare ups, and acne breakouts down. Also to prevent any further damage and skin cancer from the harmful uv rays. I have used numerous sunscreens over the last ten years & just finished this bottle. It was perfect timing because I just received a new sunscreen to try out as a gift from a Cherie Creator box ❤️. I got this sunscreen from CVS for $9.99, my doctor had recommended Neutrogena products because of my sensitive skin and tendecy to breakout. Out of all the sunscreens I have tried from Neutrogena This is my favorite formula so far, it’s very lightweight, oil free (it feels like you have nothing on at all) and leaves my face feeling soft. It’s not runny, sticky or greasy feeling, and absorbs quickly leaving your face with a matte finish. This sunscreen is perfect for layering underneath your makeup and on top of your serum’s and lotion. It will not budge under makeup and doesn’t cause your foundation to look caked up either. I recommend that everyone use sunscreen on a daily basis no matter your age, skin conditions or skin tone. This particular sunscreen is perfect for people that have sensitive skin, acne or just need a good sunscreen. 5/5 ⭐️ Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55

UPDATE:
This has really been
UPDATE: This has really been such an frustrating and disheartening process because, despite periodic improvements, my acne has generally gotten worse over time. But seeing different medical professionals recently has brought the big picture together and I’m hoping to see sustained improvements with a little guidance. First, I finally got in to see a derm and within seconds of seeing my face, told me that this is hormonal cystic nodular acne. Then, immediately after that, strongly recommended accutane. Discouraged that this was her first recommendation, I asked about some other treatments that I had researched. We settled on a 2 month course of doxycycline with topical tretinoin. After that, there will be a follow up to consider spironolactone. Then, I made an appointment with my gyno. Together, we realized that my switching from the pill to IUD contraceptive a couple years ago may have led to this exacerbation (oral contraceptives can treat hormonal acne). Since I had been on the pill since I was 18 (am currently 26), my hormonal acne was subdued for years. We are waiting on results for hormone levels to direct my care. I’ve also researched possible influence of food intolerances, stress, etc that will have to be considered. Skincare will go a long way but it is good to know that I am approaching this from a holistic standpoint considering that OTC products for skincare alone may only be successful for ~20% of cases of hormonal acne. —————————— Hello! This is my first post. My skin type is combination. Im normally acne prone around the jawline, and now with COVID, have to wear a mask for all 12 hours of work! The friction and closed environment has made it really challenging to manage breakouts, which get bad with workdays and only begin to recover in between shifts. Currently using PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strengthtwice a day. I follow with DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid as toner. I’ve been skipping my normal vitamin C serum to avoid added irritation. At nighttime I use CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion and in the daytime I use Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55. I’m not sure if this is fungal acne or how to tell. Working to not pick! I’ve seen this routine clear existing bumps very slowly and a lot of the marks just need to fade and are effectively cleared. I read that I may need to change detergents and clean pillow cases, clean phone, avoid touching face etc. and am hoping to get some advice or feedback for my current plan.

Review my routine 💕

Hey! So this what my everyday routine looks like.. It's not very sophisticated, I'm a grad student and barely get time to follow something regularly. But I'm trying to get better at it and would love to get feedback! I wash my face twice a day (plus before and after workouts) with the CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin[] I follow this with Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer[] Before going out I use a sunscreen Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55[] Once a week I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution[] for about 8 minutes followed by the moisturizer again I try to keep up on my face masks and when I do, I use the DERMAL KOREAN BEAUTY COSMETICS - Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet[] or a simple DIY face mask with gramflour, turmeric and rose water Some things about my skin: - I have dry skin that tends to be sensitive. These days it feels a bit more oily (summers?) - I am trying to incorporate the The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG[] for my dark circles because I tend to have a bad sleep schedule due to my research - I sometimes use aloe vera and cucumbers when my face feels particularly sensitive or I need something calming - I don't apply soap to my face when I shower - I rarely use makeup except for a setting powder on top of sunscreen for when I face feels oily And thats about it! I'd love to get your feedback on how I can improve my routine 😊😘
