MISSHA- Waterproof Sun Milk, SPF 50+ PA+++
Acne Skin Duo
I have enjoyed using these over the past week. They have worked in tandem to overall improve the texture of my skin and are slowly ridding my skin of pesky acne. Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector I honestly thought this product would smell like straight up chemicals but was pleasantly surprised when it smelled similar to a witch hazel toner. The active ingredient in this is 0.5% salicylic acid. I have to admit I have not used a toner in quite some time, but the salicylic acid was what drew me to the product in the first place. I got five salicylic acid chemical peels done last year which improved my skin greatly, needless to say I have high hopes for this product. I like how simple the application process of using this process is and how well the pump works in the bottle. The only thing I really dislike about this product is that you need cotton rounds to use it properly. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance My face isn’t shiny! This mattifying primer does what it says it is supposed to. I have found when I use this in the morning it takes a lot longer for my face to become shiny and oily during the day. This product has no overpowering scents to bother sensitive skin. I dislike that I have to use two to three pumps to cover my face, especially since the bottle is so small. I say give the Refine duo from Glossier a try if you struggle with shiny combination skin and stubborn acne!

WORST SKINCARE OF 2020!
My last post was on my picks for the best 2020 skincare, but now we’re talking about the worst skincare products. Unfortunately there’s a lot of bad products out there, especially with skincare becoming a huge trend. Keep in mind these are my opinions and thoughts, and everyone’s skin is different. Cleanser: For cleaner I’ve chosen The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which is $7.90 for 1 fl oz on Sephora. This cleanser is ok, and squalane is normally a great hydrating ingredient, but in my experience and through what many reviews say, this product does almost nothing for your skin, so I would pass on this one. Exfoliator: This exfoliator is the worst one ever! It has fragrance, is a walnut scrub, meaning the exfoliants are huge and pointy, and it doesn’t break down with water., making you scrub even harder to get it off. It also has alcohol. I’m talking about the ST. Ives - Acne Control Face Scrub With Salicylic Acid Do not get this product ever, ever, ever! Toner: I’ve said I don’t think toners are necessary, and that continues with the MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater If you insist on a toner, don’t get a Mario Badescu one. That includes their face mists to. Why? Because they have tons of fragrance, and alcohol! I have two whole posts on why those ingredients are bad. This is a no. Serum: More Mario Badescu products on this list. These aren’t bad, I mean it’s hard to get a serum wrong, but they just are so overpriced! They sell $35-$45 serums with formulas more basic the The Ordinary! If you love these, great! But if you’re on a budget, try The Ordinary instead. Face Mask: For face masks my pick is a little more general. I choose sheet masks. A sheet mask, is made of cloth, and soaked in serum. I have a few issues with sheet masks. First they’re very bad for the environment as they’re made of non biodegradable cloth and chemical serums. Secondly there’s the formulations themselves. These masks have tons of fragrance, alcohol, and are made with low quality serums. Instead, I would get a nice fragrance free, alcohol free serum, for the same benefits but better. Moisturizer: For moisturizer I choose the Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance . This moisturizer isn’t bad per say, but they market their product as hydrating and soothing, but it really isn’t more than any other product. The only hydrating ingredient they have is squalane, but it’s so far down the ingredient list that it won’t help with hydration that much at such a low dose. This moisturizer also has tons of essential oils and extracts, which can be extremely irritating to some skin types. Those are the terrible products I have! Give this post a cheer so we can warn more people about these products and comment below your least favorite product and why. Follow me on Cherie for more amazing content! -Mae

RUN DOWN OF GLOSSIER MOISTURIZERS ❤️
Hey guys!! I felt like sharing my opinions about Glossier's priming moisturizers, since they aren't created equal, are for different skin types, and I want to explain how they're different from each other. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer - best for normal skin and not oily skin, since it leaves lots of oil in the t-zone. It also is great for the morning routine, but with my oily & dry & normal combo skin 🤯, it is good and bad for parts of my face. It soaks in well for dry and normal skin but tends to make oily skin oilier since it's not hydrating enough sometimes (this is why the priming moisturizer rich is my FAVE). Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance - best for oily skin and oily combo skin since it really soaks in well and has the right formula to prevent oily skin from being even oilier. The texture is like a thinner milky jelly cleanser that has a slightly watery feel, and makes the skin super soft. It's good around the t-zone as well. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream - MY FAVORITE ONE EVER !! It smells like lavender and it's so hydrating!!! I would literally bathe in this because it is so smooth and soft. It's perfect for dry skin since it gives the hydration you need when your skin feels like Spongebob without water in Sandy's house 😂. It also makes skin soft and is super easy to apply, plus the amount in the tub is pretty generous for the price - $35 for 1.7 oz and it goes a long way too. Hope this helps anyone trying to figure out which Glossier Priming Moisturizer is right for their skin!! Stay healthy ! :)
Night routine 2 🌙
Here's the version 2 for my night routine, which I use every other day. I do the other routine on nights when I don't use this one - so in other words, I alternate between both routines to end up with an every other day schedule. Here we go: Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser - 1 pump, helps smooth skin out and gets dirt off Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector - 2 pumps on a cotton round for acne on whole face Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance - almost 1 pump on t zone Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream - I put a little bit on my finger, not enough to completely cover my index fingertip, but enough to moisturize half my face, so really not that much - about a penny sized amount but half that Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray - enough until it feels nice, helps redness and gets me in the winding down mode of sleep Hope this helps anyone needing a routine and/or trying to fix any skin problems they have. ✨
Glossier.-Milky Jelly Cleanser
Current night routine!!
This has been my night routine for a few days now since I want my skin to be brighter, have less acne, and be hydrated. Here's the steps: Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser - I'm currently on a trip, so I have the travel size, so I used two pumps. I normally use one pump with the 6 oz bottle. Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum - ok it's tough to say how much I use, since it's like a small drop on my cheeks and forehead that I smooth in. I'd say I use like about 1/4 of a full dropper as an estimate?? Maybe it's less but I don't use so much that my face is wet. Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream - I do literally a half-pump because I don't need that much, plus it's super hydrating. If I do have extra then I put it below my eyebrows on the eye socket bone - but not on my eyelid. I find this area gets dry too. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance - I use one pump and distribute it to my nose, nose bridge, chin, top of my cheeks (like the top half) and my forehead near my eyebrows; basically my t-zone, since this area gets super oily and if I put priming moisturizer rich on it, then it's hydrated but then super oily because it's too much hydration. I like the formula because it soaks in and prevents oilness after hydration (if you find what amount works for you). Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream - I put this on the dry and normal areas of my face - on my bottom cheek area/jawline, most of my forehead, and any areas I missed. I use enough to cover my fingertip with some on top, like the size of a penny. Also if I get any redness before this step then the lavender usually calms it down which is nice. Clearasil - Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream - the amount I use daily depends on what acne I have, but usually it's a super tiny anount and it really goes a long way. Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray - I spray until I feel satisfied tbh and when my skin is cool again and redness subsides - about 5-10 seconds of spraying. Hope this helps for anyone with combo skin!! Btw I'm combo because I have normal, dry and oily areas of my skin and it's fun to see what my skin needs everyday.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
